Great little trail with awesome views!

Recently had surgery so this was a perfect hike for me. Can either go straight down to Falls or take a switch back trail. It’s not a maintained trail, Just made by use.

Very easy trail. Not marked very well. The best thing is the views. Just beautiful.

The owner appears to have no intentions of allowing people on her land anymore. Too bad. I just wish they could be upfront and not tell this tall tale about the mythical black bears to string people along season after season.

Awesome trail and beautiful falls. Be prepared to get wet or hop across rocks to cross the creek. The trail itself was not super difficult, but hopping rocks was fairly complicated and time consuming. We crossed 5 going out there. Also check out the directions for accessing the trail on AllTrails. It starts at a metal gate that looks like private property. I would have missed the 2nd falls if I had not followed the trail map too.

Great hike! I went last year after a week of heavy rain. I went with my Grandpa who has had both knees replaced, we were also with a family friend who had been to the eye before. It was in the 50° with the creek moving so fast in some places that we had to go off the trail. We had no problem finding the trail until we tried to come back a different way. there is a trail that is very steep and can take you up to the top of the eye without going through it, and it keeps going up to the Buffalo River Trail. The BRT was overgrown and we could not find the trail. We made it back to the parking lot at dusk, we saw a black bear with her two cubs, they stayed in the woods and we walked slowly away. None of us had any problems wading the water, I'm 5'4 and the water was up to my mid thigh, the ropes and the cliffs didn't bother us. We knew what we were getting into, but we also knew that we had done all of it before. All of us had been caving before, in some farly difficult caves, that had more challenges than Indian Creek. Would deffently recommend going after a heavy rain to catch water flowing through the eye, but be careful the rocks will be slicker, the water higher, and faster. If you make a wrong step it is possible to end up in the Buffalo River. This is only if the creek is flooded. If there hasn't been a heavy rain. then there probably won't be any water coming out of the eye, but it is still a wonderful hike.

So much fun! There when the waterfalls were flowing a lot!

You can see this one from your car! Take a few minutes to get out and explore and play in the water. Be sure to do the .5 mile hike to Pam’s Grotto while you’re here. It’s right off the highway on the opposite side of the road.

This is a breathtaking hike with beautiful overlooks, waterfalls, and lots of wildflowers. If you have the option, take a vehicle with four wheel drive as the drive down to kyles landing is gravel and quite steep. You’ll start the trek at the edge of kyles landing campground to take the BRT trail. You’ll come to a split, but take a left to go on BRT Steele Creek, then you’ll come to another fork in the road for BRT and ORT and you’ll want to take a left for BRT. Finally, you’ll come to the last fork and you’ll want to go on the primitive trail (should also have a white marker on the sign for Indian Creek trail), which you will stay on for the remainder of the hike. Throughout the rest of the trail there will usually be a dirt trail alongside the rock bed creek and at times the creek itself is easier to stay on and follow as the dirt trail can get very steep and narrow. Once you get to the falls, you have the option to climb up with the help of ropes to get up to the eye of the needle. It is an incredible view and worth the climb, but not for the faint of heart. I’d be careful to go during a time with lots of recent rain as even during dry seasons it can be quite muddy and slick. Overall a great hike with incredibly beautiful views all along the way!

This trail is a very scenic and is suitable for all ages. The trail is well kept and is easily navigated. There are anchors along the rock face with plenty of routes for rock climbing. Be sure to climb to the peak of Sam's Throne where the view is outstanding.

Great trail! Tough but worth it.

Doesn’t exist

Hard. Did it with a 25lb pack, don’t do that.

Beautiful views along this quiet trail in mid-March. The marked trail includes a descent down a fairly steep pass, however there is a slightly longer, hike around the bluff that meets with a wide path that takes you down into the valley leading to Sams Throne.

Another amazing AR hike! The views here were outstanding, especially since we went at the peak of fall. We had a couple people show us how to hike all along the upper part of the bluff, and found one spot to climb down and check out the underneath portion. IMO the upper part is the best part though! Will definitely come back!

This is a great trail with many small waterfalls and a very beautiful one at the end. UNFORTUNATELY it has been closed for a year and the owner anticipates it being closed until next year. A bear and her cub have taken up residence in the area. This is 2018 and again it may open in 2019.

Easy to find right off the side of the road. Water was flowing really well but I’d imagine it was only due to recent weather.

This was a great well marked trail. When you get near the falls you can hug the wall on left and climb through a slightly dark area to the falls or you can go straight across the rocky area towards the falls and both places will bring you right up to the falls. The fall was amazing and so worth the trip. You can even go under it with lots of room. Its high cliffs above make a dome around it. We saw a bat flying around so be sure and germ x after you leave.

This fall was amazing when you got there. It is reached by going into the Hawes Creek Fall Recreation Area behind site 6 is the trail. Once you reach the creek you will be going back and forth across it the entire way. Hiking poles don't work for you if you leave them in the

Campground road closed to vehicles due to flooding. No problem just waded across the creek and just down the road to the small and charming campground. to the left across the road from the vault toilets was the most beautiful, amazing and fast moving waterfall. Perfect!

One of the best hikes I've been on in a while! There are a couple care packages we left out there! If you find them let me know!

Took just a short trip down the road to the first falls. Saw a couple young guys jumping off into the water. Pretty chilly since it was March 3rd. Very nice drive. Will be better in a couple weeks when the dogwoods start to blossom.
