Plenty of scenic views and vistas along this 1.8 mile one way/3.6 mike in/out trail. Hiked it due to RMNP being inaccessible during the government shutdown. Trailhead parking on the side of the highway 5.8 miles south of Estes Park was pretty full. Nice gradual climb the first half, then pretty steep climbs the second half after “the turn”. We started at 1:15pm and got to the rock scramble at 3:15 and turned back due to time and pending darkness. Packed snow most of the 2nd half up. Made this video from the hike: https://vimeo.com/311379986

I hit this trail around 1:30 on Saturday afternoon, fresh snow from the day before made for a beautiful and peaceful hike! I had my snowshoes with but did not need them. took around 1 1/2hrs at a casual pace, with a few minor detours.

We did this on New Year's Day after fresh snow and the views were absolutely stunning. My favorite Boulder trail that week. Added the Chapman loop to it.

Parking lot was crowded when we arrived at 12:30 on Saturday. Nice easy trail with great views of the foothills.

This start to Doudy Draw is my favorite. Hike is especially great in the summer.

Completed 1/5/19. Great hike! Loved the views. Packed snow about the last 1/3 of the hike....Used microspikes only on the way down

Beautiful and easy trail. We unexpectedly got up close and personal with some elk and turned around at 1.5 miles.

Easy trail that offers very nice views of the mountains to the west. You can go out and back or take the trail down to Chapman Drive (dirt road) and take it back up to the Realization Point parking lot where you started.

This is a very pretty, and easy hike. Snowed all the way down and was just gorgeous. The summit at the top passed the scramble is where the payoff is for sure. Looking forward to doing this hike again in the spring!

Hiked this today. Icy in several spots, clear dirt in others. Made it without spikes but would have been nice to have.

12/19/2018 - Snowed the entire hike. First 1/2 mile was light snow, after that snowpack and ice. Wore micro spikes the entire time & didn’t have any slipping problems. Towards the top was powder, but it had been snowing all day

Good workout. Icy conditions going down. Parked at Chautauqua, hike ended up being 5.6 miles recorded.

Great loop close to South Boulder! If your dog has a voice and sight tag they can be off leash too! Loved it!

A great hike, the weather is perfect now, just a little bit of icy patches at top. An excellent way to spend a couple of hours outdoors, Not too strenuous

We hiked with a five and ten year old with light snow on the ground and it was awesome.

Climbed 11/18/18 - Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish! Quick and easy. West side of Green mountain definitely holds more snow than the east side so the whole route is snow covered and beautiful. That said, it's so popular that it stays boot packed. The last few hundred feet to the summit get steeper so I'd recommend microspikes for extra traction this time of year. Enjoy!

Climbed Friday 11/30/18 - Incredible views for such a quick and easy hike! I regularly climb high peaks but this time of year I enjoy the smaller mountains when the weather is cold and brutal up high. Just a dusting of snow low on the mountain but increases to several inches higher up. I'd recommend microspikes for extra traction. There's a very short scramble on the summit block where you have to make a few class 3 moves on snow covered rock so you'll appreciate the extra traction.

Did this one in September great fall colors
Trail wasn’t the most inspiring

Awesome and easy hike! If snowy definitely come prepared because my friend busted his ass 6 times

Windy but lovely! Hard packed snow and ice in spots but manageable in boots. Micro spikes are a nice-to-have but not a need-to-have. Started around 8:30am and didn’t see another person on the trail until half way back down (only 7 people total). Too cloudy for views but still a nice workout.

Snowy but doable with boots! Great views at the top and not too long

Beautiful hike! There are still some patches of snow/ice/water, but not a problem with hiking boots. Ran into just a handful of hikers and runners.

Trail was closed today. Hiked this before with my dog and she loved being off leash with the cows. Special dog tag for voice control needed for off leash capability.

Moderate hike, great views, a likelihood of seeing wildlife. Free!

I hiked to Lily Mountain on 11/3 and walked through a winter wonderland! There was only one group ahead of me on the trail and I am grateful for their footprints! In the snow this was certainly a bit more work but still a beautiful trail! I would certainly recommend having micro spikes, especially once you get closer to the top. The scramble at the top was worth the whole hike. I would recommend leaving your backpack or whatever towards the bottom of the scramble so you aren't off-balance as you climb up. There are a few spots i lost the trail, but found my way back to it. Having the map on the app was helpful!

Visiting Boulder from New Jersey, and a few hours after landing my friends and I did this trail. Absolutely stunning scenery. Easy enough considering we are not used to the altitude. We decided to go farther and do the Chapman Dr trail which loops back into the same parking lot that we started for tenderfoot! Nice little hike with beautiful views, I would love to do it again!

Plan to park on the street. Hikers quickly move away from the residential area and into more natural surroundings. Maintained trail scattered with rocks, for a more rustic feel. Morning sunshine shows off the mountains the best! We saw a few people, but mostly had the trail to ourselves. Gorgeous views. Loved listening to the wind course through the Lodgepole Pines!
