Wonderful challenging trail. Would like to come back and backpack sometime.

Good trails well maintained.

We ended up on this trail a little bit by accident. The parking lots at our first choice trail (Doudy Draw), just east of El Dorado Springs, were completely full. We arrived at the park around 10:30 am and parking was already tough. Remember to go all the way up to (or close to) the Visitor Center to start this hike. It’s very steep for the first mile and was annoyingly crowded, but the views get amazing quickly! We went up about two miles and the second mile was much more pleasant than the first. Definitely be careful on the way down as the gravel is very loose and I totally bit it. No snow, ice, or mud on the trail. It’s a great hike if you are in decent shape and the views are worth it but I wish we went earlier to avoid the crowds.

It is a nice easy hike. The evergreen summit was fantastic. The trails through the three sisters is good but not great.

4/7/18

Snow was not a concern for the most part, but I will say there was about a mile long stretch where I wish I had my spikes. still totally doable, but would have made things a little more enjoyable.

with the warm weather coming I assume beautiful conditions from here on out.

Wonderful hike great views along the way. Very dry not muddy at all! Enjoy

worth the hike! the last mile is tough but the views are spectacular. This is my favorite hike in Colorado.

pretty easy and relaxing trails. was muddy and icy/snowy in some spot, but regular shoes would survive just fine. the view from the top was amazing.

3/31/18. Trail was mostly clear of snow in the sun spots, where there was snow, you didn’t need micro spikes. Not many views, but a nice hike

Back side of the trail was still pretty snowy but no need for spikes!

Fantastic hike! Challenging and fun hike! Trail is in great shape!

Great trail to run. Starts and ends steep, more hiking then running. Wasn’t that muddy, only a few snowy parts after the snow fall. Really nice overlook of the Denver skyline 2 miles in or so.

One of the best trails I've ever done. We did this trail in early September. Weather was nice and cool and we saw 4 moose while on the trail. We could not finish the trail because they camped up just off the side of the trail. Looking forwarsld to going back and completing it

Nice and easy trails with lots of families and dogs. Well maintained and no ice.

Back to one of our favorite spots close to Denver. Patchy ice but was able to make it to Windy Peak without extra traction. Great snow capped views today. The stream along Mountain Lion is still frozen over making for some interesting sound effects. As usual it was pretty quiet. This is a great hike if you don't want to drive far form Denver but still want to avoid the crowds.

Huge fan of this trail; it isn’t easy, but it’s very much worth it. Spectacular views and scenery, and it’s not far at all from Boulder. Highly recommended.

Hiked entire Mountain Lion trail plus went up to Windy Peak (amazing views). Trails mostly clear. Can easily do without any additional traction, but there's a few spots (no more than 50-60 yard stretches) that it may be nice to have, but don't have to have traction.

Bunch of switchbacks in the beginning. Very nice hike in the spring. The streams are definitely worth the complete hike

This trail was spectacular. We parked at the Brainard lot because the road was closed. Three miles to the trailhead, but pretty and easy. Once we hit the trailhead we slapped on our snowshoes and were on our way. Nobody other than a cross country skier was out there. The trail wasn’t overly difficult but we felt the hills. We’re doing it again end of March. Beautiful trail for snowshoeing.

Super dog friendly and beautiful trail. Incline is steady in parts and more severe in others but overall it’s not that difficult. Rewards are the view at brothers lookout.

Much steeper and more difficult than expected , but it’s a beautiful hike with wonderful views! Busy trail until you get a bit further out. It’s very steep most of the way up!

Hiked 3/8. Snow from the Moffat Tunnel mostly packed down first half. Lots of snow second half, recommend show shoes. We made it to the top without, with lots of post holing. About 2/3 into the hike, you come into an opening with 2-3 different paths, stay to the right, you will soon hike in between 2 sawed-off tree stumps, continue up hill through the small canyon to the lake! Amazing hike, beautiful trail! Ps Watch out for cross country skiers.

Great hiking. No ice. Not overly crowded early.

I so enjoyed this amazing journey to find myself. Make sure you don't listen to a sad audio book ;(

I hope you have the day of your life and later enjoy an Ice Cold Mountain Dew. This reminds me of a story I used to tell. I was in the mountains, I saw a bald eagle capture a full grown bobcat. They battled to the death for five full minutes, all the while I was chuggin' LITERALLY the. most. refreshing. Ice Cold beverage I've ever had...ICE COLD MOUNTAIN DEW.

hmu @mountaindew

Unfortunately for me and all of the public of this America, the eagle and his prey escaped into the mist.

Was a good trail with some good views at the top. The hike up had a decent amount of ice and some snow. I made it without micro spikes but they would have helped after the first 1.5 miles or so.

One of my favorite hikes of all time, but difficult to navigate due to snow unless you go in July or August. Absolutely gorgeous. The little lake at the top is quite a climb but worth it.

Gorgeous. You absolutely need snowshoes. The road to the trailhead is closed so tack in another 6 miles rt. Awesome trail. Nobody- other than us and a skier out there.

Awesome, have hiked/run for a long time, never gets old. Great trail.
