This place/hike is amazing. I actually did this back in 2015. I had to follow a blog post someone had posted on the directions to the false kiva but that made it more fun. It was like a scavenger hunt! There are some loose rocks on the trail so be careful and wear proper footwear. But the views are stunning and the whole hike was so awesome. My husband was so happy that I took him there. What an amazing experience.

This was a fun hike and I would definitely do it again—lots of great look outs and we caught the sunset at the point which was unforgettable. The trail was pretty easy to follow and offered plenty of great views.

Talk about a gorgeous hike with massive rock cliffs surrounding every part of the trail. This hike is a must do! The whole trail is the destination, each portion is beautiful with new photo ops. The trail begins on the right of the parking lot if you’re looking toward the Towers, and there are bathrooms at the trail head. Blew my expectations out of the water!

This trail had amazing views from every angle. The Fischer Towers were massive and the trail winds down and around them. A little slick in the winter but definitely doable!

Beautiful hike! Some good ups and downs. Little hard to follow in the beginning but then it becomes more obvious. Gorgeous to do toward the end of the day to see the sun on the spires. A special spot. Intriguing views and worth the hike!

Did the east rim trail to dead horse lookout and back on the same trail on New Years Day morning. Toward the lookout you come to the road and it was nice to cross over and see the west rim a little. The trail is easy and flat and follows the rim for lots of good views. The lookout is gorgeous. Great views of the Colorado river below. It’s definitely worth the walk (you can drive there too but walking it is better). It was 4 degrees, windy and a little snowy but very pretty. Nice option given that the national parks are closed.

Amazing Hike!!! This is NOT a destination trail. The whole hike IS your destination! Every corner you turn presents a new beautiful scene! The kids enjoyed this trail more than any of the others that we did on this trip, just because the trail felt more like a playground. Definitely want to do this hike again.

Even better than those in the nearby national parks. Not too technical. Great for family. There are some ups and downs. But it is fun to see the climbers around. Summer can be hot and exposed.

Fine but not that spectacular.

As good as it gets for a moderate hike with great views! I went around 930 and pretty much had the trail to myself. this is a must do hike

Busy but great short hike !

It can be diffciult to find your way sometimes, but nothing too bad, especially if you don't go too early and there are other hikers! I would strongly advise that you complete the loop. Also, this is the most boring side of the loop. So I suggest doing the loop counterclockwise to keep the best for the end

Amazing views the whole hike! Pretty easy to follow the trail. It has a lot of terrain changes which is part of the fun. It says it is a 2 hour hike but I would plan more time because of the amazing views. You will want to stop to enjoy the scenery. Note there is a short ladder section to bridge a small gap halfway down the trail. May be difficult for small children and large dogs but other people had dogs and kids on the trail. You can always turn around at this point too. The end of the trail takes you out on “bluff.” There is a sign when you get to the end that says “Trail Ends.” 10/10 would totally recommend!!!

Awesome hike. On top of the world at the end.

fabulous day for this hike! Hiked corona and bow tie arch before this, and still made it to the ‘trail end’ sign. awesome views the whole way!

Great short hike, wonderful views. The history of the area is very interesting. Great visitor centre

Amazing!!! Beautiful hike and trail with some fun climbing/ scrambling. Totally worth it. We were the only ones on this trail at 7am on October 15th.

Such a fantastic hike!! Definitely chilly up at the top with wind so pack layers. Hike has ups, downs, climbing, ladders, etc so prepare if elderly or have children. There were a couple times I had trouble following the trail, but it is well marked by others with the rock towers (look for them!) This hike is so beautiful though and unlike anything I’ve seen inside the national parks. Highly recommend!! According to signs at trailhead, it’s 2.2 miles up & back (total of 4.4) versus what’s on this app. Not sure what is correct!

Easy to get to in our Toyota Tundra even after recent rain. I think you could easily get to it in an all wheel drive vehicle if you go the conventional way. You for sure need a more high clearance 4WD vehicle to take the other road.
We LOVED this hike. We passed one other person on the way out.
We didn't have a problem following the trail, and the weather was perfect mid October.
I could see how this would be a hot hike on a sunny day, as there isn't much shade.
Will do this again for sure!

Awesome, more "secret" hike in canyonlands.
It's a steep climb in and out, but the views are awesome! The kiva is currently roped off, but you can get close to it. It's a bummer someone ruined the experience for the rest of us by vandalizing it.

Be sure to read the brochures in the guestbook box about archeological site protection. Respecting the trails and sites are key to being able to enjoy these hikes for years to come!

me and a buddy did this trail and the views are Absolutely beautiful. the kiva itself is still roped off but the views are well worth the hike. we were the only 2 on the trail and at the end it became hard to see the next carine but if you look hard enough you won't have a issue.

I'm not sure why this is rated difficult. Fairly easy hike that was a little difficult to find. There are a few spots you do some light bouldering.

One of the best in Moab area...a local favorite. Bring lots of water and make sure you go to the very end .... where you will see a little wooden sign saying “The End” Being able to watch the rock climbers is an added benefit. Enjoy!!

THE BEST... do not miss this one. Started at the parking lot and went clockwise. Be sure to do all the lookouts. Views are breathtaking!

What a great trail!! Lots of fun. We made it about 3/4 of the way and the kids were tuckered out, so we turned around. Such great views up and down. It was really neat watching the rock climbers at the top of The Cheeto!

Short, easy hike for a great reward at the end! If you have good, grippy shoes you won’t have an issue with this hike at all. Since majority of the hike is just up a huge rock.

Ok so first off, the views were outstanding and totally worth our experience on the trail. Another review gave us the directions to the trail head- parking at the alcove parking lot and walking back up the road to the section of logs. The trails begins directly behind the logs. Follow the path all the way to the sign that enforces no vandalizing the kiva. From there there will be cairns guiding the way. We had a hard time finding some of the cairns but overall they were extremely helpful. The only misleading thing was there were cairns going past the kiva all the way around the other cliff side. We weren’t paying close enough attention, missed the kiva, and kept walking around the cliff side assuming we still had further to go. Once we reached the other end of the cliff the sun was setting and WOW. The views from that side were just amazing. On our way back down the cliff side we found the kiva and realized where we messed up. But by this time there was no daylight left and we somehow got off trail sending us down the cliff side on scrambling rocks and dirt. It was extremely scary. I’m only saying all of this because I don’t want someone else to make the same mistake and end up out there after dark unprepared (as we were).

Great trail. Well marked. Towers are amazing. Bonus getting to watch rock climbers. Beautiful views throughout.

Great views.
