Loved this trail, great views and a couple nice waterfalls at the end of the trail! Plan on going back more often.

my favorite place in Texas <3 great views and easy trails. plenty of places to cool off too.

Neat place to see. Didn’t get to hike too far on the trail due to excessive poison ivy. Will go back in the winter.

Very well maintained and the trail markings are great. A lot of benches here and there. Quite a few steps and Rocky areas but the overlooks totally make up for it. I suggest making a visit to the waterfall. it's pretty cool but not much water.

Good trail running. Plenty of shade.

I had good time running this trail, it's easy to get a little turned around but there's no way to get off the trail. it's a wildlife and nature preserve so it's quite clear where the dont want you to go. The creek is pretty and it really makes you feel like you're away from the city.

Hiked all the trails forwards and backwards. As always, this trail system delivers the "outdoors hiking" goods.

Parking on a Sunday was more of a challenge than the actual hike! It’s next to Barton Springs city pool. Place was jam packed at the pool and their were a lot of people on the trail. The trail leads to mountain climbing areas, small water holes, small observation cliffs. There was a really nice place where a couple found a random lone tree in a pebbled creek and we’re having a picnic. The biggest issues are the bikers on the trail. I passed about 11 of them and only one warned me that they were behind me. The rest were zipping by liked they owned the place. No heads up, no head count if they were in a pack, and going too fast on lose gravel.

I have done this quite a few times now. Lots of joggers, cyclists, pets, kids every time. Rest rooms were clean every time and the lake side provides ample fun for all.

So I started at Brushy Creek Sports Complex, and instead going west on the trail itself, on the south side of the creek, I went west on the north side of the creek. There's not really a trail there, it's just fun to walk through the more "wild" parts. Eventually you gotta cross or wade down the creek. I hit some cool rocky spots, and one spot with lot of huge tree limbs that was fun to climb over. Eventually I met up with "picnic".

Very nice trail nice and clean restrooms . Great fun for the whole family!!!

Nice paved trail, but a bit busy for me.

Fantastic trail. Great for a long backpacking training hike.

Great hike trail went on Mother’s Day

Love to hike on weekends and on climb some bluffs here. It has some pretty nice views and fun sights! Bring bug spray, camera, and sun screen. There are also lots of animals out there!

Great trail for running, walking or biking. We were looking for road biking. There are paved parts of this trail & gravel sections...one gravel section that needed to be walked with a road bike. Overall, it was a beautiful ride with nice shaded bits.

We did this trail on the same weekend as their yearly trail races which made the trails definitely more trafficked than normal. Great train. Tough rolling hills that will keep you moving. Signage at trail splits weren't totally clear and we got off trail quite a ways without knowing it. There is VERY little shade so be prepared for direct sun for most of the hike. Beautiful trail overall that was a good challenge for myself and my dog. Be sure to bring plenty of water!

This is a very nice trail, even had water for some parched walkers.

fun trail for the family, well marked and cool sights

Very nice hiking trails. Moderate level.

Mild hike, rocky at parts, had to cross in the creek twice. Hill of life was a great end to the trail! Mostly shaded woods, so bring bug spray. Still Texas, so bring sunscreen too!

Fun trail! I’d do it again

Nice trail.

But since it was a holiday weekend, it was pretty busy.

Two things:

What’s the point of picking up after your dog with a baggie if you’re just going to leave it on the trail?

If you’re looking for solitude, be ready for people sitting on the rocks by the falls with music playing from a speaker.

Other than that, great trail and a fun day.

Fun place to run. Some flat, easy stuff, some technical stuff. It's not big but you can run around in loops, picking trails at random, and easily get in 4+ miles.

Great running trail.

Very clean and maintained trials. Come early! The parking lot is small and will fill up fast. And...when the sun comes up you are going to feel it. There is not a lot of shade on most parts of these trails.

Great hiking. Some parts challenging to a beginner like me. But a fantastic work out. The wildlife is abundant.
