Great hike if you like to scramble. Lots of cool boulders and places to climb.

Super awesome. Gorgeous. Exciting. Dream like.

I come here often one of my favorite trails in Arkansas. The top of the trail on the dirt road is pretty and easily walked with a few good over looks. The trail down to the waterfall is rather hard but worth it!

January is a great time to go. We passed only four hikers.

Great views, great hike! Not a ideal hike if you’re afraid of heights like me!

hard to find the trail but it was really fun and there's a lot of cool caves.

Beautiful hike. Will do this one again. Only a couple steep areas and a few water crossings after rains.

Coming from two 23 year old, able bodied but slightly out of shape dudes, each carrying 40lb packs, this loop is definitely hard. If you do the full loop I recommend starting at the lake and going up the west side. It’s much prettier in terms of water features and is shorter in distance, still very steep. The east side (going down after camping on the mountain) is still very pretty but you barely see the river that is on that side. Lots of up and down expanses high up on the east side. It took us almost 5 hours to get up the mountain from the west side (stopping every 20-30 min with one break longer 15 min break for lunch, abt 12-15 stops). It took us only less than 4 hours the next morning to go down the longer east side (about 10 stops). If u want to just go for a day I would take two cars and park one at the lake and then start at the top of the mountain and go down the west side. 8/10 for views and overall experience, 2/10 for easiness. Wouldn’t go back unless for the day hike I mentioned.

So much nature...scenic views, difficult trek but so worth it! It was a bit muddy today but the dogs enjoyed this more than the creek!

A great trail! If you start on white rock mountain, the hike back to your car Is pretty tough. Overall, the views and scenery were great. We went early January and got great weather. Tons of water flowing throughout the mountain and multiple waterfalls. Highly recommend.

I had done this hike in July and it was not a good experience. Each of us got about 20 ticks, hardly any water sources, and overgrown. Wouldn’t recommend then, but highly recommend late fall and even in the winter if you don’t mind camping in the cold.

This trail was the high light of our weekend, the hawksbill crag at the end was well worth the walk and the views are simple breathtaking, BUT there are some minor set backs, there was probably 40 - 60 cars in the parking lot which meant the trail was gonna be busy, so kinda crowded for when we went, also the county road into the trailhead is nearly 6 miles of very steep gravel road, please don't have any trouble with your brakes on your vehicle because it could lead to an interesting ride down on the way out, all and all great trail and worth the drive

we had a ton of fun. loved the natural photo backdrops

Some times hard to see where the trail was but this was a great trip. Lots of climbing and adventure.

Easy, beautiful, calming.

Beautiful place great views I wish they had a trail to lead to the other waterfall you see in the other side but other then that an amazing place

Not bad if you're in the area. If the water fall is running this trail goes up a star for sure. Short easy hike for just about anyone. I've done it several times and it can get muddy.

Probably the best short dayhike in the Ozarks. Pretty easy with a rewarding view at the end. The road going up is no joke though. Surprised how rough the road is for how popular the crag is.

Nice trail, easy to follow. Being it is a Monday there were only a few others on the trail. It's an easy trail with some elevation gain but nothing steep. My watch said 4 miles in 1 hr 21 minutes. Was lucky enough to see deer so that made me feel a little more out in nature. This trail is in town so if you are looking for complete peace from noise this may not be for you. Though very peaceful there were parts where you can hear people as there are homes close and you do hear some traffic at the front part of the trail as you are not that far off of 49. But still if you are looking for a hike that isn't a long drive you have one right here. If you are taking small children keep an eye on them as there are a couple spots where if they get off trail there could be quite the fall.

Pretty EZ hike with amazing Ozark views. There’s a long dirt road to get to this hike, but it’s nothing too hard to get up. That’s part of the fun. The hike starts out downhill first, so that the hardest part on the return. The trail was a little tricky to follow because you come to 1 or 2 crossroads.

Great trail with great views! Have to watch for the markings to get to the second waterfall, but overall an easy trail!

Excellent view! The drive up to the cliff may take around 20-25 because the gravel road.

Wonderful hiking place. On the way to Whitaker point, there are lot of view spots.

The attached map does not show you the bushwacking route to get to the different waterfalls. The waterfalls are nice. im sure there is any easier way to get to all the landmark sites. I would allow yourself plenty of time to find your way to all the waterfalls and to finish the loop. It's a rugged good time if you dont know your way around.

Great hike for December 2 weather! Beautiful scenery and camping at the Top of mountain. They have 3 cabins and a lodge. Ice cream at the Top!

My absolute favorite. The view was amazing. The road was rough wish we had a 4 wheel drive would hate to even think of trying it after a rain. Once you reach the parking area you will be glad you came

I’m going to echo what Destiny said about the drive up to the trailhead. I did not expect the drive there and back to be so difficult on my car. It is narrow, there are no lights and the incline is high. After that drive, I’m now thinking about buying a Toyota 4Runner. I rated it a 3 because of the drive. Unfortunately although the views are amazing, I don’t think I’ll come back because of the drive. Past that, it is a very easy hike. We hiked Hemmed-in-Hollow right before Whitaker Point. It was nice. It took us 1.5 hours RT. We stopped to take pictures, of course. It is a very easy trail to follow. No complaints. Amazing views.

easy hike down a ravine to a 77 foot waterfall. There is an observation deck , and and a lower deck. Be sure and go after a good rain! It’s a multiple time a year trip for us due to its proximity to home. Only about 20 minutes ... we always combine with another trail and some time at the playground ! Watch out for snakes, and bring your binoculars ! Kid friendly!

My 1st hike and it was AMAZING!!!! A must see and you will return.

One of my favorite hikes within a 4 hour radius. It’s amazing. Easy for kids, easy for adults, the switchbacks heading back out of the ravine towards the parking lot can be rough on the littles and the out of shape but there are just a couple so it’s not a big deal. I would definitely not want to be out there after dark, so watch your clock during the winter months and leave enough time to get back to car. Several creek crossings, a waterfall, lots of opportunity for kids to scramble, and incredibly views once you hit the bluff line. The edge is sheer once you pass the waterfall so I don’t know if I would bring kids unless they can mind very well. My 8 year old did ok but he’s used to it. An incredible view of the ozarks. It will be a yearly trip now. One thing to note. The drive up was horrendous in my civic. Next time I will be borrowing a 4x4. Incredibly steep county road. Made the 11% graded highway look flat. Happy trails !

Got to trailhead right at sunrise. Five cars all ready there. First mile just a walk in the woods. Next half mile had cliffs to look off, quite a few rocks to get unique photos. The crag was cool..got some great pics..although at sunrise there is quite a glare. Nice area , but we had driven 1.5 hours to get there...wouldn't do that again...just not enough character. 2 hour hike...3 hour drive all together..
