Well maintained trail and beautiful falls!

Had a great day. Beautiful scenery. Will do again in the near future.

This trail delivered just what I was looking for as far as being a bit challenging but nothing crazy and the payoff at the top was amazing ! I went on a Sunday morning , on the way up it was only minimally busy, the rock itself was pretty crowded and on the way back down around 1pm was very heavily trafficked and SO MANY off leash dogs, which would have been fine as long as you don't have a dog reactive dog with you, as my friend did . I would not suggest bringing a dog unless it is extremely well trained and non dog reactive because it appears that off leash dogs on this trail is a big thing .

I would totally do this hike again but probably on a weekday or a colder day to avoid the crowd.

I loved the views on this trail. It was a bit rooty but not bad. I am new to hiking and did the trail with ease. To get the cave with waterfall tho is a boulder climb which may be where you turn around! The bathrooms tho were horrid I held it the entire time because of how bad they were.

not horribly difficult. it's is almost completely uphill on the outward leg. lots of springs so the trail gets pretty wet. We did it in tennis shoes and had no issues. amazing view at the end.

Beautiful! Hiked to all three falls Nov 10, 2018. Well maintained trail and gorgeous falls.

My family and I had a great time on this beautiful hike. We love hiking near water and this hike follows the creek more than 90% of the time. My daughters are 6 and 7 and pretty experienced hikers already. This was an easy hike for them and our 2 dog (Vizsla & Yorkie).

Fun, pretty hike. Not hard, I did it 6 months pregnant!

Beautiful hike! Did this with my sons last weekend. It was cloud and overcast, so we stayed cool. The falls are a great payoff. I don't recommend climbing to the top of the cliff, it has gotten very dangerous since my last visit a few years ago.

One of my favorite hikes now. The entire hike you’re hiking along a beautiful creek and the incline is easy/moderate until you get to the cliff-which is a very steep and slightly treacherous climb rather than hike but the views to see the waterfall and top of cliff are more than worth it

First off awesome, burning hike. Lots of ups and downs and long. Be prepared with water and food! Start of hike is fairly simple, then long downhill which means back up on the return. Seems like it takes forever to reach fire tower, but what a site if you have a clear day. Fall is the best time. Hiked this past weekend, 29 degrees on the top. Just perfect.

beautiful hike and impressive waterfall

I hiked from the trail head to shinning creek path, camped and then came back. This was an extremely strenuous trail but the views were incredible.

Great hike! This is one of those hikes where the journey is a enjoyable as the destination...pretty woods, creek crossings, we took our dogs and they loved it as well.

Amazing hike! We hiked in and camped in the wooded section just off the summit and hiked back out in the morning. I had read that camping was prohibited on the summit, but there were dozens of tents set up. Very popular spot!

Great hike! I would rate most of the trail easy and very pet/kid friendly. Many photo opportunities of the beautiful waterfalls.
if you want to climb to the top of the falls it is very steep and I would rate it as strenuous.

This is a really nice 1/2 day hike. The payoff at the end with the view is really beautiful, especially in the fall. Definitely would suggest making that your lunch spot. I would rate this moderate not hard, at least when comparing it to some other hikes in the region such as table rock. That being said however, it is overall an upwards gradient just about the whole time, but the switchbacks in the first half are generally pretty smooth and gradual which is why I rate it more moderate (I saw young children making it to the top...albeit it took them extra time). Lots of dogs in the trail. It took us 1 hour 20 minutes to get up with one short water break, stayed at the view for about an hour, and then took 1 hour 10 minutes to come back down. Trail was pretty busy, but did go on a Saturday.

Beautiful hike with fall color and lots of photo opportunities. Don’t know that I’d rate it as moderate. More like an easy hike. Only a few ups and downs. Passed lots of kids and dogs. Lots of falls along the way. Lots of places to stop and have a picnic. Fall was running heavy after recent rains.

Hiked this with my 7 year old; took about 3 hours. We both loved it! Got a little nervous go be up so high at the summit with just the kiddo, dog and me; but a good opportunity to teach safety. It was beautiful, especially during leaf season. I would not rate this trail as hard; more moderate than anything. My son and I even trail ran the last mile.

Amazing hike... long with no real hard climbs.. the view from the top is well worth it!!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful hike and the waterfalls really nice to hear along the way. The leaves were falling and the contrast of colors were so nice. Loved this trail so much!

Wonderful trail! Follows a creek the whole way, so you get interesting scenery around every bend and the constant, calming sound of babbling water. Plus, there's plenty of places to stop, splash in the creek, or just set awhile and relax. Saw a lot of people camping along the trail.

The waterfall at the end was unique, but kind of a let down. But I didn't mind because the hike there and back was fantastic! This was a fairly crowded trail, so recommend going on a weekday if you can. My dog loved it, with plenty of shade and water to splash in so she stayed cool despite the summer heat.

Amazing view as everyone said. Took me 2hr 50 min out and back. I'll take it considering I'm a bit out of shape. lots of dogs and can be very muddy after rain.

This hike was actually further than I thought. I read 1.6 miles to the main falls but it actually seemed more than that. maybe is was all the elevation changes. Excellent walk. The trail actually goes outside of the State Park where it is not quite so well maintained so expect some dodgy bits. At some point in the trail follows the river with several smaller Rapids to view. The Falls themselves are spectacular. Well worth the trouble.

This trail is perfect for all ages! Easy hike in. Just watch out for tree roots. Very unique waterfall. Never seen anything like it. I always wondered what it was like bc of the pictures. This is one you need to see for yourself. The water was flowing real good after Friday’s rain. The fall leaves on the ground made the perfect setting for a beautiful hike!

Such a great workout! The waterfall was breathtaking!

Hiked this on 10/21 with my husband. It was definitely a challenge for both of us, but the views at the top made it absolutely worth it. There was a lot of temperature change on the way up and down so packing layers is a must. Give yourself at least 6 hours for this hike. The trail itself is straightforward and easy to follow on the way up, but on the way down it is easy to take the wrong trail when passing by campsites as there are sometimes multiple trails leading off. I’m surprised this trail isn’t more popular because it was definitely one of my favorites, but no complaints because we had the summit to ourselves for over a half hour!

First time hike with all the gear tent etc.

Shaded, so always cool. Streams along most of the trail, so there are lots of places for pups to stop and cool off. Lots of roots. So watch your step! Favorite hike in North Georgia!

A must hike!!! Breathtaking views.
