Beautiful hike/walk. Easy and clearly marked trails. We saw a bald eagle at the lake, moose tracks and bear scat.

Rainy and pretty chilly day. Up there, view was very nice even with the clouds. Did it with son and daughter (10 and 6) and by the end children were exhausted.

Well worth the hike. I’d recommend going up the hard route (right) and reward yourself by coming down the easier side (left). The views at the top were breathtaking. Took about 35 minutes up with water breaks and had the summit to myself. If you have the time, continue along the ridge to Black Tail (another must do).

My 6 and 9 year old kids made the entire trail and I couldnt be prouder since it is strenuous for an adult. Views are spectacular and I really enjoyed the wildflowers. So much I bought an identifying guide book.

The trail is reopened after the fatal mauling.
Be bear aware; this trail is part of the bears home area, bring bear spray, make noise, dont hike alone and stay together.

The trail itself is well maintained, easy to follow and clean. The last section you need to cross a boulder field, watch your step, and take your time. The first bridge is roughly half way there. We had no issue with bugs but still brought bug spray.

It is a long walk bring enough water and snacks/lunch. don't forget to bring your trash out with you.

Spectacular hike, with amazing views :) When it came to the fork in the trail we went right, which was a good decision for us. It is a bit longer but not as steep of climb! Then on the way back down we came the other way which was nice cause we were cold and wanted to get down faster. Overall it took us 3.5 hours which included a decent break when we ate lunch :) Trails are kept nicely and other than the first short section, the trail is nice and open so no chance of running into bears.

Steep steep to the top, but so worth it! Went down the easier way, and that helped a lot.

My favorite part of this hike was the top of the cliffs section. Great views of the glacier and very lush at the end of July. We decided to end our hike with about 20 minutes left to the end of the trail due to crummy weather.

Good trail, really popular. Went at end of July, the flowers down by the glacier were beautiful.

Straight up you go but worth the views at the top. Cloudy day but could wait a minute as the clouds passed in and out for clearer views. Saw no bears. A memorial bench about 1/3 the way up and abundant wildflowers about 1/2 the way up where you can expect a short break in the steep elevation climb. 2 and 1/2 hours up and 2 down with a stop for lunch on the way back.

First time ever today. So awesome! The views are spectacular.

We completed this trail yesterday with my 5 year old.

The first .75 to 1 mile is a steady climb up. Once at the top if you want to get to the lake go left and follow the marked trail. if you go right there's a nice view after maybe 5 min.

The trail is easy to follow, if in spots mildly pushed in by plants. Bring bug spray.

The trail offers some beautiful views and isn't difficult. It is a popular trail so you most likely won't be the only one out there.

Hiked up to the pass . Ate lunch at grey lake and saw some mountain goats and ptarmigan. Nice place to camp by the lakes . Some bikers but few hikers up to the pass.

This was a difficult trail. Pretty much straight the whole way up with few switch backs. Trail was not super well marked at times but was still fairly easy to follow. Worth it for the incredible views at the top. Lots of flowers blooming when we hiked (end of July). Took up about 5ish hours total. Definitely glad we brought snacks and plenty of water.

Foggy but beautiful! 3 or 4 amazing waterfalls and the cabin is super cool as well. Next time I’m for sure going to check out the glacier on the right. No bear sightings and no bear poop

well maintained trail! it took my friend and i just under 4 hours to complete with hanging at the top for a little. it’s a constant but not severe incline.

Deep woods walk. We walked into a large bull moose!

Didn't really enjoy the upper section of the trail because it was like walking in a tunnel. The Lakes side portion of the trail was on a dirt road shared with ATV's and mountain bikes

Had 4hrs to complete this trail up and down before the last shuttle back to Seward. I accomplished it at a quick, relentless pace with my 40lb pack to boot. Even took a 15 min rest and chat at the little shelter up top. Beautiful trail and a great workout. Most will want to give themselves 5-6hrs minimum based on fitness and whether it’s a leisure hike.

July 27. Awesome hike. When you reach the fork in the trail, I would recommend going right towards Crow Pass for better views.

On this trail you see several waterfalls, the lake at the top, and don’t miss the glacier shortly past the lake. We also saw a black bear in the valley. Great hike.

My favorite hike ever.

Amazing. Made it to the shelter and the fog settled in. Beautiful views and well groomed trail. The meadows were amazing with flowers in bloom. Saw Marmots but no bears. Last part of trail we slagging through some snow but trail well marked. Shelter was very cool and we stopped the hike there as fog was too thick to see much beyond. Blue ice glaciers were massive and very picturesque. Saw some people hiking on Exit Glacier which was cool to see. Not too many people. Would recommend anytime.

Beautiful, very quiet and beautiful when you hike to the top to the glacier and look over the water.

it was completely cloudy so you couldn't see anything higher than Marmot meadow, but the views we did have were really nice and the trail was nice as well

Definitely a good workout hike. Trekking poles would definitely help on the way down. Beautiful view from the top.

new to anchorage, took my boyfriend and I about 5 hours. beautiful views but you can see the highway most of the time, was great to be able to bring the dog along. didn't see any bears. no snow on the trail July 2018

Hiked it yesterday with my husband 3 kids and dog. Was an awesome hike and the view at the top was amazing!!
