Great hike with a couple of beautiful views and cool boulder formations along the way.

We really enjoyed the views! Could have been marked better . Some very steep areas . Hike down with a 9 year-old and a one year old on back pack.

Hiked with my 6 and 10 year olds.

I did not consider this a moderate hike and found it quite easy. Neither of my kids found it difficult either. The only "steep" sections are found in the staircase around the falls and these are short.

The trail is about a mile to the falls and is fairly flat with a gradual incline. There is a stream crossing immediately after the trailhead we managed in the rain to avoid getting wet.

You've reached the falls when you hit a fork in the trail with a sign. The right continues on to Mt. Chocurua and the left heads towards the falls. They meet again after the falls to create a loop. I would avoid the loop by going up and down the staircase. If you head up the left the first or second side trail leads to a wide waterfall with a huge squarish bolder in the middle of the stream. Keep heading down the gorge another 200' to see a tall 50' waterfall. There is also a cut out in the canyon with a large overhang in which you can shelter. We ate lunch here out of the drizzle and dried off our gear.

Although we come to summit Chocorua this was a nice plan B. Had conditions been better and we summited I probably would have by passed the falls and missed out completely.

Great hike. Maps posted to help. Some confusion with the cross trails but stayed on the perimeter trail primarily. Biggest issue were the mosquitoes! Everywhere! I could not stop walking or risk the onslaught. Had to keep moving!

hiked this trail with my 3 kids (ages 8-14yrs). we went up the Eagle Scout trail and the Nature Loop trail and came down the Ledges trail, it was a pretty easy hike and my kids loved the stone tower. it was a bit cloudy when we went but it still had great views. a hike i would recommend for really any age or skill level.

Great trail, mostly easy but with some more challenging spots that make it fun. Amazing views at the top; I definitely need to bring my camera next time! Please be prepared to bring your trash out with you; keep NH trails beautiful!

Great trail. We walked with our 7 and 5 year olds and a toddler in a carrier. It took us almost 5.5 hours as we walked super slow and made a lot of stops along the way. We lost the trail twice - near the same location on the way there and back but found the trail again quite easily. I highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the variety to this hike. We went to the right to start, so up the front ledges. Reading the reviews i was a little nervous about the scramble because i'm not the most confident climber. But i found the ledges fun to climb and my husband only had to help me once. The first half of the trail up was very well marked, looked like someone had recently gone through it and redone it. Going down was a bit tougher (I think their spray paint ran out) but you just had to keep a sharper eye out. Going up the ledges allowed a steady pace with natural breaks up the hill. It looks like if you went up the other way it would just be a straight trek uphill. Would do the hike again.

Enjoyable hike but not much variety to it or views. Did find a bunch of different kinds of mushroom on the path and saw the occasional chipmunk and toads.

Wonderful hike! Views at the top are fabulous and worth the climb. We did it counter clockwise like others suggested and were glad we did! Much easier on the knees to do the steeper part going up. We brought our kids- age 6,8, and 11 and they did fine. Easy to moderate climb.

If your not a regular hiker, this is a moderate hike, we hiked clockwise, pretty steep and uphill with little respite. Views at top were well worth the effort. Would highly recommend this if you have couple of hours to spare

I went last week and it was great! nice little view!

Fun trail, definitely some moderate spots. Be careful as the blazes are not always evident.

Easy with quick beautiful views. Cool water to enjoy. Kid friendly.

Great hike, took us about 2 hours to complete. Beautiful views at the top. Lots of rock “stairs”, our two dogs loved it. We camped at the covered bridge campground which is a 30 second walk away from this trail!

Nice trail for kids and beginning to moderate hikers. Stay left which us steeper but easier footing - come back clockwise in less steep by more rocky trail.
Nice views and dog friendly with swimming hole near parking.

Clean up your pets poop and poop bags. Enjoy this blessing from Mother Earth~

Good sandwiches at the local deli nearby.

A nice quiet, lightly traveled 4 mile hike. My wife and I elected to start up North Mountain Trail, tackling the climb portion first, then come around via Boulder and bring it home via the North Mt Bypass. The 4 mile hike took us novices 2.5 hours, most during the climb section, with a few stops. It is definitely buggy. Fortunately we paid attention to the warnings and lathered up in bug spray. Not much scenery even at the peak of North Mt. Might be better during foliage season.

Did the trail July 16th. We were surprised that the bugs were nonexistent. Did the trail counter clockwise which we thought was the easiest. The payoff is great for the effort only about 1000 ft of elevation. Would do this hike again.

A solid hike

Great views at the top. We did the trail clockwise, and I would recommend it. Not an easy hike (‘moderate’ seems more appropriate)

Very well marked trail, quick and easy hike. I hiked it with a pulled Achilles and it didn’t irritate my calf any further. We started b 8am with 70+ degree weather which was nice. LOTS of blueberries at the top!

Super easy trail and very well marked for the green trail, Great views from the top, you can see the chairlift at the top of Gunstock from the firetower. Very good trail for dogs!

An easy short hike with a great view at the end.

great trail takes me about 45 minutes to complete.

This is a nice, family friendly hike that is not too difficult with nice, if not spectacular views from the ledges. The trail itself is interesting for the large boulders strewn about and some old growth pine and hardwoods. We did the loop clockwise, and I recommend that.
