on Water Wheel Falls

Easy and thoroughly enjoyed the snow hike.. This a good family hike with children and would have to cross the stream in 3 places

keep going until you reach the waterfall! We went right after a snowfall and it was beautiful to see and hear the icy water rushing, including the waterfall itself! The water wheel itself greets you to the left before you begin the trail. There are also lovely memorials for victims of flash flooding; we stopped and paid tribute as reminders of both human life and the strength of nature. We walked on ice over the frozen streams! if you follow the trickles, they become larger and larger bodies of frozen water, until you reach the rushing falls. There is a carved chair that you can sit in at the very end near the falls! I would definitely recommend this hike and will most likely visit again during another season to check out the difference. Be mindful of the massive horse pies along the route, though I rather take that than the unnecessary tagging done to the beautiful rocks :-( Beautiful hike, lovely natural workout. I highly recommend!

The trail is in perfect condition and provides a scenic, easy in and out hike through lush greenery with spectacular views of the red rocks that Sedona is famous for.

Nice and easy dog friendly hike with beautiful views!! Highly recommend the last scramble up the rocks to see the view!! 2 miles round trip!

Beautiful canyon and falls. It is a well maintained trail although there were times it was hard to find the trail after the water crossing.

Heavy snowfall made this hike very enjoyable on NY day.

beautiful falls! great hike

A unique hike. Slippery but has some of the most picturesque views within the natural bridge.

It’s just a short path but it’s an amazing view! A cool piece of history.

Went to the end of trail and the hike just started. Carry forward up the mountain along the trail for another half mile or so. Awesome sites

Great hike for toddlers but don’t expect to take them up the scramble at the end for the view. Lots of people, half children, Christmas week.

Great view at the top

Very mellow hike with huge payoff at the end! Travel inside the canyon and the foliage was beautiful. The short climb at the end is well worth it, but wear solid hiking shoes or coming down will be tricky.

Great hike for the family. Moderately crowded trail. At the end of the trail, I would recommend climbing up the rocks for a marvelous view you wouldn’t get while on the paved trail.

on Fay Canyon Trail

Very pleasant hike with a great view if you scramble up the rocks at the end. We also did a side trail up to an arch that was slightly steeper and less trafficked. This was one of three hikes we did while in Sedona (others were Cathedral Rock and Devil's Bridge), and we were happy with our choices!

Easy hike with wonderful views, one of my favorites in the area!

great hike for the whole family and amazing views of the red rocks.

This hike is fun and easy and the view at the end after a short rock scramble was beautiful.

One of a best hike to do in winter.. thoroughly enjoyed 9 stream crossings.. A real worth the climb!!! will come back again for refreshing in the chillness and water.. This is a family hike , just guard the rocky terrain with children...

Great easy trail. make sure to find the hidden trail across the creak about halfway back, this will take you up a steep climb to an archway in the rock, and a great spot to relax for awhile. The views are great.

Nice easy hike.

Very neat to see in person. Worth seeing.

A nice hike with great views of the Dells. We only hiked to the dam but was a pretty little area there

Always a good hike, keep your feet dry!

Super easy & rewarding hike!

Really cool hike along the verde river that obviously leads to the abandoned springs (after crossing - river was mid-thigh & we did it barefoot no problem, a little bit of current though if you're bringing kids). Pretty easy with a little climbing. Really nice people at the campground that gave us some advice but you could figure it out anyway. Did meet some nudists but they were courteous & didn't have to share pools since we got there early. The rainbow room was pretty warm but not super hot 11/24/18. Very pretty!

Great cool down after Bear Mountain hike. Be a good walk if it was really warm because the trail is situated in the trees. Had to piggyback my husband out at this point. Enjoy!
