Great trail, not very technical for hiking but dog and family friendly. Lots of side trails to explore and wander. Watch for mountain bikers coming around corners but everyone courteous.

Nice trail. Beautiful views. Didn’t have the opportunity to see any water because it was dry the day we hiked it. A lot of stairs!

Really fun trail and hike. Lots of log stairs and a really good workout!

Very nice hiking trails. Moderate level.

I went on a Tuesday morning and it was mildly crowded, but still lovely. There are many areas where the trail splits with no trail markers, however these all lead back to the same trail for the most part. The falls are small, though beautiful, and make a great little swimming hole.

Mild hike, rocky at parts, had to cross in the creek twice. Hill of life was a great end to the trail! Mostly shaded woods, so bring bug spray. Still Texas, so bring sunscreen too!

This is an easy trail with some very pretty water features and creek access. There are great offshoots that make it a little more exciting!

It was a great trail. Not too crowded. I work out a few days a week and this was pretty easy. I would rate it Moderate, not hard. It is a bit rocky is some areas of the trail.

Love this trail!

Lots of great options- I just let my dog lead the way and took several side trails. Lots of flat trails that are easy and lots of opportunity to get to the creek.

Easy route, beautiful view of creek the whole time, and water is low enough to step across

My favorite. Can’t wait to get back.

It was easy and relaxing.

Really solid trail. Well kept, and gorgeous. I’m a huge fan. Originally I was scoffing at the “hard” rating, but it’s an absurd amount of stairs - so be aware of that. I’d recommend starting 8820 Big View Dr, so you do the majority of uphill at the beginning.

Fun mountain biking trail.

Great hike. Pretty busy on Saturday mornings, but very nice, well-kept trail.

Great little hiding spot amongst the city. We drove by all the time and on the weekends it’s packed. We went during the week and there was a good amount of people still. There’s plenty of room to be in the water without others bothering you. We brought our dog and she loved it. The trail can be a little rough in some spot with slick rocks.

This trail is not for someone who is out of shape. I go to the gym 4-5 days a week and hike on the weekends and I had to push myself. I’m still feeling it in my calves two days later. My dogs loved it and I want to keep doing it until it’s easier because I enjoy the challenge. Take plenty of water. I emptied my 2 liter Camelback.

Nice trail.

But since it was a holiday weekend, it was pretty busy.

Two things:

What’s the point of picking up after your dog with a baggie if you’re just going to leave it on the trail?

If you’re looking for solitude, be ready for people sitting on the rocks by the falls with music playing from a speaker.

Other than that, great trail and a fun day.

Lots of climbing, and a creek along most of the path. Several benches and shade for breaks- lots of climbing and stairs but a great hike. Pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon but everyone was friendly and still lots of chances to feel alone.

Fun place to run. Some flat, easy stuff, some technical stuff. It's not big but you can run around in loops, picking trails at random, and easily get in 4+ miles.

Loved this trail! It was challenging and offered running opportunities.

Great running trail.

I absolutely love this park. We come here once a week with the puppies. Great off leash trails leading to water and everyone is respectable to each other. there's a healthy mix of cyclists, dog walkers and hikers. it can either be as easy or challenging depending on which area you hike to. we have yet to get bored here...always some place new to explore.

Always fun

In Austin, I think this is the best trail for a decent workout! It is very well maintained as well!

This my favorite trail so far

walking

I went in not knowing what to expect. I simply wanted to enjoy a walk outdoors that was not on cement. This delivered. There are elevation changes as you walk down to a creek and back up again (oh and across the creek at a few points). I did reference the trail map on my phone so that made it much easier. I could see how simply following the signs would make for slight confusion. The waterfall was a little sparse but still pretty. I would definitely go again.
