It’s a great trail but unlike the proposed route, it’s not actually possible to cross the suspension bridge from the west side. If you zoom into this proposed hike, you’d have to go off trail.

Love this at beginning of hiking season! Lol my hiking season haha perfect starter hike for the big uns

The hike started abit crazy at first. Felt grouse grind all over due to the stairs. Although once you get to the chief/sea to summit separation section everything changes. So far the most amazing hike I have ever done. I really took my time and enjoyed every bit of it.
There are a couple sections thou, the loose rock section and the rope climbing one are not all easy. The last section with the rock was alittle insane to me. Did it in April so the last 25% was full of snow. Be careful as some sections get really deep.
All and all this was an amazing hike for a moderate level hiker, well worth exploring before hitting harder hikes.

First 30 minutes quite tough then eases up a bit and then becomes harder halfway to the finish. 7.5 km to the gondola one way. Worth every huff and puff.

Wonderful challenge! No two steps are the same. Be prepared to use your mind, body, and spirit for this hike. There are some really cool views of the Howe Sound and Shannon Falls.

What a beautiful trail. Well marked path with lots of people using the trail. Not long but the top is amazing would definitely go again in the summer

Beautiful trail and is now one of my favorites! The trail is both covered with shade and has areas uncovered to feel the sun. Lots of trees and benches along the way, and spots to take in the views, have lunch and enjoy. Perfect for families and biking riding, running and for dogs. There’s a small waterfall, swimming areas, and perfect for kayaking. I’ll be back lots now that I found this spot!

Nice easy one, beautiful

Great payoff for a very easy and short hike with minimal incline. Did it with crampons mid January

Beautiful hike, but the lake was disappointing. Not a good vantage point to really appreciate it.

Busy trail but beautiful hike through the forest. Tolerated very well with hiking shoes for walking and running. Some icy areas at the last 300m stretch before the view. Individuals with snowshoes needed to remove them around this last stretch due to icy inclines

The hike was great make sure you take poles and proper snowshoes. The view on the top is amazing. Make sure you check the avalanche warnings there are about 4 avalanche paths make sure you are prepared before you head up in the winter.

Easy enough to do with hiking boots and yaktrax as the trail is very packed down. A little too busy for my liking but worth the view!

This was a beautiful trail, not too remote and not difficult. Lots of places to enjoy a snack and the lake.

good snow shoe trail, can get too busy. easy to use just crampons instead of shoes. great view up top.

This one I love snow or no snow. The inclines are great to get you sweating and feel a little challenging but it's well worth it in the end , make sure you pick a day where the sky is clear for the view, when the snow comes, so do the whiskey jacks so bring some bread or seeds. It's a great hike for the family too or beginners in snow shoeing, safe. And dog friendly.

October 29. Easy trail up, pretty views up top. Muddy spots here and there but it’s late in the season and has rained a bit. Pretty busy, people and dogs. Took the east trail up and down. I prefer Tunnel Bluffs over this one. Same view but shorter.

Thanksgiving hike.... very busy and slippery on tree branches... not an easy hike I would say more moderate. But so worth the views at the top on a clear day.

Went really early in the morning at sunrise. The hike itself was easy but would recommend good hiking shoes. The trails consists of mostly tree roots and mud. Tree stumps, logs, and bridges are placed along the trail to get across creeks and mud. Great views

Did this hike on Sunday. Well marked and very very busy. The first half (steepest section) is well maintained then it turns to the typical roots, dirt and and rocks. Not terribly hard for a 10+km hike. Spectacular views from the summit.

Fun hike, beautiful views. Primarily for mountain biking, but fine for hiking.

Did the trail last Saturday morning. Well marked and very busy with great views from Dog Mt. Not very challenging for a moderate trail but some tricky footing with the roots. We came back via Suicide Bluffs which made the total length closer to 6.6km and only saw two other people on this section. Stunning views from the lookout before (clockwise travel) Suicide Bluff also. Bugs not bad at all this time of year either.

normally love this hike and as I'm not from the area, was very excited to get up there yesterday to do it again. unfortunately, we decided to turn back to the car before we even made it to the trail head. to say it was buggy is an understatement. we felt like we were in Steven King's "the mist". you couldn't take a step without having atleast three fly into your face, one in your ear and a couple in your nose or mouth. it was brutal! And we weren't the only ones. people were running back to their cars, covering their faces lol. will try again in a few weeks. hopefully the bugs will have died down a bit by then, the more the snow melts and the drier it gets.

but the hike itself is beautiful. beautiful view at the top. moderately challenging for people who aren't super fit and athletic but more nice weather hikers, which I like because I can't do super challenging but easy is too easy most of the time. it can be slippery with some tricky footing so wear good shoes, probably actual hiking boots, though I've done it in runners but at times had to be extra careful not to twist an ankle.

Our favourite snowshoe trail!

Did this one a couple months ago and loved the challenge. Was even better the second time as I knew what to expect. Took 3 hours motoring pretty fast. It is difficult - long, scrambling, inclines. But not impossible. It's nice how it repeatedly challenges you and then evens out for a bit. Eat a good breakfast and bring lots of water. I went through 3L. Worth the beer and view at the end!

Super busy, but it thins out dramatically if you continue onwards to The Lions! It's so worth it.
