Nice hike. It was the only blue sky day of the week. We got to the parking area about 10:00 am and did find a parking spot. There is a bath room at the trail head. It was fairly busy to the falls. Easy to moderate. The falls is beautiful and it’s cool that the Trillium trail passes behind it. We had a snack there and continued up the trail another mile or so towards LeConte. Here, we were wonderfully alone. This trail is much less traveled. Only saw a group of 6 people coming down from the Lodge. The snow line started around 4000 ft. I found some neat ice needles forming in the mud at the base of some of the fallen tree roots. We turned around at a river crossing around 4500 ft. There are several turn of the century log homesteads on the motor trail that are interesting history to spend time at on your return to Gatlinburg.

Gorgeous fall! Powerful and no hike required! We did venture down the rocks to get a few more photos - it is super slippery!

Absolutely loved this beautiful trail! High Falls is a BEAST and easily one of the most impressive waterfalls we've ever seen! The trails were nice and wide, some pretty steep incline between Hooker Falls and Triple Falls, and while there were no trail blazes noted, it was easy to find and stay on trail due to signage. Highly recommend this hike- it was beautiful! Full trail review + more pics coming soon to our hiking blog at www.Wander-Full-Life.com

What a wonderful trail A+++++

Beautiful hike, 10 mile round trip from Rainbow falls parking lot.

Beautiful !!!

Pretty walk in the fall season. Walk is on a well maintained dirt/rock road. Look for the trail sign that will lead to the falls. We missed it and kept walking on the road. We heard the falls and realized we were not on the right path. Path to falls is a single wide trail.

Beautiful hike this time of year! The GOLDEN canopy of fall foliage was.breathtaking.
The Gift at the end of the climb is walking behind the Falls. I captured some mesmerizing photos on the way back down at sunset looking over the mountains.
Great hike for ALL.

Easy hike, but really touristy. Perfect for kids and new hikers though! The falls are beautiful and you can go under them. I recommend continuing to Brushy Mtn (2mi further).

We were there 2 days after rainstorms and the falls were gorgeous. The trails in pretty good shape, and i would say good for "all ages" except for some steep hills and stairs. Close to the river can be SLIPPERY and dangerous, but the trail stays a bit away.

simple hike of the highway

Yes, better views than Clingman's Dome!

Really fun trail with lots of creek crossings!

Very accessible and scenic, therfore a bit busy. The first half went by the waterfalls and the covered bridge. It was nice to complete the loop, because even though the second half was less scenic it was a nice quiet stroll through the woods without the crowds.

This trail was nice! There were a lot of rocks which made it more difficult but it wasn’t the worst rocky hike I’ve ever done. When we went it was extremely foggy and couldn’t see a whole lot.... however we did hike the additional 3.6 miles to Douglas Falls and it was beautiful!

Great waterfall

This waterfall was cool but the other two further down are way better!

This was a great waterfall but definitely not easy.

Absolutely beautiful hike and waterfall. There are steps to take you down closer to Triplefalls and it’s totally worth the climb back up. There is also a nice shelter with picnic tables and bathrooms overlooking the falls so pack a picnic! Went on a Saturday in October so it was busy, but the path is plenty wide for all to enjoy. We had to park on the street because the parking lot was so full. Watch out for the dip when you first enter to the right, lots of cars nearly bottomed out.

Not a hike but it is a pretty waterfall!

Definitely do on a weekday, no super crowded. Trekking poles are a good idea, slippery when wet. Waterfall was worth the trip. Parking limited

Beautiful hike that took about 3 hours total there and back with two young kids. The falls were pretty full bc of the recent rain but we were still able to walk behind the falls. The kiddos enjoyed hopping from rock to rock and jumping over roots.

This was definitely a moderate hike with some pretty steep inclines and rocks at parts of it. The view is absolutely worth it!! The leaves look beautiful from the top and there’s an opportunity to get some really good panoramic pictures!

This hike from Hooker Falls coming up to Triple Falls is not easy for someone not good at uphill but it not extremely hard uphill, if need just go slow, it is worth it. If too much hill is an issue Park up at Vistor center lot, not Hooker Falls lot, right down High Fall loop goes to the falls side, continuing on loop bring you back to vistor center lot. To see Hooker drive down to Hooker parking for easy hike to Hooker. This info for someone with issue with up hills. This way you can see High Falls first then walk less from High loop to see Triple.

This hike is easy. To see the falls from the bottom, go just a little way down past the over look view. Come back out and over the bridge up to Triple Falls is very much uphill but worth it. precede on up to the High Falls Loop, 2 miles. the loop is easy after passing Triple Falls. Go past the visitor center sign in the middle of the loop, turn left on the road to the covered bridge . Trail back to the remaining part of High Falls loop, then back to Hookers Falls parking. All a little over 4 miles. yes some uphill but it is worth it.

This was a beautiful hike, we had our 2.5 yr old and 1 yr old and they loved it. The falls were amazing, the trail was a bit crowded and parking was the biggest challenge. At the top by the falls it was quite slippery which made wearing the kids a bit more difficult but worth it!
