Sooooo this trail was pretty dope. I went around 2pm and there were only 2 cars parked near the bottom. Very peaceful. The trail was about moderate. Very clear trail but always follow the app cuz some trails look similar. Didn’t see too many bugs which I loved lol I don’t fuck with the critters. I would recommend this trail for all ages who are capable. Couples: not too many lowkey spots to get ur freak on but I’ll keep an eye out. Overall I enjoyed the hike and the views. It was lit!!! #Hikeislife

My first trail I ever did , hiking first. Seemover nice a lot of good photo spots. Had a great day

Beautiful Scenery half way in....awesome Incline workout too! Loved it ....bathrooms on site!

Nice Hike! Confusing markers though....saw 4 coyotes on the trail....

Great hike to get your heart pumping and see some lovely views in a short time frame. My kids love it but it might be a little challenging for younger kids or adults with balance problems. It's also too tight and busy for me to want to take a dog.

Amazing views from the peak. Had hike at just over 4 miles. Very rocky but not difficult. Go early as it becomes very busy with runners and dogs late morning. I started at 6:30 and hit lots of traffic on my decent.

Beautiful trail. Loops you around to Piestewa Peak Summit Trail. Traffic is moderate until you get to the back of the trail, then its sparse. There are only a few places that provide shade so make sure your prepared and have plenty of water.

Crossed paths with two coyotes.

I am a novice at hiking. This was my third trail. Started a couple weeks ago. This is my favorite so far. Didn’t seem as long as everyone says. I like to go slow to take in the views. So many good views on the trail. It’s a decent incline to the peak. The last 1/4 mile to the peak was tough and parts you wondered where the trail was. But once at the top the views are amazing in all directions. Going down was a little difficult with so much loose gravel over rocks. Very small parking lot.

Loved it! visiting from Charlotte, NC. Never hiked much. This was a fun time for me!

I feel like the last quarter of this loop was the only part worth seeing. The last quarter for me was where you see the city skyline and the back of dreamy draw along the freeway. The rest of it was incredibly boring and hard to follow in terms of whoever designed this loop on AllTrails. There were more interesting divergences from this path I would have rather taken, but because I was using my GPS to mark the trail, I tried to conserve battery as much as possible.

So, me and my mom went on this trail for a hike. We wanted an easier one because it was kind of sunny and hot. It was pretty level and we hiked for a while and just followed the lost dog trail until we got to Taliesin Look Out. It was fun on the way back because the sun was behind the clouds, the weather was very nice, and it was mostly down hill or completely level so it was very easy. I suggest that you bring some music and some snacks because we hiked 3 miles there and back. Thank you for reading!

Started at around 8 am Saturday morning and got there just as some of the early birds were finishing so got a great parking spot!
beautiful hike and I would say definitely moderate ( some parts pretty easy and more challenging near the top)
my Fitbit clocked it at 3.75 km up so 7.5 km total. would do again but hopefully get there for sunrise next time

Little too heavily trafficked for my taste, but a nice place to catch a sunset

lots of stairs but fairly quick! As someone who doesn't hike this took me about an hour and a half.

I felt that this was a confusing guide as the loop indicated on this app was hard to find when we got to the trailhead. There are many different options of ways to wander around at this park and I’d go again, but I’d need to do more research outside of this guide.

Pretty scenery but very hard to follow, even with the AllTrails app up. Basically, everything that you think would be the trail is not, and everything you think would not be the trail...is! You are better off just wandering wherever your heart takes you.

Beautiful, moderate, pet friendly trail. I recommend going at sunrise to get a stunning view of the valley and surrounding mountains.

Perfect trail for beginners with a scenic view

This was longer than the review; it came in around 4.7 miles from my calculations. I enjoyed this hike and it was a great workout! Definitely a challenging hike for me, especially the last 1/4 had steep, rocky switchbacks. The views were definitely worth the climb and I loved seeing the fountain. Very clean and well kept trail. Loose gravel and pretty rocky at parts, so just take it slow when needed so you don’t fall! Would definitely do it again!

Nice trail. Go all the way up first and then head east, and come around..

Sunrise is a great hike with light traffic. I access it using the Ringtail Trail that is further East of Lost Dog Wash Trail. The downside to this trail is that it’s really rocky which can be difficult to navigate for those not used to the desert terrain. Otherwise a great view at the top and have always met great fellow hikers on this trail. Definitely worth hiking, running and some even bike it, but it gets pretty tough the closer you get to the top.

Great hike, easy but felt like a good workout for me as a beginner

Nice easy first hike of the season with Girl Take a Hike! 40 plus Women!!!

Less of a hike, more of an enjoyable walk for the dog! Pick a route, any route. Not much of a trail in the beginning but super enjoyable to climb up the rocks.
5:30-6am is a great time to sit and watch the gorgeous sunrise before winter starts, we’ll be back for sure!!

easy going trails for beginners.
love that its soo local but the parking lot gets full at peak hours.

This is an easy trail with some mild elevation to keep it interesting. Short enough to do even in summer weather in Phoenix. Make sure you bring plenty of water, as there isn't much for shade (though there is a water fountain at a pavilion along the way).

Biggest detraction is that it is very poorly marked. We had to rely on the map in this app to stay on trail and even then it was a challenge. On the positive, because the landscape is open desert, it's easy to see where you've been and where you're headed, so you're not likely to get lost.

Great trail for beginners or those who just want a quick outing. Despite being a holiday, it wasn't crowded so while we saw other people, there was no unintended company.

Challenging enough for a good workout this morning, but I’d still consider this a moderate hike. The scenery and views were great. I’d agree with those that said it was closer to 4.6 miles (which took us a little over two hours). I’d suggest plenty of water, wearing a hat, and going in the morning or in the early evening. The sun was no joke (although the breeze was nice and kept things okay until the last 15 min of our hike). The lot was full when we got there and the overflow lot’s gate was broken. We illegally parked in a neighborhood and felt guilty, but weren’t sure what to do. Oh, I’d also suggest having good walking shoes, or even trail shoes as it is a little precarious at points. Last 1/4 mile to the peak is the most challenging and not for those without sure footing. Worth it though, would recommend.

I am a very novice hiker. I would call myself a walker really. I only did part of this trail. After the inclines at the beginning I would say it is fairly easy. Some ups and downs. nothing I couldn't navigate. I went before the sun came over the mountain. I am looking forward to working up to doing more. This is a great location in the neighborhood.

Double easy nice for bike.
