Up the East Trail, down the West, Base Trail back to starting point. Nice way to spend a few hours. The Base Trail is nice...nice open views with plenty of Dear and Birds. Only other people on trail had dogs, with a few off leash. It’s a clearly marked easy trail for someone who has no problem with the summit trails.

Nice and quick trail down from the summit via the East Trail.

Super nice hike from bathhouse row up to sunset trail and back. Very peaceful once you are on the opposite ridge...no more city noise. Some fantastic grades...nice and long too! Could get in some nice running on some sections. Lunched perched on Balance Rock...clear and bright sky, perfect temp, nice wind.....very cathartic. It’s a great way to spend a relaxing day on the trail and be back to the hotel for dinner!

Great trail, is moderate only if you are in good shape. it should be noted that there is a rock field at the summit that isn't for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights. The pay off is lovely with a 360 degree view of West Little Rock, Lake Maumelle, the Arkansas River and the Eastern end of the Ouachita Mountain range. Highly suggest if you are a not a pedestrian hiker, there are other great trails in the park with good views that aren't quite as hard if you have any type of disability or fear of heights.

Short nice hike. Lots to see and look at so take your time. I really enjoyed it would love to see it in the springtime.

Lots of cool sites along this trail. Grotto is a must, really nice area.

Beautiful hike! Fantastic lookout points, fallen trees, bluffs, and rock formations which provide a true AR backdrop for a photo shoot. The old homestead is another attraction. Very nice visitor's welcome center.

One of my favorite trails in Arkansas. We started at Cripple Turkey on December 1st and ended at Allison on December 2. A lot of waterfalls and bluff outcroppings. I would definitely do this one again. The scenery was amazing.

Great hike for December 2 weather! Beautiful scenery and camping at the Top of mountain. They have 3 cabins and a lodge. Ice cream at the Top!

Fun hike, can get behind the waterfall if careful

Really nice trail. The half mile round trip spur to the grotto is worth it. Signage is good enough to follow. Lots to look at on the trail, although the rocks can be a little treacherous when they get wet. Probably great colors in fall. Parking is limited, but wasn't an issue on a Saturday morning in December.

Great trail, the stones were like a maze in and out here and there. It was fun.

You can drive up red bluff road and go park right above the cave if you aren’t up to hiking all the way around. You will be about 10 minutes from the cave. It is a beautiful sight to see and walk around

Took the .5 mile trail from Mathers Lodge to Bear Cave Trail. Easy to navigate. Interesting rock formations
that you can scurry up on if your relatively nimble. Good easy trail for kids and adults alike.

Excellent family hike with kids. If it's hot, there's a great swimming hole.

So sad the caves are closed. They are a treasured childhood memory. It was still super fun to take my 8 year old and let him stand at cave mouth and feel the cool air. Lots of scrambling for the littles, and the trail is up and down throughout. A nice trek through the woods. Little legs will need frequent breaks. Bring your binoculars tons of wildlife :)

Absolutely gorgeous! The fall leaves just added to the beauty, but also made the trail a little slick! Fun adventure during training.

The West summit isn't as hard as the East Summit, but it is still just as much fun.

It is a decent loop. We walked it fast because we were excited to do the summit trails.

We did this hike in the August heat. It was crowded, but still a great hike! The waterfall was well worth it!

Been here several times. Love it every time

The trail is nice and well marked. It's easy to access from northwest arkansas. We hiked it clockwise and camped at the primitive camping sites arpund 9.5 miles. i think there were 6 primitive campsites and everyone of them was occupied. It was not awful but i think its worth knowing you wont be the only one on the trail.

Nice easy loop trail.

Hiked this today with my wife and our 5-year-old granddaughter. Pretty tough 5 mile hike (4.5 if you don't take the Grotto spur, but you gotta take that spur!) for a little one. She was fine the first half, but then got pretty cranky. I ended up carrying her about a mile and that made it far more difficult for me. We took lunch and found a nice spot to eat just off the trail. Saw several such places. No really steep climbs, just a lot of up and down over not-so-easy footing. Still really enjoyable. The natural bridge was beautiful, and the waterfall at the Grotto was too. We'll definitely be back.

Great late fall hike. moderately difficult but not bad. veiws were outstanding.
