Extremely easy hike as most of the trail was paved. The bridge and the water is beautiful and we definitely enjoyed it as a more leisurely hike.

just watch out for the horse poo otherwise an awsome trail to walk for the whole family. very well maintained.

Very scenic, great for all ages!

Not an overly challenging hike, but very peaceful, fairly well maintained in most areas, and a good view of the river by the end!

This is a beautiful place to take a hike or run through the woods with a fair amount of solitude during the week. Plan to meet horseback riders—my dog enjoyed meeting a few horses in a very controlled environment. Keeping dogs leashed is important here for the safety of the riders, horses and the pup!

Beautiful wooded hike. I found maps a bit confusing at first but found my way around. Really could have spent all day there. My dogs were well exercised when we got back to the car. Beautiful day.

flew in from Tulsa today and fell in love with this trail. I came back out of the trail head just at full dark and it was perfect.

cute small falls

Beautiful in any season. The lake and trees are lovely. Great for the whole family for biking, picnics and get togethers. My dog and I visit frequently.

Easy trail, great for families and on-leash dog walking. Draw backs were how busy it was, and parking. Overall, a very nice walk.

My first hike in a couple of years so I wanted something easy. There and out was actually 7 miles, I went mid August and there we no bugs really. We went early so plenty of parking, by the time we got back it was packed. It was an 85 degree day so we ended up at the beach in the water after which was nice. I know I’ll go again. I loved it.

on June Lake Trail

Trail in was okay, but views of the lake have disappeared. Shrubs have grown up around the lake blocking the view and there was a lot of green-black stuff growing in the lake. This is not the summertime hike it used to be.

Tuesday early afternoon, we saw about 15 people total, which is more than I'm used to on other trails. Everyone was super polite and we still got to the lake and enjoyed it solo for almost 45 minutes, which was a real treat. Not as many bugs as expected, very clear and easy hike. Definitely a good starter trail or hike with kids. Only a short part vaugely close to a drop off but the trail is wide and it's not directly adjacent the trail.

Beautiful views of the mountain and stream. June Lake is pretty to look at, but it is not a lake; it's the little cousin of a pond. Not great for hammock camping if you need relatively specific distances between trees for your tarp, and don't plan on even getting your shins cooled down in the "lake". Great day hike if you just want to see some views though!

I hiked part of this trail in July. My friends & I found sooo many huckleberries!!! We spent hours picking. A beautiful spot & pretty waterfall.

Great hike, although the amount of horse crap that is everywhere is pretty gross. Just be careful. Its literally everywhere.

I like this trail. Worth squirming your way to the waterfalls when you get to the lake. Theres the big one and a misty one with great photo ops. Pretty quiet and easy trail. Mushrooms  everywhere but can’t pick

Saw ducks, blue herons, cranes, hawks, several varieties of small birds, deer and nutria. The four hundred year old oaks are amazing.

Love this hike so much. It so secluded and a beautiful walk. Could spend all day here. The signs are a bit confusing at first but I do love it. The mill is always a great see.

We loved bringing our dogs here to enjoy this beautiful spot. I loved being nestled in all the nature surrounding me. We saw a coyote, it was near the trail by the farm but ran into the farm land when we came by. It didn’t run into the woods, just stood watching us. We saw tons of birds. Very nice place!

Great place to take kids, see some horses and listen to the birds, see the beautiful trees and not too difficult. Beautiful place to use your imagination.

Nice, easy hike to a lake with a waterfall flowing into it. The lake didn't look very appealing to swim in because the it has a gooey muddy shore and is pretty shallow, but it's beautiful for taking a photo. I want to come back and do a backpacking trip up further on the Loowit Trail.

We were there on a summer weekend but only saw a handful of other people. However there was a considerable amount of trash on this trail; I picked up 3 aluminum cans, a gatorade bottle, plastic food packaging from where someone had camped at the lake, and a lot of micro-trash. There were cigarette butts, dog poop bags, and used TP as well that I did not pick up...

easy trail. very enjoyable for a Saturday hike

Being that it was a Saturday in July I was expecting the park to be busy and it was, the main parking lot was full. I parked in the equestrian parking lot and walked the outer most trail. I didn’t meet anyone who was walking the trail and I met only 9 equestrians. Most of the trail is in the shade, perfect for a warm summer day.

great walk, lots of shade

Great city trail. You can alter it a bit by walking within Parson's Airfield. That was a great alternative to hiking the city street portion of the trail yet maintained the distance. Easy parking near the Fort or on Officer's Row. Bring water for yourself or dog during the hot summer as there is limited shade options other than the historic park specifically.

Amazing trails, we got to see people on there horses, and see the beautiful scenery. I’ll definitely be going back to this one... One thing to keep in mind there are steep hills there. But great all around!!

Wonderful escape, not far from town.. watch out for stinging nettles!!
