Easy hike/walk around Jordan Pond. Parking was easy early in the morning, however was filling up by the time we finished. The lake views are wonderful with such clear water and the Bubbles in view. Heard the loons, bit they kept out of sight.

Amazing hike. I did it with my two younger sons. Would recommend not to do the hike if you have anybody under the age of 10.

An easy, level hike. Jordan Pond is one of THE most popular Acadia attractions: get there early. If parking fills up at the Jordan Pond House use the boat landing parking lot just down the road. Excellent hiking every season.

This was such an enjoyable walk around the pond. Nice loop open to the pond and into the trees. Then we stopped to have popovers and ice cream at the Jordan Pond House. Totally recommend it. Great afternoon!

Less crowded than most major summit hikes in Acadia. Excellent views. A little long as there is several up and down (I prefer steeper climbs), however definitely worth it!

Easy. Scenic

another great trail walk great views

Excellent, but need to be in decent shape and have a sense of adventure. As others have said, do not take kids and you must wear hiking shoes. One in our group has on running shoes which supported him fine but the soles were torn up by the end. This is climbing and rock scrambling more than a hike. We got there at 9am and found parking, but trail was starting to get crowded. Views from the top were amazing, also a nice breeze and perfect picnic spot to rest at the top. We came back along North Ridge to Black & Orange which meets up with the bottom of Precipice back to the parking lot. If you are tired, I'd suggest just taking the .2 Mile trail down to Park Loop Rd and walking back along the road. Orange & Black is all rock stairs, up and down, along the side of the mountain. Not easy after the climb up. This is one of the most difficult trails I've ever hiked, a bucket list hike for sure.

Nice easy loop with good views from Great Head Summit. We did it after Beehive Trail so it was a great cool down after that amazing hike.

Beautiful trail with gorgeous views around Jordan Pond. As at most popular spots, parking was tough when we arrived at ~10:30. We went clockwise and about 1/5 of the way in, encountered a some easy portions on split logs to keep you out of boggy paths; if someone comes from the other way, one party must yield. A little easy scrambling over some rocks and boulders. Mostly easy paths and a couple bridges. No bikes or wheelchairs. My boys took a quick detour up to bubble rock and met us back at Jordan Pond House for lunch. Skip the heavily-hyped $4 popovers if you are on a budget. Saw loons, frogs, fish, gulls, and chipmunks. Heard squirrels. Fairly busy on this hike, but not annoyingly. Only heard street traffic only as we completed the east side.

Our first All Trails hike and review. This was challenging for this family of five, but no regrets. I would not recommend for anyone who is in very bad shape or with heart or severe back issues. We took 2.5 hours but I’m sure fitness hikers could do it in half that time. We parked on Route 102 and parked along the road near the small Echo Lake lot (toilet shack right there!). Trailhead lot is on east side of road. Beautiful views of Somes Sound. Even though you might be loathe to climb down to the waterside, take the well marked down and back trail just after the Man O War creek. We missed the MOW waterfall into the water, so research this so you don’t follow suit. The fire road trail back to the road was dull, but welcomingly easy.

Great trail for boulder scrambles. There are definitely a few sections that aren’t for the faint of heart. If you fear heights, take the Orange & Black path to Champlain Ridge Trail

Beautiful scenery! Add on the bubbles for extra fun!

Great trail. I went early to beat the crowds - 5:30am in the summer - worthwhile, as it most likely backs up with traffic due to the amount of ladders and tight spaces.
Definitely more of a climb w/ Great views at the end for reward.

Beautiful hike. Very easy, but also very busy.

if you stay on the trail it's an easy trail but the views will not disappoint!!

This might just be my favorite hike to date! Once I found the trail head, it was absolutely amazing the entire way. Unbelievable views from every direction at the summit. Challenging climb the majority of the way... a tab bit tough on the knees, but well worth it!

I honestly can’t say enough about this trail. It’s stunning. That said, it gets crowded as it’s easy. If you’re doing the loop, go early.

I left from the restaurant at 1pm and went up the east side and to the Bubbles Connector and up Pemetic then back down to the restaurant. While the second half of my loop was quite difficult the first part is entirely flat with most of the way walking on boards across the lake brush.

Be very careful to not step off the boards. If another group is coming or passing, step on a nearby rock and not the brush.

Great hike. Loved the plank trail and rocks. My family really enjoyed this hike!

Jordan Pond is one of my favorite destination in Acadia. The scenic view from this pond is absolutely memorable and I've done this trail on every visit to Acadia. The air is fresh, the water is refreshing and the view is simply spirit rejuvenating. The only thing I have been meaning to do is to rent a kayak or canoe out for a few hours. I really like to see the scenery from the water's point of view.

Sweet Scramble Hike! Myself, my bride and 12 and 9 yr old boys. Boys loved it. Couple of areas of exposure made them a bit nervous, but steel rungs to hold onto proved to be the support they needed. Took a little over an hour to the top and we took the ridge trail down.

This was crazy cool, fun, and challenging. I was stupid and tried to do it alone. Some hikers asked that I join them so I did. Do it at your own pace and it’s totally fun. Some parts are “scary” but it’s totally in your head. Wear good hiking boots.

sketchy for sure. lots of exposure. don't do if you are scared at all. don't take little kids. not worth the risk. but def one of the coolest hikes I have ever been on. took the loop to beehive and back to the beach. if u like a little adventure don't skip this. you will love it

nice walk. pleasant and easy

had to turn back as we approached sand beach overlook section on great head trail as it was too steep and rocky for my dog to navigate. we had started at schooner head parking lot and got about 3 quarters of way around loop clockwise

The trail is open. We hiked on July 24 and it has been open for a while. Very hard climb. Definitely hard.
