It was a tough hike with the week’s snowfall (10” +) melting away, making footing sloppy. But the scenery was beautiful and I got an excellent cardio. Walked the full 11k loop.

Crevices and scenic bluffs view easy to reach. Nice hike and especially pretty after season’s first snow fall.

great place nice view. Great off trial challenges.

This is an extremely beautiful trail with varied terrain. Hiking shoes are absolutely required to navigate a few sections. It is definitely “moderate”. I echo the comment about doing the loop counter-clockwise (ie follow the Bruce Trail white blaze markings) unless you want to incorporate more cardio. Regardless you won’t be disappointed.

A good hike. The ground was damp following overnight rain, combined with fallen leaves, meant footing in some places was slippery.

Beautiful day for a hike. Signage at Metcalf was very poor and a few other areas after. Shortly after there is a bit of a ladder that was slightly difficult for my dog.
Parking lot holds about 5 cars but can park on roadside.
Energetic hike took 4 hours including rest and getting turned around.
Need good shoes lots of rocks.

Great hiking spot. Diverse landscapes, beautiful views. Bugs were not bad at all. Would definitely explore this area again.

Sept 15 - very warm day for hiking but the cedar and delicious tree canopy made for a very comfortable hike. Amazing crevices!

It was a lot tougher than I was expecting. Probably wouldn’t volunteer for that hike again & I’m in decent physical shape. Lots of different types of landscape on this walk. Everything from walking along the edge of someone’s farm field, to dirt roads to walking along the mad river and in the forest. There are lots of other trails intertwined with this loop so I highly recommend using a gps / map of you don’t know the area.

Definitely not a bike path!! Lol. The walk is thru the forest and it is full of ups and downs with rocks and tree roots exposed. We took the key hole path and it is definitely something to see and do.

Bring your bug spray, hiking stick, good hiking shoes and lots of water. It is a beautiful walk!

Beautiful trail; we especially enjoyed the Keyhole Side Trail which had rocks and crevices to climb over and through.

You may want to pay for parking ahead of time or by phone, as patchy service made the pay app a waste of time.

A great summer day for a hike. This is a moderate trail with numerous elevation changes. Bring bug spray. This is some of the nicest scenery in this section of the Bruce Trail.

This is primarily an easy to moderate trail. We were there in on long weekend and hardly saw any other hikers which was nice. It is quite beautiful with changing scenery from Deepwoods to rocks to open fields. I would recommend it if you have a wide variety of levels in your group.

Great trail. Some areas overgrown and force you to have to walk through thorn bushes and burrs. Otherwise the rest of the trail and terrain was what we expected. We will be back.

Absolutely love the section that runs through Falls Reserve. I've hit it every year since we've been camping here. Incredibly fun zipping through on the bike. Some sections really keep you on your feet!
if you are hitting it on a bike, take the first drop cautiously!

Our favourite trail on Central Ontario. Last week there was still ice in the caverns! Make sure tour find the keyhole side trail. So interesting. You won't be disappointed.

Very lightly trafficked with tones of to explore.

Not really any signs or parking or anything was really confusing so didn’t even end up going

First part of the hike is beautiful. Nice to walk along the side of the river.

What a great hike! Our 8 year old asked to go on a big walk for his birthday the end of May. We found this app and this hike. Caves were cool and the ground still frozen. Lots of bugs at the lookout but we didn't let that stop us. Also a great trail for the dogs. People are friendly too.

For someone new to hiking this trail route was a challenge but enjoyable. At my beginner pace it took 3:15hr including a lunch at the top and going off route about 1km to go through the caves etc. I got a bit turned around at the escarpment because the many other forks and paths aren’t in the map so pay close attention to your gps for guidance in this area. Beautiful views and a great afternoon !

Pleasant hike. Trilliums are out in full bloom.

Was still a little bit muddy, and definitely did not make the whole loop in this time. The bugs were getting worse the further we got into it, but definitely a trail I would check out again. You do come across some streams and cross a couple of bridges. There was tons of inclines and declines throughout the way, and the markers were being updated as we were blazing through the trails.

Great very lightly trafficked trail. Nice mix of flat, hills and rock areas to climb, also has multiple water crossings (great for the dogs). As others have said I highly recommend doing the hike counterclockwise, otherwise you will be hiking up quite a few inclines. Overall great day out, would do it again.

if you come in from the Collingwood side of 9th line the winter maintenance on this road stops About 2 km from the parking lot with a large snowbank blocking the road so you cant access the parking lot.
