This was the perfect trail for our group to have a great experience in the Grand Canyon. Started at 10 am, took 2:50 out and 2:50 back, plus lunch at Plateau Point. Weather was cool and cloudy on the way back up. Coming back up is no joke, but we found a good pace and it went by quickly. The stations every 1.5 miles broke up the hike very well. Definitely an enjoyable day in the canyon!

The hike is steep in certain parts, especially towards the top. It's pretty gravelly/rocky; wear hiking boots if you have them and it will help on the way down. The cave had an awesome view!

What a great way to spend my morning! The hike part was very nice. The last part before you make it to the cave is a little challenging but very do able. If ever need a morning to see this beautiful desert we live in ... the view from the cave was way worth the hike! Pack snacks and make sure to have water.

Great hike. The hieroglyphs were incredible

It was an amazing experience to be there and see such a beautiful place! It was a lot of fun to do the hike, it wasn’t too hard!!

Absolutely beautiful hike. Definitely a good workout. I’d say it’s on the harder side of moderate because of all the rocks. Lots of people recommend looking back, definitely do so! Breathtaking views as you get higher and higher on the mountain.

Watched the sunrise over horseshoe bend this week. Absolutely amazing. Very few people there at that time, but by the time he sun came up it was packed already. Recommend going early.

We hiked it during a rainstorm, which made it a bit more difficult to maneuver, but we started early and there were less than 10 people at the bridge when we arrived. No wait for pictures, and the fog and mist in the background made the view even more spectacular!

Very nice trail. Good signposts. Lots of people. Safe area for lone hikers. Incredible views of the valley.

Apparently I’m out of shape because it was hard!!! Beautiful hike, wouldn’t do it in summer.

Great hike not too hard, waited to take pics but worth it!!!

Beautiful and easy walk. LONG wait to get on the bridge. Over 45 minutes so we didn’t get on it. But the views are spectacular from the top. It is crowded, however.

Loved everything about it. Short but sweet. Great for kids, I took all five of my kids and even my two year old did great!

Took the kids today for spring break 2018 and they loved it! The cave was awesome and any trail with lots of climbing rocks is a hit with them. The are 7 and 9. We did the whole thing in about two hours(including exploring the cave)

Great hike! But many traffic near the bridge. An hour wait to take pictures on the bridge, but worth the wait!

Casual, heavily-trafficked trail that gets more strenuous as the trail gets steeper and narrower. There's a line at the top for the photo op if you enjoy people watching.

Amazing hike with varying environments and views. Allow for ~7 hours with stops to really appreciate it all.

Rock solid. Do this loop along with the entire larger loop and stops if you can. Well worth it.

What Angie (+Samara) said. Do the whole thing if you can, but plan accordingly. I also finished the last few miles in the dark after hiking 10 miles in seven hours including stops. Caught it all though, including sunset followed by stars.

Heart of Rocks specifically is the furthest point in. The loop is amazing! Chiricahua is an incredible place.

Fun and challenging hike. Right around 5 mi round trip. I’m in pretty good shape and pushed myself to get to the top and back in just under 80 min for a workout (not running). Casually this hike is more like 2.5 hrs if you want to enjoy the awesome views. Best to get there before 8 am to beat the rush.

The freedom this hike has is well worth it. Not crowded at all in the morning. We only saw about 5 people. We headed away from the Colorado river. To get down into the canyon, there is a "path" made of rocks lined up. Just walk in between the rock lines and you will get to the point where you can descend into the canyon. Once you find the "ladder", you can go up if you want, but there wasn't really a good way out of the canyon at the top. We turned around and found some trail markers piled up. At that point we ascended the canyon and hiked toward the parking lot above the canyon. Just keep an out for trail markers and you will be fine.

Very majestic place. Very crowded but worth the experience.

Loved this hike! Views were stunning along the entire trail! pretty steep incline the whole way up, but the view was totally worth it. We finished the trail in about 4 hours. We are in our early 20's and are experienced hikers.

Nice easy hike great to see remnants of the Victoria mine plus nice scenery.

First time doing this trail yesterday, and loved it. Definitely challenging and an excellent workout, the views from the top don't disappoint.

Absolutely gorgeous, moderate difficulty with lots of people. The sights are breathtaking.

Great hike up and back with a lot of scenic views along the way. First mile is a little challenging but the reward is worth it.

The top was worth every hard step I took. I’ve heard of the staying to the left but knowing me I ended up in the rock climbing trail that was very difficult but lead me to the top. A beautiful trail with great views. Take lots of water at least 3 liters and snacks. Have fun!

Beautiful up and back on well maintained trail
