Beautiful hike/walk. Easy and clearly marked trails. We saw a bald eagle at the lake, moose tracks and bear scat.

The trail tends to get a bit crowded with people but there is still plenty of room to see the beauty of the river. The path is very well-marked and level. Great hike for someone who wants to get into the park a little bit further that the visitor center.

I was just in awe to be in Denali National Park!! Went during the last week of May!

Pretty easy going hike with a great view at the snow field! :)

Nice walk starting near Anchorage downtown. excellent trail for biking and skateboarding.

Unparalleled views and scenery seem too easily accessed for the quick, flat hike. Get up close to ice and snow formations, a twisting river, and Byron Glacier, and look back at Portage Valley and Lake if you climb a little higher. Bring bug spray.

Moderately trafficked area with more commercialization than desired at the trail head, but the views and scenery were still incredible! It’s a short hike, relatively easy. The hike takes you out and back along the edges of the river, back into some beautiful rock formations.

A nice wide trail back to the snowfield by Byron Glacier. Lots of rocks to climb on at the end. The kids and dogs love it. Just don't go in the snow caves or up on the snow over the river. People have died when the snow or ice collapses. Berry picking is good along the trail in the fall, especially for salmon berries. Bring a jacket as the temperature drops as you get closer to the glacier.

Very easy mile there and mile back. Bug spray in July is a must. Beautiful views and snow to play on at the end.

Some many uses, and very well located

Nice if you go off trail a bit, this is a very busy trail!

nice little stop

Peaceful and quiet relaxing

Such an awesome trail, great to have this app to help me keep on the right path.

So so worth it, those were my son’s words. I did this trail with my husband and son and we had a blast. We hiked for about a mile to the end of the trail and then hiked over the snow and boulders. We enjoyed some ice caves it was great.

great trail nice stuff to see

Did basically the loop outlined here. Well maintained, but felt pretty boring for the area. Nice if you just want a flat area to roam instead of all of the peaks nearby. We did cut into the air field at one point and came upon a moose, which was really cool.

Three stars since it's still in Denali, but it's not the most exciting trail. Up the ante by going off the trail at the north end and hopefully seeing some wildlife that people on the trail can't see.

This was a great run, beautiful views throughout. The burnt-out area around McHugh was extra cool.

Really great family adventure! The best city view is a little past earthquake park about 4ish miles from 5th Ave in downtown Anchorage.

A nice city trail. There were plenty of mosquitoes! Nice views and lots of educational signs to read and learn. We parked at Earthquake Park.

Super easy hike, beautiful scenery, good for kids or those with bad knees. There’s usually a fair amount of traffic, but some peaceful spots to sit and reflect just off trail.

I like to refer to this trail as a long walk. The trail is areas of hills with flat stretches between and gorgeous views of the arm.
Was there 3 days ago and saw 3 moose and there was a bear warning, but didn't see any. Would always recommend taking bear spray.

Definitely more hilly than I was expecting but it was a great ride! Woronzof Point Park was my favorite and we got to watch a few planes fly in above us to land. We also got super lucky and saw a moose near the earthquake park

I didn’t even care that there were quite a few people on the trail. It was so beautiful! Great stroll and an incredible place to drink a beer

Very easy trail. Glacier has receded quite a bit but you can hike on the rocks to get a bit further back and less people are there. Otherwise a lot of people on the trail.
