Easy stroll... Not a great ‘hike’. Lots of people, bikers, joggers, strollers - paved walkway.

No snow on the way up or on the way back down Barr Trail. Wonderful day to do the Incline. Can’t wait for the next one!

Nice Trail. Recommend log pants as the brush overhangs the trail at higher elevations.

Walking

We walked this path on the morning of 4/6/2021. It’s a walk if you want something easy and in town. As of this date, the river bed was dry. Not particularly scenic, not far off the road.

It’s drying out nicely. It’s closer to 4.2 miles of easy hiking. Parking is along the road.

BackpackingIcyMuddySnow

The trail is clearing up quickly. Little snow and ice left. No need for spikes or snow shoes, but trekking poles would help you keep your balance if you hit some of the ice, slush, or mud. We camped at the end of the trail by the waterfalls. The river is frozen in parts but the little fall at the end is stronger than ever. Cold temps overnight but nothing you can’t handle with a decent sleep system and layers.

Overall a pretty fun hike, started off cold and windy but the sun came out and it was a lot of fun! Saw a few different family of deer. Towards the top there was one muddy spot but nothing crazy. A solid little hike

Snow, mud, and trees, as promised, plus a surprise hailstorm. This was a very manageable trail with dog and kindergartener that felt flat-ish. Great if you want a stroll through the forest.
