We XC skied on little snow 3/9 but still had fun. The trails are groomed for XC so you have to wait until conditions are good and then follow the groomer. Check Facebook’s Shenendehowa Nordic Club for ski trail updates

Well labeled but trail go over water streams so we’re proper shoes.

first time I've ever tried to walk the green diamond trail with the dog today. had to turn back after 2 miles. could not make the first stream Crossing as it was too high and running rapidly. the trail itself was all ice and mud because of the warm temperatures. scenery was very nice from what I could see of it.should be spectacular in the summertime when I will attempt to hike it again. the walk back seemed slightly uphill all the way to the parking lot. lol. great exercise!

Wear metal crampons if hiking in the winter. This trail is extremely slick with ice. Wear warm clothes and proper hiking attire. Stay away from the edges as there is ice under the snow and it is very easy to slip. It’s a long way to the bottom.

good little walk. was pretty icy in spots.

I was really excited to try this hike, but unfortunately the reserve was closed. Yellow tape and the like. There were signs saying when they would reopen.

Will try again when I am back in that part of the state.

Very icy today!

Traction aids are a must until we get more snow.

A quick loop that my dog loves to do!

Nice and easy. They also have 4 park benches scattered around to sit on and watch for birds. I saw some noisy woodpecker type birds, is that what a woodcock is? My dog loved running around this place. This place is made of 4 small interconnected trails: white, yellow, red and blue. The blue trail that runs south is closed spring and summer for bird nesting. I got kind of lost on the red trail (pre winter, leaves everywhere) so glad I had this GPS to help me out. Check out this trail sometime, great exercise.

Took my sister here in spring and the falls were great. Easy walk though very muddy.

Nice trail and well maintained. Very end of the red loop has a blue loop not worth adding- takes you to a gravel pit and a culvert. Along the ridges entirely flat, with some up and downs at the ends.

Wanted to like this nature walk but so to many garter snakes to be comfortable. Grass seemed too high as well.

Trails are way to confusing need to switch trails like half dozen times to do loop need to have a perimeter trail all the with same color markings and then label connecting trails if you don’t have paper map with you you will be very confused. I spent way too much time trying to make sure I was going where I wanted. Also be nice if they label things on the map like the location of the waterfalls. Just so you all know the waterfalls is on the other side of the road from the parking lot. Take red trail to blue trail to white trail to green trail to gold trail to red trail again will take you for a loop. Good luck

Very nice hike. Some challenging parts. Climbs up and down the ravine and a few creek crossings which were a bit tricky because there was some ice on the rocks. Beautiful waterfalls. Dogs on and off leash. Easy to get off the trail...watch the markers.

The trails where confusing, found some little waterfalls in the red trail across the road. Was an easy walk lots of stone walls

Nice trail. A little muddy in spots but was a pretty walk through the woods. Good trail for younger kids.

Great trail but tricky. It leads you to an entrance that has no waterfalls.

Parts of the trail are not marked very well hard to tell which direction to go next at times. Ticks were really bad pulled 7 off my dog when we got home. Make sure to wear high socks!

good jog areas

easy to walk with older dog and still challenging enough for the younger dog. nice area to take in the morning

I got my workout here, it's beautiful. I'll always come back. Either just us or with our dog. Ticks were bad this year, maybe it will be better next year.

I love the trail. Very peaceful. Unfortunately it has gotten overgrown.

Nice walk/jog

Great place, many, many trails. Well marked but without a map you’ll be lost. The loop here, on all trails, follows the white, green, blue and red trails for different parts. Easy walking or running.

It’s amazing to find so much nature including a beautiful waterfall so close to big cities

A nice paved trail with beautiful views of the falls and power plant. There are interesting historical/geographical info signs and a park at the top of the cliffs. Lots of stairs though, so be aware of that! Also not much shade, so a good one for sun-lovers lke my bf. This is one of his favorite places to stop when we are driving through the area. The riverbed area is supposedly open sometimes, but it never has been while we were there. Parking is on the south side of N Mohawk street. Be sure to visit in the spring or after a storm when the water is rushing.

Great hike to the falls this afternoon with my daughter. The lower (blue) trail was a little muddy in spots, but not a problem.

This was a great half day hike. We didn't walk super fast and had the pup with us. Some rooty but great trails. Did the full north/south loop. Disappointing part was no water

We did the red trail loop. A little muddy this time of year but still a good hike. Went to the lower falls and took some nice pics.
