First hike I ever did here in CO. Amazing

Good hike. Little disappointed trail went only to top of falls. Aspen leaves pretty much all gone. But interesting snow/ice in stream bed just above falls. I am 65 and over 240 lbs but in decent shape and very used to CO hiking so found it to be moderate difficulty. Went with adult niece & nephew who are not acclimated but they did fine. Took our time so spent about 4hrs altogether. Recommend this hike and if we started earlier would have definitely gone on well beyond Falls. By the way I think backpacking is allowed here.

Beautiful views & scenery most of the way. Went in October and bit more snow than expected!
But beautiful once you get to the lake. I wore running shoes and it was okay but hiking shoes would have made it easier!

A beautiful hike. Top of the falls is a great lunch spot. We didn’t scramble around enough (in the snow) to get a good view of the falls.

Beautiful, fun trail.

Short and steep - poles are handy, especially in the rain. I saw lots of visitors from sea-level who were struggling with this trail. I wouldn't recommend it for flat-landers unless they are already acclimated and/or in excellent shape! At the very least, come prepared for Colorado's changing weather. Falls are pretty and there were still pockets of golden aspens even though most of Vail Valley is past peak.

nice hike. beautiful trees changing the day we hiked. 75 minutes up to main falls from trail head. falls worth exploring up river from trail.

A good bit of pavement to actually get to trailhead, then heavily trafficked. Good trail if your staying in Beaver Creek, otherwise there are better options.

Quite a scenic trail, we were looking to make it a harder endevor, so we ran/hiked up to the falls. We made it to the falls in just under 45 minutes, with a few photo stops along the way. Parking wasn't an issue for us, as we started in the afternoon. Our first hike in the area, and it was beautiful. Coming from sea level we could feel the elevation though!

Loved this hike! For parking i had to drive past the road to the TH and take the next right after the park.
this trail delivers all the way to the falls. The fall colors have definitely peaked but they still had a lot to offer!!
The incline is steady and pretty challenging but the falls make it all worth it!
I took a hammock and hung it right next to the falls to relax for a bit before heading back down. It was soo peaceful!! I would definitely make the drive out to this trail again.

this hike is a 99% incline uphill 3+ miles so be prepared for that. also be prepared that 80% of the hike you are looking out to not step in horse poop. it's a horse trail and human trail so constantly looking on the ground. other than That! beautiful views and a gorgeous lake at the top. you will be tired coming down and sore the next day!

I know that with most things, opinions are highly variable. Having got that "disclaimer"aside however, Booth Creek Falls has got to be in my top 5 BEAUTIFUL hikes, most especially if the Aspen are in their full glory. It is also in my top 5 most difficult hikes. The change in elevation is not the issue. The relief is. It is like working out on a "stair-master" for 3 hours (round trip). The increase in relief and elevation, in some places nearly 32% (if the AllTrails app is to be believed), is unrelenting and starts right at the beginning in a series of switch-backs and keeps on challenging you until you reach the falls. The last 1/8th mile is maybe the most difficult/steepest portion, though by this point your legs may be nearly spent (mine were) making it seem worse than it might be otherwise. The Aspen were pretty this year, but not at their best (we missed peak by 1 week I'v been told.) Also, as a working Geologist there is some interesting geology to be seen along the way. Finally, parking is a real problem, made worse by my hike being on a weekend. I've uploaded some photos and hope you appreciate them. Again, a GREAT but challenging hike.

Ammmmazing views. Got there around 8 and there were only 3 parking spots left. Definitely a little steep at first, but slow and steady and you’ll be fine.

Beautiful Trail! In mid September the leaves are changing and glow in the sunlight! at the end of the trail is a beautiful waterfall The parking is small and strict but if you park at the Park just west its with in walking distance.

Did this hike this week on the way back from Utah. It was a last ditch effort after realizing that Hanging Lake is closed. The views are incredible especially now with the fall leaves. I would say the hike is definitely worth it. As others have said parking is a nightmare and I honestly have no other idea where there is overflow parking or where to pick up the shuttle. We got there on a Monday midday and still had to wait for a spot. Overall the hike was amazing, I would rate it as moderate and not difficult. Also if you have good boots/shoes you can venture further up the falls and find some more falls which are beautiful. Overall I would definitely do this hike again, next time to the lake!

Great hike in the fall! Parking is a nightmare... even on a Wednesday every spot was full. Sounded like there’s a shuttle service from town. Would have done 5 starts but trail head parking lot only had like 12 spaces.

Beautiful scenery and a variety of views! We are 50 and not seasoned hikers but in pretty good shape . Uphill on the way to the falls.. down hill coming back. Hard and steep at times but worth the views. Saw all ages on the trail. Took about 2.5 hours total which included time for lots of photos along the way.

This is a great short hike especially if you leave early in the morning work shaded on the Eastern slope.

Pretty fun! Ride it up the road first so you can coast all the way across! Really quick ride!

This was an absolutely amazing hike. The leaves are changing so beautifully which made it so much more magical! It’s labeled as difficult but I would say it’s a medium-hard hike. There are some steep parts but for the most part it’s just an uphill climb with a great reward at the end! Very clean trail, but very well trafficked. I recommend getting to the trail before 8 am (or even earlier). We arrived at 8:40 am and were really glad we came early because the hike back was pretty busy. Also, only park in designated parking spots because you WILL get a ticket if you’re parked on the side or the road. Overall, despite it being a busy trail, it’s probably one of my favorite hikes! Enjoy!

Have hiked this trail 3 times. Always a pleasure. I take my dog. He loves the lake. I try to hike during the week to avoid crowds.

Beautiful trail. Lots of photo ops. Went when aspens were turning colors. Nothing like it. Difficult trail, though. Take plenty of water.

Hiked this morning 9/11/18
A good hike up, enjoyed the scenery and took pictures. I would consider this a moderate and not hard trail compared to some other ones. We had great weather this morning, cool and some sun at time. Water is really low, therefore the fall is very small.

Hiked 9/9/18. The leaves are turning colors and it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! The water is low so you are able to walk on top of the waterfall and take pics on the edge of the drop off! Good workout! We clocked 5.8miles which is longer than what All Trails has as the distance. Definitely a great summer and fall hike!

Very beautiful but WARNING! Very very very limited parking. And the vail police will give you an expensive ticket if you park ANYWHERE other than that small parking lot beside the trail... even if there is no sign saying not to... not that I am bitter or anything. But the trail itself is beautiful. A bit longer than you think though.

What a great trail and stunning scenery along the way! Perfect mix of beautiful meadows with creeks and shaded areas full of aspen trees. We made it to the falls in an hour (including number of stops for pictures). After the falls we continued towards the lake. The number of hikers was reduced drastically as the majority stop at the falls. Overall, one of the most scenic hikes we completed. Highly recommend!!

This was a very nice hike! It is about 2.0 miles to the lake, with easy-moderate hills the whole way, and it is basically in the shade the whole way. The lake itself is very pretty and a great place for a dog to go swimming and cool off. It would also be a gorgeous place to have a picnic.

Absolutely beautiful hike. Well trafficked, so start early to avoid the crowds. Challenging climb at beginning and end, with relatively mild mid-portion. Great views of the aspens and wildflowers. Falls are beautiful but have limited views to really appreciate them in full.

This is a good little hike that will get the blood pumping. The view along the way, as well as the time spent at the falls made it worth the effort. Not a lot of parking a available so get there early to avoid any hassles.
