Beautiful walk even in the rain. Lots of varying weather!

Great walk. Fern and Spring provide an amazing lookout and newly resurfaced track. Highly recommended!!

Consider not taking the South Wellington/Ice House Track, beautiful in itself, possibly not with low viz and inappropriate footwear.

This is one of the first walks you should complete during your stay in Sydney. Walks around the Northernmost headland of Sydney Harbour, giving you views of wealthy neighbourhoods like Mosman & Watsons Bay. Plenty of spots for swim or a snorkel in Sydney Harbour. I would recommend starting at The Spit and walking to Manly, as better transport and more pubs for a beer.

Difficulty : Easy - Moderate, majority is paved pathways, with a couple of steep rock staircases, though nothing that lasts long, that along with the the duration makes it a moderate hike but is frequently enjoyed by people of all ages and sizes.

Really great scenic walk. You want to take pics on every bend

perfect to enjoy with your friends

my legs are so sore!

This is one of our favourite walks. The reason is because we walk from Cowan to the service road and back to Cowan and don’t have to worry about catching the train

One of the longer loop walks in Sydney with beautiful forest views and sandstone formations. Some steeper parts and 10.5 km long.

Perfect for a level 1hr walk or a work out with Harbour views all the way.

Great walk! The track was easy to follow! Only started the recording once I reached five lake however we walked from Ronny creek around five lake and back it was beautiful even though it was wet, rainy and cold ! Still some snow around too!!

This was a wonderful hike (didn't know of the loop so did it as a out and back) and I have to say, Hobart in general is a great escape after being in a city like Melbourne or Sydney for a while. Hiked with a big group of people most who doesn't typically hike at all. Everyone enjoyed the hike and loved the view. It is definitely cold up there so bring a spare jacket. There is a enclosed viewing area if you get too cold but don't want to head back down yet though :)

Great walk but think from Spit to Manly is the way to go. You can have a beer at the Manly end.

This took us 3 1/2 hours to complete. It was a great track with some steep incline and steep declines, as long as you are fit and healthy it should be fine. There are some beautiful viewing vantage points. The second half of the Trail has some longer flat walks. Don’t forget to stop and take in the views when you see them. If you’re doing the hike on the weekend and finish at Brooklyn make sure you look up the train or bus schedule when we did it the trains were not running on weekends however the buses were coming every 30 minutes to take you back to Cowan . All in all a beautiful hike with good views and variety.

nice walk best done in summer to take advantage of great little beaches

great walk considering you are still in a built up area you can hear distant traffic most of the way thru

The first half is incredible with amazing views and steep challenging ascents, but the second half... although had some nice views, got very boring as it was just an off-road for vehicles. Definitely worth it though!

So nice! We all love it. My kid are enjoying too.

Leave your car at the top of Glenraphel drive and walk down the dirt road (approx 2ks to the Golden Stairs). The dirt road is fine if you have a 4wd, but if you have a car, it's probably better to leave it as the road is not that well maintained.

The walk itself is worth it. The views from the top of the ruined castle (big rock formation) is awesome. apart from the Golden Stairs, the walk is easy. But going down and up the GS is tough going (only 800m, but very steep).

1hr 40m each way.

My favourite walk in Sydney - changing views, bushland and beaches finished off by a burger in Manly. Prefer to do this Spit to Manly rather than the other way round. In summer take your bathers and have a swim at Fairlight ocean pool . Always enjoyable

Amazing view and hike!

Lovely walk some easy parts and some tougher parts. Overall lovely day out.

Walked to the summit with a few of my family members. Was an easier hike than I imagined but nonetheless it was a fantastic experience. Being May, the track was often under snow. It was a beautiful clear day but 0c at the top. The views were sensational. Keen to do it again.

Great track, when you reach the bottom of the waterfall take a good rest as you'll be climbing stairs all the way and past the top!

Beautiful all the way along and some challenging segments to make it a great experience!

Started at Cowan. Nice walk to start with then it gets steep and the uphills begin. Amazing challenge. The last hour of it dragged on for a bit till u get to the downhill part that wakes u up. Easy walk to the station afterwards.
Sings are everywhere so u can’t get lost. Overall i loved this walk. Took us just under 4 hours . We stopped for pics .

lovely trail. lots of public loos too!

Fantastic landscape!!! I would do it again

Fantastic walk with amazing views. We got the scenic railway into the valley and walked to the ruins. A bit of a scramble across the landslide section of bout 500m but other than that it’s a pretty easy walk. We had our 13 year old plus I have average fitness at the moment but did it comfortably. It’s about 2hrs each way. Got the sky rail back up the hill. Also a small hill climb of approx 600m to the ruins but take ur time and it’s pretty easy. Beautiful country. Take some water, snacks & a coffee in a flask and u’ll love it. Be careful not to miss the track off the boardwalk at scenic world. After you get off the train and just past a few displays the trail is off to the right.
