Rock climbingGreat!Scramble

Amazing hike! Started clockwise and was glad we did, this made the trek back easier. The last couple miles were sandy and seemed mostly downhill. It didn’t feel like a 7.9 mile hike because there was constantly something new to see. Will definitely do this one again!

Amazing! Perfect time of year to do this hike. Not too hot, not too cold, hardly anyone there. I would say this is a medium difficulty hike, with a handful of tricky jumps or squeezes. Nothing crazy.

Rock climbingGreat!

this trail whooped my ass but was so worth it. i started counterclockwise, on the primitive trail and think that’s the better way to start out. pretty easy to get turned around, so i’d recommend downloading the map layer and follow the cairns and footprints. lots of scrambling and problem solving, but that’s what makes it fun! i’d say it’s more of a four hour hike than three hours.

Really amazing hike. Otherworldly terrain. You hike over some of the rock fins and feel like you’re on top of the world. Follow the cairns for trail markers, but they get few and far between on the Primitive Trail. That’s where I’d start though—get the hard part over first!

Wonderful trail! Follow the cairns, otherwise it's easy to get lost, but that adds to the fun of it

HikingGreat!RockyScramble

Amazing trail with a variety of views and adventures! Started off at 10:15 AM and did the full loop clockwise, ending at 2:15 PM. I would recommend going clockwise around the primitive loop, so that the the final portion of the trail is mostly decline with only a few stretches of steep incline. Take the spur trails to all the arches, they’re incredible! When we ended the trail, we could tell it was crowded, but out on the primitive trail, we only passed people every so often. To get the best feel of Arches Park, this trail is the way to go.

Do. This. Hike!!! The primitive trail is not bad at all, but I recommend Vibram tread or better. I was glad I had the map downloaded as the slick rock path was slightly confusing. Seeing so many arches along one trail was a real treat. I can't believe I hadn't done the loop prior in all the times I've been to arches. HIGHLY recommend.

It’s really hard if you do all the arches, otherwise it’s just regular hard

OMG! My first slot canyon hike! Incredible. We hiked Peekaboo, then, Spooky and some of Dry Fork. One of the most amazing hikes ever.

Amazing views, and great arches. We did primitive on the way back, and I’d actually suggest you’d start at primitive. The primitive side is definitely harder than expected, and it has high potential for getting lost. Make sure to pay attention to cairns!!

HikingGreat!

We took the loop counter clockwise. Primitive trail seemed easy at first with soft sand and well marked trail. Then we hit a couple scrambles that give the trail it’s rating. We started at 9:30 and by the return saw a lot of traffic. Otherwise, one of my son and my favorite trails of the many National Park trails we’ve done.

Great hike! There are a couple of mildly technical sections on the slick rock, but pretty straightforward otherwise.

HikingGreat!No shadeScramble

Stunning trail! We started this trail at 3:30pm so only made it 2.5 miles in. What amazing land this travels over! Some scramble, edge walking and sometimes hard to tell where trail is but there are signs and cairns to help guide. No ice this time but good traction shoes a must. I look forward to completing this trail next time! Great time to visit Arches NP as we only saw three other cars in parking lot!

Awesome trail! Not as technical as the park signs made it seem but you do still have to crawl, slide and climb a little. Lots of fun!

HikingGreat!Scramble

Awesome trail! Phenomenal arches and fun to walk along the rock fins. Keep an eye out for carins to help guide the way if you do the primitive trail. You will be scrambling and climbing up and down rock sides, good traction shoes are a must and you’ll most likely sit to slide down a rock once or twice. Our hike ended up being about 10 miles with all the exploring around the different arches that we did. Highly recommend!
