Excellent hike through the snowy woods. I feel that this hike is really best during late April when you have the beautiful snow capping the mountains and the volcano itself.

Beautiful views and easy walks for kids. Falls are incredible but very busy with lingering tourists.

Pretty difficult for even a 4x4 w/ 3" lift. Really glad we aired down before starting, parts of the trail are washed out and had alot of rocks some really deep (and scary) ruts. After 2 miles, came across a closed gate and had to turn around. We went into the sequoia foothills visitor center to ask about it, and was told it is a park ranger only trail. If this is really the case I wish there was sign at the start of the road.

Easy trail.

Did this in the winter and it was a beautiful.

Was a really gorgeous, but we missed the trail and went straight at the end of the parking lot and had a hard time finding the trail to the Craters. Go left at the end of the parking lot and follow the blue markers all the way up! The Craters are frozen right now so no bright blue water but still really pretty.

Awesome place to go. Views are beautiful and road in has alot of places to stop and walk around. I've seen marmonts there at times. probably should have a truck or something with some ground clearance, trail can get a little rough at times.

Fun trail but should be rated more difficult for off roading. We had to stop and reverse about a mile in because of a deep 4 foot rut on one side and a drop off on the other. Will attempt again when we have someone else with us in case things go bad

how do I get gate access? or is it open during the seasons?

A classic and easy.

Very nice, easy trail to get to the base of the falls. It was low flowing in October, but still beautiful to witness. The trail is flat and wide, makes for a nice stroll. Pretty crowded though.

Nice trail. Craters aren't anything special. Big holes in the ground with some brown water. The smaller one is ringed with trees. Makes for a nice photo or two.

Great quick easy little hike. The view is more than worth the 30 minutes. Some people...... even climb up during the dry months.

beautiful trail, easy to get to. just watch out for crowds and slippery rocks.

Nice chill hike- family friendly.

Short hike with fairly steep incline, but once at the top the crater is breathtaking, don't forget there are 2 craters up there, one does not have a barrier so be careful.

Quick easy walk to the falls. Good for all ages. You can climb on the rocks at the end to get closer to the falls. Be careful though and heed the warning signs!

great easy paved walk to get close views of the falls.
