Good, rocky hike. Some nice resting spots with beautiful views

Great hike. we took the upper falls trail side to start (which is much easier section than the lower falls trail that starts on the other side of the parking lot) Once you get to the upper falls section you need to cross the water and go up to the next pool up for the rope swing and rock slide. we had a blast sliding down the rocks and using the rope swing. Then we took the trail the rest of the way down to the lower falls where there is a much longer rock slide. the second half of the loop back to the parking lot from the lower falls are switch backs the whole way (or you can take the many short cuts that go straight up if you want) Definitely a must see.

Best view you will see in North Carolina!! Relatively easy hike with a huge payoff. Highly recommended.

Love this trail probably one of my favorites

The end of the trail at the peak of the mountain makes the hike completely worth it! It's a gorgeous 360° view.

Best hiking trail on the parkway with the best views! It is very convenient and it is located right off of the Parkway! This trail is very unique compared to other hiking trails in the area! If you are planning a hiking trip, this is a must do!

Great views from a number of rocky outcrops, including views of the Linn Cove Viaduct, and expansive Blue Ridge mountain vistas. Budget at least an hour round trip, more if it had just rained or trail is wet. It gets very muddy after rain and the rocks can get very slippery. Multiple parts with steps, no gravel, mostly dirt/rocks combination mixed with tree roots. Good footwear needed; Once I did it in my running shoes - not a great idea. Moderate to hard in places.
Avoid, if possible, during weekends, or after 10am, as it gets uber-crowded. Children over 6 should be able to do it, as well as older adults in reasonably good shape/health.
Overall: great short hiking opportunity;

Note to BRP maintenance crews: trail is overgrown with shrubbery in places, no gravel left either, it's literally begging for some maintenance TLC.

Amazing views! A religious experience and I’m an atheist.

Challenging enough but very doable (my 8 and 5 year olds were fine). Views are amazing and worth the hike.

A great hike with amazing views. A walking stick is helpful at times.

The parking lot is unimproved dirt and is medium sized so it fills quickly. (I was almost the first car in the lot when I got there and after hiking Hooker-Triple-High Falls the lot was packed and cars lined both sides of the road.) Hooker Falls Trail leads to a popular swimming area at the base of the falls and is only minutes from the parking lot. After an easy walk to view this small falls, double back, cross the bridge, and head uphill to the beautiful Triple Falls and further up to High Falls. At Triple Falls there is a long set of wooden steps that lead you to a flat rock landing between the 2nd and 3rd falls and is an excellent spot to view and photograph all three of the Triple Falls. (Don't miss this.) The viewing area has a single wire cable preventing visitors from straying too near the falls but kids could walk right under it. High Falls is a beautiful, long double cascade with a covered bridge at the top and can be easily seen from the viewing area along the trail.

Hiked this fun trail today with my parents in their 50s and my youngest sister who is 12. Not at all difficult for me but a little slippery on the way down. Beautiful views to the South and a very pretty waterfall at the trailhead. Strongly recommend!

1 mile round trip moderate hike with beautiful sites along the way, from views to flowers, and natural beauty everywhere you turn. What an incredible view from the top too, and the scents of flowers fills the air.

Gets a little steep at the end, but the views are so worth it! When you get to the top, head right for an awesome panoramic view of the mountains! If you go to the left, you can scramble out to some rocks for really good views of Table Rock as well! We started the hike at about 1pm and there weren’t too many people up top which was nice!

This was a pretty easy trail to get to the top. We were up and back down to the parking lot in an hour, with a few stops to enjoy the view.

First real trail we’ve hiked since moving to North Carolina. It’s definitely our new favorite hobby. We went down the lower trail first and somehow found out way back to the upper for a complete loop. It took us right about an hour. Beautiful views

Hiked from the parking lot up to the overlooks, then down to the bridge and back. The bridge has some excellent rock scrambling opportunities. Took my 6+9 yr old boys; they tripped or slid a couple times on the trail, but we're very careful near the edges. Picked lots of blueberries around the overlooks, but they hide off the beaten path.
The trail from the overlooks to the second half of the trail is overgrown and easy to miss, but opens up after you squeeze through.

The hike is super steep so wear the right shoes. Gorgeous falls and completely worth the hike.

Love this hike. Great for families. Our 7 and 5 year old did fine with some coaching on slippery rocks. The incline is almost 500ft and the views are worth the work.

Beautiful views

Perfect directions by SuperTrampGoesWild. I’ll just add that there’s now a trail marker sign for Setrock

A beautiful trail and destination! the view of the mountains from the upper falls and the water slide at the lower falls makes for an amazing hike.

a beautiful trail (would rate as moderate) that climbs steeply at the last bit for an amazing view! to the left is a great view of table rock and lots of jagged boulders to explore. to the right is a 360 degree view of the beautiful blue ridge mountains!

Steep and lots of roots. Beautiful scenery.
