A beautiful little trail that overlooks the craggy seawall. It’s pretty much the definition of Maine’s coastline.

My pal and I woke up at 4AM and watched the sunrise over the sea. However, in the summer months, be sure to prepare for mosquitoes as they love to hang around the seaweed.

I hiked this trail with my wife and pup at the end of December. The pine trees make the area beautiful even over winter, but I would love to see it in the summer. There were only 3 other hikers on the trail, probably in part because it was 15 degrees outside. It was very manageable for a dog. We only had a few patches of ice, but if there is recent snowfall or freezing rain it could be treacherous.

Completed this hike on a warm day in late December. No crowds and no cars.

Pack an extra layer for the top. Prepare for wind and exposure. All in all its a very nice and beautiful little loop.

Incredibly beautiful. I got engaged this October on this trail!!! You’re hiking alongside the ocean the entire time and if you take a little detour off of the path you can hop along the rocky coast for an even better adventure.

Great views and super easy trail! We did this one last due to low morale from beehive and south ridge trail. But it was definitely worth the hike. Perfect for beginners!

Quick great hike. The road to this trail it’s close in the winter, you just have to walk extra 0.4 miles to get to the trail head. Beautiful views of the lake and ocean sites of the mountains

Great hike, went with my husband and one year old son (he was in a backpack carrier). Great views, wasn’t too long, and quiet.

This was a fun hike. There are great views. We simply did the loop counter-clockwise from the parking area along the highway. Be aware that once you reach the top of the South Bubble, the trail continues down the face of the Bubble; it is steep and a lot of bouldering is involved until you get down to Jordan Pond.

Views are great, but really crowded. Tourist spot.

Great trail for intermediate/advanced hikers. Not suitable for young kids as there are parts of the descent that require longer arms and legs to reach the footholds. The ascent is quick but steep with lots of nicely kept stone steps. Descent was longer but had the breathtaking views around every corner. Check out the waterfall overlook at the end of the Acadia trail. Man-o-war trail on the way back was a dirt road. Whole loop took us (21, F) just under two hours. Would definitely recommend as a warm up to grasp whether someone would be comfortable with some of the harder, more well known loops like beehive or precipice.

Make sure you do the whole loop, not just the shortest (steepest) climb to the tower or you'll miss the amazing views on the .7 section.

Steep in the beginning but not too difficult. An amazing place to watch the sunset without the crowds of Cadillac Mountain! Loved getting to climb up a ways on the fire tower too.

It’s popular for a reason! Crowded but it’s pretty awesome to be hiking so close to the ocean all the way. Very easy trail and a lot of fun!

Incredible. There are some steep sections of stone steps but I wouldn’t say this hike is too difficult. Took us about an hour to summit and half an hour down, though I don’t think we did the whole loop. Even on a rainy day, the views from the top are unmatched in the park.

Views are amazing but this is a HEAVILY tracked trail along a main road. Mostly flat.

Breathtaking views of the ocean!

We did this “by accident” while hiking Jordan pond - Best decision!! So much fun. Views are unreal. Somewhere between medium/hard.

Though it’s said to be a “must see”, parking is not clearly marked on the way up, the top lot is tourist mayhem. “Trail” is a walking path with lots of people. Good to check it off the list, but not our favorite spot.

Compared to the other trails in the area, I would rate this as moderate, not hard. We did it as an up and back, took about an hour. The views were stellar. Rocks were slick from the rain.

Brought my 80 pound lab mix and he did great. A few spots going down that I had to carry him off the rocks to keep going.

My uncle bob is a rock star.

Yep, the description is definetly for the carriage trail NOT the Hadlock Brook Trail which was at the end pretty challenging as it rained the day before and was very slippery. Went up with our 2 Suisse Mountain dogs. They loved it. This is not an easy trail. This description is for the carriage trail which is an easy „road „ for bikers.

Stunning views, but very crowded.

Approached from the Jordan Pond trail traveling counterclockwise, very steep rock scramble ascent with some sketchy parts especially when wet. The view is well worth it in my opinion and it's a fun trail, maybe not for those nervous of heights. We descended down the less steep portion and connected to complete the Jordan Pond loop. I think the first part is pretty technical and should be considered hard, not moderate.

Started at Otter Point and walked north with my husband and girls (7 and 10). Good walk, not too easy, with beautiful views the whole way to thunder hole. We walked there and back and that was perfect.

South Bubble was sooo much fun we started from Jordan pond and went counterclockwise to get there. We did have our two Jack Russell’s with us to explore the unknown. We started to ascend and quickly realized we were out of shape ... not the girls tho they were loving every minute of the climb! It was very challenging but sooo incredible the girls were able to hop up every rock tho we did have to lift them up some of the more massive/tight rocks formations but the four of us made it up and back down the bubble with flying colors! We loved it!!!

Absolutely stunning, moderate trail. Some areas can be a bit slick coming up, but overall, not too much of a challenge. SPECTACULAR views.

this needs to be retitled the Hadlock Carriage Path trail loop. Calling it the Hadlock Brook loop trail is deceivibg as the Hadlock Brook Trail is a moderate to severe trail not suited for inexperienced hikers, ill equipped hikers or anyone not in good condition. We took THAT trail believing yhat was what was described here.

Moderate- Hard trail, we did the trail counter clockwise as recommended. I would rather climb up the tough spots then go down, which works out going counter clockwise.
Great views on the way up and at the top.
Dog friendly, you may have to lend a boost here and there.
Plan on 2.5 hours.

Great hike! Recommend doing Jordan Pond Loop counter clockwise. The rock scramble is fun, it’s less crowded because most people are starting the opposite way and you have amazing views straight out the gate. Once you’re at the top, you’ll see Bubble Rock then descent down the other side where you’ll have much more space and get rewarded with a shaded trail!!
