lots of hidden gems through the whole drive so take your time and keep yours eyes open. winter time added more views due to lack of foliage and added an unexpected treat because of the ice and iclcles.

Beautiful drive, water still flowing heavily in the middle of December. Several creek crossings-4WD and high clearance preferable.

WalkingGreat!

Fabulous area in Arkansas!! East to get to from Little Rock. A great place to go for a day trip. You don't even have to get out of your car to view some of the views. Take your lunch, pull off to the side of the road and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Great drive to do some waterfall hopping. Falling Waters is right off the road. The makeshift ladder to climb up and down by the fall is fun.

Beautiful! Road appears to be recently grated. However After Campground it’s really rough and couple of places before the butte where landslides have forced the road to one lane in spots. NO CELL SERVICE (even Verizon)

This place is like something out of a story book. it's amazing. Dirt road is kind of rough but our sedan made it. there was some trash left there but my kids cleaned it up while they played. short walk from parking. breathtaking beauty!

Beautiful drive! The two falls right off the road were so pretty and worth stopping for. No signal so be prepared for that. We will be back to hike and explore more for sure!

Gravel road with tons of waterfalls close by. I visited three and drove to Richland campground to get a few others, but couldn't find them. I would definitely recommend downloading the maps via All Trails (have to have Pro) to any hikes you might want to do out here. Zero cell service.

I left Hot Springs at 130 a.m. I got to Russelville at 3 a.m. I've been on this drive 100 times. I already know it's nice. I dont need to see it.

This is my favorite drive. The many waterfalls on this drive are all so breath taking! Falling falls is great cause you can just walk to it from the road. As well as six fingers. However my favorite fall is Terry Keef about a quarter mile past 6 fingers there's a trail head on the left roughly a mile back. The waterfall back there is gorgeous, and TALL. Flows straight off the top of a rock wall.

A better route from central Arkansas was I:40 to Hwy 7 North. At Pelsor take Hwy 16 past Pedestal rocks and continue to Falling Waters road. This saved over 45 minutes. Try to time your trip after a significant rain.

Right off the gravel road. Really enjoyed the falls. Assuming it would be a nice place to swim in the summer.

Horseback riding

Rocky sections, a little bit of road riding on Falling Water Road and Upper Falling Water Road. Only water crossing is on the way out of camp

what an outstanding drive and if you like chasing waterfalls right on this road i would guess with in a miles are 2 fantastic waterfalls. falling waters waterfall & six finger falls. you don't even have to get out of your car to see them. but you will want too. to get there you'll have to drive about 4 to 6 miles on a dirt road but they are more than worth it. i stop on a beautiful january morning and i couldn't believe how pretty they are. even the trees and rock formation in and around the creek are something to see. bring a good camera with you. you won't want to pass up theses 2 gems. i must of spent at least an hour at each falling. i will be posting 3 picture of a roadside view of the creek thats in between both falling. Even on my way home from the campgrounds I had to stop for another half hour to enjoy these two gorgeous waterfalls one last time.

You don’t have to get out of your vehicle to see the fall but I recommend getting down to lower creek level for pics. View from road doesn’t do it justice.

Hiking

If hiking at Pedestal Rocks/Kings Bluff in warm weather this is the way to go to cool down. There are several great swimming holes up Falling Water and Richland Creek valleys. We go up Richland past the 'Nars and out Woolum. This way is not a drive for an AWD at the end. Need a 4wd that can ford 2-3 ft of water if coming out Woolum (use your head, don't cross if water up and fast). Can take a Prius down falling water road to the Richland Creek campground though.

This is a killer swimming hole!! Beautiful spot, we hiked in from the road not on the trail. This is a must see spot. Falling Waters Road is just gorgeous all the way down to Richland Creek Wilderness area.
