Great view!

Got started before the first shuttle got there since we are staying at the lodge. Left the cabin at around 6:45 and we’re one of the first few people to the top. Recommend going in the morning as the way down had a lot of congestion.

Killer view at the top...

Great hike, a little harder then we were thinking. Brought two labs along, they got muddy but the Arch gave a nice view and a great place to sit and eat a little snack. The hike it self was out and back, the way there being mostly up hill. I thought it was "moderate" but definitely some slippery rocks this time of year. Wish i had worn my hiking boots, no my old tennis shoes.

Awesome hike, amazing views. Definitely worth it.

Fantastic view on top. Except the last mile, the rest is moderate.

Was a beautiful and moderate to hard hike. Definitely a little more challenging but not that bad if you’re a usual hiker. Went with 2 people that don’t usually hike from Texas and they had a little bit of a hard time but did it with breaks in between. There’s absolutely no snow at the top, so don’t believe that. Micro spikes would be completely pointless. Beautiful view at the top, but really doesn’t open up until you’re at the top. Worth it.

What a gorgeous hike! We encountered multiple waterfalls on our way up along with old growth trees and beautiful vegetation. The lake at the end is truly spectacular and well worth the climb. Loved hiking here today! Lots of people so be prepared to share the trail. More dogs than I have seen anywhere else so make sure your dog is friendly!
If you go hiking within the next few weeks make sure to wear waterproof shoes with crampons. It will make the hike that much better. The snow is melting, but most hikers noted the increased snowpack this year.
Have fun!

It was a little bit snowy at the top but that is totally to be expected at this time of year! Gorgeous hike and beautiful mountainside when you reach your destination. There is quite a bit of water so make sure to wear water resistant or water proof shoes if you don’t want to get wet! Super easy for dogs to navigate, not too hard on their paws although there is a section that’s mostly shale. Only downfall is it is popular so a lot of stopping and waiting for people. Highly recommend getting there early in the morning if you want to avoid the crowds.

Harder than expected, especially the steep scramble but downhill as well. We are not big hikers in general and typically stick to scenic walking trails so this was a bit more difficult for our skill level however it’s doable. Kids and dogs were doing it. Would come back for sure!

This is a hard trail because of the steep switch-backs. Pace yourself up this trail. Think of it in four parts. The first is the steep switch-backs up the outside of the mountain. But once you make it up that you get a break by hiking in the shade and more reasonable path back inside. But be prepared to hit the third part of the trail that takes you up shorter, but steeper switch-backs a good bit up. At the end you find the part that’s flat where you can rest and go to the bathroom. From here you can go back down or take the final leg up where you have to hold on to chains and make your way to the top on a small ledge with pausing for hikers moving back and forth up the trail.

Mt Si was a brutal beast yesterday 4/21. So much beauty at the top. My health tracker documented 10 miles. No snow on the ground. Great training hike for Mt St Helens. Will be back!

Was there yesterday, beautiful hike! No need for spikes, very light snow cover at the top but very manageable in sneakers or boots. Perfect day hike to celebrate earth day!

Incredibly beautiful views! Tons of people were hiking this trail, some folks were on bikes, some on horseback. As you get closer to the actual bridge, you will be hiking with a lot of other people. There was a huge line and a thirty minute wait just to walk over the bridge. Also dog owners beware. I saw a lot of dogs suffering from heat exhaustion. I would not bring my dogs on this trail. And if you must, bring lotssss of water for them to drink, and to wet them down.

I HIGHLY Recommend this trail.

Started trail this morning around 6:30. Trail is very fun right now with the right equipment. Muddy/water flow on trail, 1.5 or so, ice and snow. Not pot holing early morning until you get to lake. With sun up at top of trail minor pot holing. Equipment suggestions: microspikes (its very icy right at least half way up), trekking poles and gloves. I ran in baseball cap, tank top and tights. Hands even with wool gloves got very cold (started to hurt), until getting to top. Super fun and technical at present.

Hiked on Thursday. First of all BEAUTIFUL trail and everyone is so nice and there were so many dogs ON LEASHES TOO! It’s a toughy for me at least and my back started giving my trouble at 3.5miles but I knew I had to keep going. Brought my spikes but didn’t use them for the last bit, just took it nice and slow. I’ll be back

It’s scary. Be smart wear good shoes. Great views both directions

Great hike, a lot of rock scrambling! We took the breakneck trail and took a longer loop into the wilkinson trail. 4.5 hours total with 5-7 stops.

The hike is open as of today (4.21.2018) but might be closing for renovation soon.

One of my favorite hikes of all time. Always such a good time. Have gone multiple times and always look forward to going again!

Absolutely breathtaking. Cannot stress enough how dangerous and difficult it is, though. If you are unsure, stop at Chicken Rock. From there, the steep drop offs begin.

Sooooo much fun. still needed micro-spikes for the last mile in the snow and ice. Simply gorgeous. The old growth Douglas fir trees are beautiful neat the mid-way point.

amazing hike. we loved the views and the challenge. highly recommended.

Gorgeous hike. Can be heavy traffic on the weekend but still not bad. The view is worth the hike.

Beautiful day on the trail. Even though this is ranked moderate it’s a tough one. The views from the arch are incredible.

Only thing we would do differently is go in via Chuckwagon trail instead of the road. Much of the road is dusty and traveled by jeeps and 4 wheelers. The bridge is definitely worth hiking to even though the last quarter of a mile is fairly steep and requires a little scrambling.

It was beautiful, a pretty easy walk/hike. Don't bring your dog unless you know they can handle it. There were a lot of people carrying small dogs.

I did this hike a year ago and it was a good one. Beautiful, challenging and well kept. There seems to be snow into spring so dress accordingly, I had to learn the hard way with this hike but it was well worth it! Make sure you are in good shape to finish this hike so you can finish it in a timely manner!
