Loved it!

The trail was uphill but not too strenuous and the falls were spectacular, cascading and dropping for 100+ feet (saw shortly after a good rain). Definitely avoid the other fork to the pond, we hiked maybe 4-5 miles on it before we decided to turn around - the trail was pretty poor and had to walk around fallen trees and bushwack brush fairly frequently.

Very steep!!!! You’re basically scouring the cliff by using thin metal bars to help you up. If you’re bad with heights this is not the trail for you

A beautiful little trail that overlooks the craggy seawall. It’s pretty much the definition of Maine’s coastline.

My pal and I woke up at 4AM and watched the sunrise over the sea. However, in the summer months, be sure to prepare for mosquitoes as they love to hang around the seaweed.

Was looking for a hike for me and my dog as the family was skiing Mt. Snow. This is about a 20 minute drive from Mt. Snow and it has off road parking and allows dogs. Both big pluses. I would say it's a moderate hike in the winter as there is a mixture of snow/ice. Make sure to bring your spikes and/or hiking poles. It was a beautiful/peaceful hike. The trek up definitely raised my heart rate. There is a fire tower at the top and the folks up top said it had great views but unfortunately my dog wasn't up for the climb. Otherwise, the views were okay since the foliage was off the trees but nothing spectacular. The loop took about 1 1/2 hours.

Killer view from the top of the fire tower. We entered the trail behind Vermont Distillers Inc for a moderately inclined hike that could be completed by anyone in decent shape. The hike up probably took 35 minutes. Absolutely worth the trip.

group of us did this hike several years ago in the summer! the views and weather were great, but the pond at the base of the summit was quite cold to swim in. would love to do it again when I visit the east coast.

Hiked 1/1/19. Muddy in the beginning, a few water crossings as it rained day before. Very much worth the view at the end though.

Really great views from the top. Although I agree this deserves a "hard" designation due to the steapness and iron rungs, it is quite a short loop. It took us under 20 minutes to reach the summit from the parking lot so we had to add a couple other peaks to our route to fill our time. A fun short hike.

The beginning of this trail is terrifying for someone afraid of heights! I froze on a ledge at one point, which was such a strange thing to happen to me. I wouldn’t do the hike again, but give it 5 stars for the challenge and the amazing view.

A great way to spend a few hours. Super-easy walk. Gorgeous views of the water.

Completed this hike on a warm day in late December. No crowds and no cars.

Pack an extra layer for the top. Prepare for wind and exposure. All in all its a very nice and beautiful little loop.

Completed this hike on a warm day in late December. There are two options in winter, the trail and the road.

I attempted the trail however the ice made it impossible without crampons. Taking the road is a very nice route although it adds some milage. 5 miles one way and 10 miles round trip taking the road.

Pack an extra layer for the top. Prepare for some wind and exposure. All in all its a very nice and beautiful hike.

Fabulous break from skiing. Easy trail beautiful waterfall. A bit icy after the warm rainy weather. Too much dog poop on the walkway.

Beautiful hike with amazing views! Challenging in some areas, but doable. We took a detour at the end and had lunch at the Jordan Pond House which made for a great end of hike reward!

Excellent.

This hike was absolutely gorgeous. The perfect winter hike! There’s two ends to the trail. And a loop that allows you to take the road back to your car if desired. Worth every step...

great trail, too many people

Completed this as a winter hike. Little bitter rougher hike with snow on the ground. Did the hike in regular boots with "Stabil" slip on traction from L.L. Bean ($26/each). Hike length is correct about 1.4 miles from trail head. The hike was moderate. Great view of the frozen falls at the end. The trip was definitely initely worth the pay off.

Beautiful views during this hike, especially if you go during autumn. I would highly recommend. Foggy days you can’t see too much when you get high enough, but a neat experience!

Incredibly beautiful. I got engaged this October on this trail!!! You’re hiking alongside the ocean the entire time and if you take a little detour off of the path you can hop along the rocky coast for an even better adventure.

Wild blueberrys everywhere

Great hike! Not to difficult either. If you do this trail definitely take the short Cadillac Cliffs loop!

Great views and super easy trail! We did this one last due to low morale from beehive and south ridge trail. But it was definitely worth the hike. Perfect for beginners!

Wonderful views on this hike! I would call it rock climbing or bouldering instead! Such a thrill and adrenaline rush being on the edge of a cliff climbing high up. Some of the rocks and iron rungs were icy, so I would not advise this during the end of fall season. Dangerous but worth it! Would definitely do again in the summer time!

The falls are worth the otherwise average hike.

Probably a 2-3* for serious hikers, but a beautiful fall color hike before 'tea and popovers' at the JP House.

Up to the summit and back - thoroughly enjoyed! Good, but not overly challenging, hike for a pair of geezers. One week past the 'peak color season,' and the colors and views were amazing. Perfect setup for a couple of drafts and snacks at a brew-pub back in Bar Harbor.

My favorite of Acadia. A fun trail with the ladders and so beautiful.
