Lovely hike even though trail pretty icy. Be sure to check out Kiwanis Cabin. Only did part of trail because of time limitations but will definitely return to finish.

Nice easy hike. If you want to avoid the bikers I recommend taking the side trails. Very pleasant overall.

great short hike with cool views of the hills. good for beginners

Great hike to do on a snowy Sunday. The tram was busy but the rest of the trail was empty.

Waterfall was frozen when I hiked this trail but still cool!

Trail isn't clearly marked but the view of the petroglyphs is amazing!

Found this trail by accident and loved it! Someone told me you can go 1/2 mile into the cave.

Very nice hike. Easy and relaxing.

One of my favorite hikes to do with my dogs! Esp at dusk with the sun setting and the city lighting up. It never seems super busy at the times I have been there especially on the brisk windy days, which are oddly my favorite because it reminds me of Living in Wyoming

wasn't clearly marked, were we in someone's back yard? the dogs scared us. did love that we saw long eared rabbits, road runners, coyote & indigenous birds.

well worth it. user friendly

This should be designated as a bicycle trail as the number of cyclists greatly outnumber hikers, at least midday on a Sunday. It's hard to hike when you have to get off the trail every minute or two to let bikers (who ignore the signs that say bikers yield to hikers) pass. This was our first time on the trail and had a difficult time following the map because the trails are not well-marked. There are a few places where two or three trails branch off and there are no signs telling which is the one you want. The map and signs are great if you know where you're going already, but not helpful for a first timer. The scenery is nice but it's not an enjoyable hiking experience.

Great loop, but the hike up the crest spur is pretty steep, more on a moderate level. Fairly exposed to wind most of the time, if it's blowing.

Nice, short hike with a beautiful view of the Sandias.

Fun, short easy hike with my son and nieces. They enjoyed the spring at the top and we stopped and had a snack at the picnic table next to the spring. If you only want to go to the springs take a left at the fork and it is only about half a mile to get there.

Very cool and easy hike for the family. We took our twin 8 year olds. They loved the "hike" up and the abandoned mining town at the top. we jogged the last mile back to the car. great fun.

This is a great spot for a quick walk or a long walk and is good for all ability levels. I’m an advanced hiker but still enjoyed the views and activity. The petroglyphs have been beautiful preserved, it’s wonderfully that people have really respected them and left them as they found them.
Go check it out and please, continue to be kind to the amazing, historical petroglyphs.

Hiked this trail over 100 times. It’s my conditioning trail because it’s so close.

It’s a really fun trail with the kids. We made it all the way without having any piggy back rides. They loved the water and the ivy. Family fun win!

Great run! Mostly soft sand trails with very little hard packed dirt. Lots of side trails if you want to get creative. Lots of cool petroglyphs and huge Jack Rabbits!

Great trail that makes for a fun run. Went early in the morning mid week and there were very few people there.

Beautiful fun hike!

Beautiful Hike! Make sure to bring a mask and flashlight if you want to explore the cave.

It’s not so nice during the winter when everything around is brown.
