This was my 2nd time coming here. I love it. I hated outmaneuver underneath the fallen logs from the storm not to long ago. If you have bad knees yes this will be awkwardly painful. Other than that at the ledge it was super windy and cold. Took my group of ladies about 3 hours to finish. The sunset was pretty <3

Went at 1:15pm. Very crowded in parts of the trail but was able to run some on the way up and down. Beautiful views! Worth every bit of traffic!

Not too strenuous and no views going up. Views at the three ledges aren’t as good as surrounding national parks.

No snow or ice on the path at all. It was a little crowded even though we went up around 9am but the view up there was amazing. When we went down around 1pm the parking lot was packed so I would recommend to go there early.

Climbed this one in the winter. Definitely need a 4x4 and snow chains to make it to the TH. Recommended to have knowledge of avalanche safety for the winter route, as there are 3-4 hazardous areas of crossing. Overall, a fair bank for your buck.

2nd time here view still amazing took 2 first timers with us they loved it started 1:35pm -4:40pm stop and took a lot of photos few trees down due to wind storm night before but trail was still busy

Perfect moderate hike. There was some snow at the top but it wasn’t a problem. Nice view of North Bend and Mt Si.

This is my 2nd hike to Rattlesnake Ledge. Beautiful well maintained trail, no ice or sleet. Fairly easy hike to the top for moderate to experienced hikers. I went at 8:30, wasn’t as crowded. The view was amazing! Very windy at the top, but I took a break to eat and the scenery was just wow! Additionally, bathrooms are well maintained and stocked. Unlike many other places that I have hiked to. I will definitely go back again.

Great rewards for such a short hike! Only 2 miles to the top, but still a workout. No snow or ice. Trail is in good shape and bathrooms at the trailhead we're clean and stocked! (Always a plus)

Went on 12/3 at 0730. It was a rainy, windy day. There wasn't much to see from the top, but there was only one other person on the trail! The trail is very well maintained, and I could see myself coming back here to relax by the lake in the summer. Just don't follow the Google maps directions and use the AllTrails map to get to the location. All in all, it was a nice, little workout!

Cold but not too packed!

I went at 630 am this morning and the hike up wasn’t highly trafficked but the way down was really busy around 830am. The view was amazing though, especially at sunrise and I would highly recommend. I would give this more of a moderate rating rather than easy. It’s relatively steep on the way up.

A perfect day to start off the New Year 2019, gorgeous views, perfect day to hike...conditions were awesome.

Hiked this back in November. It is very crowded past 0900, so make sure to get there early. Also, there is a much smaller ledge about 10 minutes farther up the trail that allows for a little more seclusion from the crowds.

A week ago I climbed to Stan’s overlook not knowing grand prospect was the same trail. I returned a week later to climb to grand prospect and it got tough those extra two miles because of the snow. Carrying 30 pounds of gear made it tough too I can’t lie. It was beautiful and well worth it.

We started at around 10am and it wasn’t too busy. There were a lot of people on the way down though. Go early if you want to avoid the crowds. There was a little snow at the first ledge.

I completed this hike on late September and it was fairly moderate. Most beginners could reach the ledge without too much duress. The trail was fairly crowded but wasn't unbearable. This is a solid hike and is suitable for most!

Pretty solid hike with great views right around sunrise. Watch for Goats near the top portion.

Hiked 12/24/18, it was a surprisingly clear day allowing for a beautiful view. No snow at the top of the trail, but you could see some other mountains in the distance with snow caps. There’s plenty of parking, but I would recommend going in the morning if you can. The trail itself and the peak tends to get pretty crowded by noon.

We did this hike on 12/22 and started at around 10:30 AM. The lower gate was open but the second gate was closed. We were the only car parked at the second gate and could tell from the foot prints that there were only two other people in front of us going up the road. The snow starts on the road about mid way between the first and second gate and covers the ground all the way up to the top.

The hike itself is great. Fresh deep powder all the way up. Beautiful scenes the entire way. It is cold though you will need good winter/snow gear.

When we arrived at the top we found the tower was boarded up and closed. There was a small opening at the bottom of the door so we crawled in and found the other two people that had went up that day. They told us that earlier in the morning the lower gate had been closed as well so they had to make the climb from the Heather Lake parking area.

The top was beautiful but very windy and quite cold so be prepared.

Famous trail very well maintained. I vi to her for another mile passed the ledge viewing area. The trail keeps going for another probably 10 miles. Hopefully will have the endurance for this one day soon

Great hike, but it can be crowded.

Crowded trail, but very good hike overall

pretty views and great trail for beginner to intermediate hikers

way to over crowned its like the pumpkin spice latte of hiking.

Over crowded trail.

Beautiful hike.. a little snow as we hit grand prospect, too cloudy to see any views today. Many mtn bikes but they had their own trails that we'd cross paths every so often.

We did this hike on Sunday 12/2 between 10am-2pm, the actual road to the hike was uphill and lots of potholes in the beginning but it does get better and turn into an actual road closer to the top of the trail. Snow on the entire trail, gets a bit deeper closer to the top about 1 inch of snow. Not very crowded, saw more people as we were coming down than going up. The last section of the hike is like a mini rock climb to get to the tower you have to climb up some rocks and then climb the ladder to the tower, bring good snow gear if you plan on going to the very top at this time very cold and icy! Great hike overall, one of our favorites. Bring northwest forest pass!!

One of my favorites of the Seattle Tinder pic circuit. The views at the top are so so amazing and the hike is a bit challenging.
