Wouldn’t call it a hike, more like a walk up to a nice view of the coast. Great for rock climbing at all levels though, from the 60ft vertical straight up with virtually nothing but small finger holes to the 30ft with terrain you could scramble on without a harness. There is also anchors at the top.

A lot of new construction happening. There’s a rope swing on the side that’s fun.

Really neat nature walk (considering it's roughly 0.2 miles one way lol) it's a very interesting cave. Despite it being really short it's a definite must visit as the surrounding area is really interesting as well. Got to see a group setting up the area for a future Toyota commercial so that was also cool.

Amazing. Beautiful hike. Small waterfalls but fun to climb them

Totally under-estimated this trail. Went after a rain storm in January. Clean, barely any dog poop. Saw three people while on it (don't doubt that it gets busy during weekends). Narrow path at certain points. Rocky. Steep elevation in some areas. The "waterfall" was a trickle... Beautiful tree grove.

A pretty short and neat trail. Just for some walking and great for dogs. The cave is pretty cool and small. Would go back again.

Lots of parking if you come around 7-7:30. After that it gets packed on a Saturday.

Small little hike with beautiful ocean views. Happy we could bring our dog on the trail, but unfortunately couldn’t take him on the beach.

New Year’s Day hike, beautiful place. Did a total of 6 miles, about 750 foot of elevation. Good rock scrambling at the end of each trail, where someday I hope to see waterfalls running. Dog people watch out first little bit of the Elsmere (sp?) trail, near the parking lot, there was a crazy amount of broken glass. I also recommend parking in the first, upper, lot if you can since each time I’ve been there some idiot is doing donuts in the gravel lot spraying rocks all over nearby cars.

Fuck ya

nice and easy local trail

Short and crowded. A nice walk if you happened upon it accidentally; not worth going out of your way for.

Clear trail to follow. Pretty flat mellow hike. Some shade. Arrive early if you like less traffic on trail. Several mountain bikes and trail runners. First time here so I’m not sure how it was before the fires. This was still a very scenic hike and will only get better as the area recovers.
MASH set survived.

This area was so much fun to hike! Although the recent fires have torched a lot of the greenery, there were lots of great spots for rock climbing and going off of the main trails, a nice river and cool rock formations. I’m a new hiker with an athletic background and this Trail was generally easy :) Lots it open space, I imagine it gets pretty hot during the summer. I got here around 8 am and left around 12 pm.

Easy hike and nice scenery around the lake.

Super beautiful, especially at sunset

An easy trail with great photos I have taken. Only problem was geese. Our dog ran off and started chasing them, and we had to yell and slam him down 3 times.

Parking costs $6 dollars for 2 hours.

Honestly, the "hike" itself -- a short, gentle climb up a very wide fire road -- is nothing to write home about.

But, Holy Mackerel, Batman! It leads... to the Batcave! At least in the campy 60's TV series.

It's still a fun place to take out-of-town visitors or young kids. In addition to the small cave, stone labyrinth, and views of the Hollywood sign, you have a good chance of seeing some kind of shoot, as the caves remain a popular filming location.

A recent storm washed out several trails. I spoke with a lifeguard and right now the only option is to walk over the rocky beach - difficult but fun (I had my dog). Parking is $6 for each 2 hrs, free for seniors 62 and older and ADA.

Unfortunately, the Morrison ranch house, was lost in the Woolsey Fire. A true piece of southern California history. It had survived over 120 years. A picture of what remains at the site has been posted.

Great hike that is close and beautiful.

This is a short hike with a bit of history. The Caves were leftover from mining operations in the 1920s and later used in the campy Batman TV series. Remember... "To the Batcave"?

Nice little hike. Incredible ocean views.

It’s beautiful but very easy. I wish it was longer.

What a beautiful trail along the rocky coastline, well traveled trails, wide in some spots. Lovely natural landscapes too.

I’ve ridden this trail a few times. It’s beautiful. I’ve hiked it too. I love the parts with open shade. When hiking you can get much farther back than you can on horseback. A great easy hike anytime, but even better when the water is flowing.

not really a trail but if you near it do it. the view is awesome from the house. great for all ages because it's so easy

Great hike, but you may have to swim a small section to get to the tide pools. We will def come back with swim suits so we can get across to the tide pools next time.
