This is a short access path to a rocky beach, not a hike. The beach area is great, not crowded. Lots of rocks to explore with no climbing required. We were there while the tide was out. Lots of tide pools and cool rocks exposed. Might not be as good during high tide. Tie this into a trip to Bass Harbor light house. you can easily spend an hour or so exploring the rocks in each place to make a nice easy afternoon outing.

Nice easy loop with good views from Great Head Summit. We did it after Beehive Trail so it was a great cool down after that amazing hike.

Great easy hike for taking photos and seeing some of the best of Acadia.

Beautiful trail with gorgeous views around Jordan Pond. As at most popular spots, parking was tough when we arrived at ~10:30. We went clockwise and about 1/5 of the way in, encountered a some easy portions on split logs to keep you out of boggy paths; if someone comes from the other way, one party must yield. A little easy scrambling over some rocks and boulders. Mostly easy paths and a couple bridges. No bikes or wheelchairs. My boys took a quick detour up to bubble rock and met us back at Jordan Pond House for lunch. Skip the heavily-hyped $4 popovers if you are on a budget. Saw loons, frogs, fish, gulls, and chipmunks. Heard squirrels. Fairly busy on this hike, but not annoyingly. Only heard street traffic only as we completed the east side.

Awesome!

This is a road biker paradise.. Parked @Sand Beach lot... Began the 22 mile loop there @8am... It has it all, scenery, well paved roads, some challenging hills... About 17 miles of the loop is a 2 lane one way traffic so plenty of room to bike...you also have the option of adding Cadillac mountain summit (extra 5.5 miles), very challenging, all uphill and the downhill can be treacherous, too many tight turns and you'll be slamming on your brakes all the way down with a huge intersection at the bottom.... All said, at least the loop is a must.

very easy. great scenery.

Super easy walk. We were here about 2 hours before high tide and the tide pools had lots of fascinating things to see. Enough rocky coastline to walk down and get away from the crowds by the sandy part of the beach. Would love to bring our kids here next time.

Our first All Trails hike and review. This was challenging for this family of five, but no regrets. I would not recommend for anyone who is in very bad shape or with heart or severe back issues. We took 2.5 hours but I’m sure fitness hikers could do it in half that time. We parked on Route 102 and parked along the road near the small Echo Lake lot (toilet shack right there!). Trailhead lot is on east side of road. Beautiful views of Somes Sound. Even though you might be loathe to climb down to the waterside, take the well marked down and back trail just after the Man O War creek. We missed the MOW waterfall into the water, so research this so you don’t follow suit. The fire road trail back to the road was dull, but welcomingly easy.

Wonderful views that you can only find along the coast of Maine!

Great walk easy paved path, they were making some repairs while we were there. Took the baby in the hiking pack and had no worries. Lots of scenic spots and plenty of benches.

The main path is a mostly flat, boring gravel path alongside a road. Every 100 ft or so there are small capillary paths that lead to magnificent cliffside views, each with its own magic. It’s worth taking each diversion.

Great trail for views and young families. Wide short trail to the water.

Nice walk. Easy for all ages and great for dogs!

Beautiful scenery! Add on the bubbles for extra fun!

This is one of my favorite things to do in Acadia National Park but again I missed the sunset or sunrise from here on this trip. The view from the summit of Cadillac Mountain and from anywhere along this summit loop is absolutely memorable. One thing I did differently about this trip is to bring along a nice 70-300mm zoom lens so I was able to bring far away subject closer on this latest trip.

great way to see the world beneath you..breathtaking. the trail itself is easy.

Beautiful hike. Very easy, but also very busy.

if you stay on the trail it's an easy trail but the views will not disappoint!!

Lovely stroll. My husband and I 2alked the path and loved looking out into the harbor to one side and historical building and sites on the other. Very easy and some climbing spots if you are adventurous.

I honestly can’t say enough about this trail. It’s stunning. That said, it gets crowded as it’s easy. If you’re doing the loop, go early.

I left from the restaurant at 1pm and went up the east side and to the Bubbles Connector and up Pemetic then back down to the restaurant. While the second half of my loop was quite difficult the first part is entirely flat with most of the way walking on boards across the lake brush.

Be very careful to not step off the boards. If another group is coming or passing, step on a nearby rock and not the brush.

Wasn't at all what I expected. ztook the shuttle, walked .6 miles to parking lot and then down to the shore. Could only see lighthouse if you climbed around others on the rocks. The poor people living there must feel like they are on exhibit. Been there, done that. Wanted ride pools, but there is no way to really see that here.

Great hike. Loved the plank trail and rocks. My family really enjoyed this hike!

Lovely, easy walk, more like a stroll. Some 12-15’ ledges, but the path is wide enough to keep kids from the edges. Some easy access points to get down to the rock/water joining. Shaded walk back to Main Street at the end of the Path.
Great pictures of the islands.
