Fun little beginner trail. Had a blast driving around and taking photos

Really fun but did not go the entire way as it would take a bit of time. A lot of great spots with different challenges and some great views for a picnic. We went during the week and only ran into a few others but otherwise it was very quiet.

07 FJ Cruiser Base, my first time out with it, and it was awesome! Not too bad, went after a rain spell and there were a few deep puddles but the cruiser coasted through. Great scenery on a sunny day!

I went the day after it rained. The Trail is clearly marked, and has half a dozen or so meanders that eventually bring you back to the main Trail. There were several muddy passages that I would expect to be dry a couple days after the rain so 2wd vehicles should be fine as long as you stick to the trail.

I followed the AllTrails.com track however there was more to do beyond the listed end point and a few trails that were off the beaten path to be explored.

This trail is listed as moderate but I think you can choose between easy and moderate, depending on which meanders you pick. If you only do the main Trail you could do the entire trek in a mid size SUV or crossover. You could also choose paths that require 4X4 and more clearance.

The roads are wide so you can always turn around if you get in over your head.

Keep it slow around turns, there are many blind turns and motorcyclists like to ride up there as well.

Excellent trail! Starting at the bottom and driving north had some steep inclines. Got lost around the top and found another easier trail back to the start making a loop. Cool rock formations near the start. Overall, great views. North end has some rocky areas but all the roads are pretty wide. I’d give it a 5 if I was actually able to complete it without getting lost.

This is a nice super easy trail to begin with not much of a view but still a nice way to get away

Easy fire road traveling to the top of mountain.
Lunch at the top enjoying beautiful views.

I ride my dual sport here often, the tail is easy but beware of the steep drops on the side. Ride carefully! You will need a permit to ride or drive here so stop by the San Gabriel OHV area on Sat/Sun and register (its free). With registration you get access to the gate for two weeks before needing to re-register

Went to go hike this today and access road to get there is closed.

Very easy 10 mile trail to do. The best view is at the end of the trail where there is a closed gate and you must turn back around. Must get a permit from the Glendora Ranger Station to get the lock combo to the gate. I would rate it 5 star if it wasn’t because you have to turn back around. Please don’t liter and help keep these trails clean for everyone’s enjoyment.

Fun skill building hills and trails. 4x4 with lift and rear lockers recommended. Great scenic views and technical uphill climbs.

Went up last night around 10pm during high gust winds in a 1997 Subaru Outback Sport. car is pretty much factory, on 17" Legacy Wheels and worn Factory Michelin Tires. As stated, trail is closed about 10miles in but still a decent trail for beginners and non-lifted vehicles. Might rate higher once we get a chance to try out the rest of the trail when the gates open up!

Great amount of variety of off road vehicle trails. Some were extremely challenging and intimidating. We had so much fun driving the variety of interconnecting steep hills, gullies and trails that we never made it to the lake. Will definitely go again!

Nice views, fun trail

There are some tough parts that require being thoughtful about tire placement. We hit one really tough rocky spot that require a spotter but not sure we were even on the trail anymore as there are a bunch of trail options and no cell signal. High clearance and 4wd a must for parts.

Nice trail for most. lower part is fun for kids but wouldnt recommend kids once you get to the hook and start heading up. Keep your eyes open! A mountain lion was roaming today#

It was a beautiful hike, the view was amazing (I posted a few pictures). We went from around 2pm to 7pm and by far the best view and lighting was the 5-7pm window. Definitely plan on coming back at some point soon. The only down side was that we had a ton of gnats following us. Especially for the last half of the way there and the first half of the way back. Also, we also saw three tarantulas on the way back, which was pretty awesome (photos shared). Definitely a fun and unexpected adventure!
Overall though I highly recommend it.

Not sure why it's rated moderate. This trail is definitely very easy without the need for 4x4 but the views are great. if you're looking for an easy run with amazing views this trail is definitely it.
