We were there Jan 14 it was beautiful out and was fairly easy except the last part of trail when you have to actually climb up! My husband had to stop for he has fear of heights but everything was so beautiful.
Very touristy trail with several people who clearly have not hiked before. Not a lot of people had respect for nature or other people. Beautiful views nonetheless.
Beautiful! Even under cloudy weather.
Easy trail, considerable elevation change last part of the trail has some serious elevation change but overall it is worthy...
cute girls on the hike strong boys on the bridge jumping four wheeler for chumps
Great hike!! Weather was a little wet which made less of a crowd. Definitely worth doing!! The views were phenomenal!!
The bridge is cool. Instagram boyfriends and diva galore. It's a shame because it really is gorgeous. Gmhike somewhere else.
Almost 5 mile hike, most of the way was pretty flat and easy to maneuver. Perfect weather in January. Enjoyed the views! Parking can be a little bit competitive, so go early
This is a must while in Sedona but would recommend getting there no later than 8:00 or 9:00 or you won’t be able to enjoy the actual bridge. I am terrified of heights and had no issues going on the bridge (to a certain point). I crawled only a few feet only because the rest of my family has no fear of heights and went a tad bit further than my comfort.
Awesome. Pretty easy until the final stretch but nothing extreme just some steps to get you to the top:)
Took trail in and dirt road back. We got lucky and were the only ones at the top thanks to the afternoon rain!
Amazing hike with breathtaking views. Our group of 6 started our hike around 6:30AM on Monday morning and there was about a 20 min line to wait for a picture on the bridge. I highly recommend starting the hike early in the morning to avoid the crowd. We left around 9:30 and the crowds were pouring in.
Rainy day schedule
Wayyyy too much traffic. Probably 60-70 people waiting to go on the bridge. Definitely go early, don't do what I did
This trail was overhyped. It has some nice views and a couple of scrambles but is otherwise straightforward. It was way too crowded for the whole hike. The bridge itself is kinda underwhelming compared to the rest of the vistas on the hike. Expect to wait at least an hour for a picture on the bridge if you go on a weekend. There are better views and more fun hikes in Sedona than what Devil's Bridge has to offer
If you start at Dry Creek Vista and the parking lot you can take either the Chuck wagon trail or just cruise down a dirt 4x4 road (this is what most do). The 4x4 road is horrible, people back to back, tons of people playing bluetooth speakers/music, no trail etiquette, and no scenery. plenty of diesel and dust and people, felt like going to a mall. the end of the trail by the bridge is like a theme park attraction; long lines and very crowded. 4x4 vehicles passed us every couple minutes. If I were to ever do this again, I would either park at Mescal Trailhead or take the much longer chuck wagon trail and avoid the crowds until the very last .7 miles. If your looking for a peaceful nature hike I'd look elsewhere.
Beautiful! Don’t tKe the trail with 4x4’s, take the one past the parking lot when you head up the road!!!
Fun hike. Wait for a photo but you’d probably want to spend time at the top anyway, the views are gorgeous.
The scenery was epic - 5/5. The 4x4 road wasn't good for hiking though. Lots of Jeeps, people, litter, noise, etc. If you can take a 4x4 to the actual trailhead, do that.
This was a must on my trip out to Sedona. We ended up parking on the main road as well prior to knowing there was some adequate parking at the top of the hill. There is a main road that takes you to the trail head but my friend and I ventured left to another trail head that takes you to the main one. Hike is fun with absolute stunning views. The hike does get moderate as you get closer to the top with one small section that is a little more sketchy. I would encourage making this an early hike as the trail can get very busy. There was also a line for the picture on the bridge that took an additional 45 minutes. Worth it and enjoy!
Felt like I was at Disney World it was so busy. Never seen a trail that packed in my life and there was over an hour wait to take a photo at the bridge in the middle of the day on Saturday. Hike early, in the middle of the week, or not at all. There is a trail that leaves from the parking lot that is a much more scenic option than hiking along the road to get there.
Initial trek is like walking down a red sandy riverbed. Second half was a little more technical and fun. Better views. Neat bridge, beautiful views. Super busy. Second half on way back took chuck wagon . More scenic but a little further.
Absolutely beautiful trail. It starts out on flat desert and the huge red rocks are all around you. We went for sunrise so it was beautiful to see those red rocks illuminate around us as we trekked up to the bridge—doing this hike for sunrise was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Sedona. The trail gets a little steep at times, but it is well marked and easy to follow. The bridge is a real sight to see, and is so cool to be able to walk out on. Someone is almost always around and willing to take your picture; the community here is so kind and welcoming.
Awesome but lots if people
The views of the red rock were pretty but this was our least favorite hike we did. This is an extremely busy trail, a majority of the hike is shared with passing jeeps so you’re basically just hiking a road and when you get to devils bridge there are so many people that you are constantly waiting for people to come down so you can climb higher up the trail. It was cool to see the bridge but we personally wouldn’t do this hike again.
Views are spectacular. Started hiking at about 0715 and by the time we got to the bridge there was at least a half hour wait for a photo.. we improvised. Also, if you are worried about the pandemic at all, the trail was very crowded with large groups of people. Maybe 5% of people wore face coverings. People not respecting personal space, breathing heavy a foot away from you.
