Cool piece of history. Not a tough hike but neat nonetheless!

Beautiful example of desert badlands- very distinctive blue gray color and plenty of petrified wood uncovered.

This was the last trail we did in Petrified Forest and while the size of the logs was impressive, the colors were nothing like Jasper Forest.

Petroglyphs are amazing. Easy walk.

The trail was restored to a point and then you are walking along a sand wash. But don’t stop, because the samples of petrified wood here were outstanding with every possible color represented. We did not find the loop and ended up hiking as an in and out.

Fabulous, a must do at Petrified National Park!!! Short but absolutely stunning and unique views — the colors are gorgeous, and the ancient earth energy is amazing. Thank you Mama Earth ✨

Brought my students around this loop. Great trail to educate!

Awesome hike especially if you enjoy climbing rocks which you can do once you reach the end of the trail. It does get cooler at the base of the Canyon so make sure to dress warm if you plan on hiking it in late November.

Great if you’re in average or less than average physical condition, but all skill levels should check it out! It is like walking into another world at the end - surprising, beautiful, enchanting. Quick and totally worthwhile hike! Wear shoes for exploring on/over some rocks. We went in early November - sunny and low 60’s, but prob 5-10 degrees cooler at the base of the mountain.

I liked this trail. Even my mother hiked it with me. Great little loop and the blue hues of the mesa were fun to take pics of and edit the color later on my camera.

A beautiful setting filled with rich history, fantastic views, and a good burn on the way up all the stairs. It's a short hike, but well worth it, especially if you go up and down the stairs twice.

Loved the trail. Hiked with a group of kids and they all did well! Paved and not very natural but it’s cool for what it is. Hiked it back in July

Great trail for an easy trek to see some mountains. Not much to explore once you’re at the end but it’s a very pleasant trail. Shady about half the time. Wonderful sounds of winds and curves.

Did whole trail; no chance to record.
Easy walk, viewing the site.
Some wise steps, except for one, inclines are not steep (and even then, it wasn’t really steep, just in comparison to the rest of the trail).
Incredible to think how many millions of years those logs have been around!
I recommend for all levels.

Didn’t do whole trail, pressed for time (needed to get to other end before 6pm).
Was a quick peek. But, the very little done was nice; nice view and super easy.

After Wednesday’s fiasco at Doe Mtn., wanted to try this one out. Great trail for me in that it’s paved and many incline areas have handrails, not to mention the path is not narrow!

Great points of interest with info and great views along the way.

Have water handy, needed more so on way back up (those stairs are a cardio/heart rate killer! lol).

The history and views are awesome. The fact that you get to actually be inside the Sinaguas’ dwellings is amazing!
A must do hike!

I love this little trail. It's not very long, but the stairs back up make it physically satisfying. the canyon is beautiful, the plants are interesting, and the history is fascinating. It amazes me that such a gem is so close to town -- just a freeway exit out of Flagstaff. I like to visit this park every time I visit Flagstaff.

Great easy hike with rewarding finish just wish i brought my rock climbing shoes!

Great scenic drive along the park. Has great vista views and doesn't get crowded. Highly recommend the Blue Mesa Trail, Desert Inn for the vista as well as ice cream downstairs, and of course the Petrified Logs in the southern entrance. I didn't stop at all the locations, but these were the stops that I made and would recommend. A very underrated National Park in my opinion.

Great short hike. Some steepness in the beginning. Highly recommend considering how short the hike is and for the views.

Great trail! It goes right through the middle of the Blue Mesa!!

Highlight of our trip! If you love climbing and exploring, this trail is for you! A very easy 3 mi out and back trail that has a huge payoff at the end! Highly recommend climbing up into the rocks and exploring around. So beautiful and you feel like you’re on a different planet.
