great hike!!! lots of stairs!!! went early beat the crowds!!!

Great trail and some good mushroom foraging here. Lots of fallen leaves now but a group ahead of us was still able to find a bunch of chanterelle mushrooms. This trail is easier on the moderate spectrum in terms of difficulty level, lots of trail runners here.

Very pretty, easy hike. It's great for a fall/winter hike when the skies aren't as clear. Can't believe how many big and small falls there are.

such a beautiful trail. can't wait to go back

Beautiful trail. Come early morning on workday if possible to avoid crowds.

great hike! sooo much to see. did the hike clockwise, which i recommend especially with kids. the lower loop has so much history and the upper loop has great views.

Serene and perfect for a weekend afternoon

Great views and well maintained path. River was great to dip hands and feet in to cool down.

Unfortunately was really crowded on a warm August day which can be a downer when other people’s loud conversations and kids throwing rocks into the river is not the main point of going into nature.

Other than the too-many-people

Loved doing this trail in early October! Such a beautiful time of year here. The bridge for waterfall viewing was magic. The trail took us about 2 hrs out and back, and was much steeper than I had imagined, but a good workout.

I took my 7 Cubscouts on this trail yesterday. They were all so focused on getting up the steep path as fast as they could that they missed quite a bit of the scenery but I can’t wait to come back with a good camera! It was so beautiful! Definitely best enjoyed in the autumn.

Amazing trail, easy walk with some ascending in some parts (which is good for exercise). This trail is very rewarding!

fun trail

Not sure why this is listed as moderate. Hike is primarily flat and wide making for an easy hike. Lots of interesting railroad history with historical markers. Good hike for kids.

Gorgeous short hike, def go to both upper and lower falls- worth it!

Nice, short trail with great waterfalls at the end!! Be sure to go to both the upper and lower twin falls. The lower one is the taller one that’s straight down, the upper falls turn a few times. Once you get to the bridge to see the upper falls, keep going up a bit to see the top part of them. Very beautiful.

This is a treasure place close to city where provides numerous benefits in order to escape from the busy noise city. You can find a hidden magic place if you want to explore with curiosity. It’s likely good for any season and you can do a good exercise in the fresh air instead of getting gym membership. Save money but boosting our spirit and body! Enjoyable several natural things throughout the pathway.

Great short hike, disappointing waterfall but still nice to see

Maybe this hike is “moderate” if you do the loop counter-clockwise up the steep switchbacks but it was a pleasantly easy hike doing a clockwise route.

Plenty of tunnel openings and historical markers along the way to make the hike a unique one. Unfortunately, you can hear the cars from Highway 2 for most of the trip.

I went the second weekend of September. The fall colors should really pop in a week or two.

T-Mobile cell was available except for the first half mile closest to the trailhead.

Great hike but the signs are a little confusing. The map of the trail on here makes it look like one loop but it seemed like there were multiple trails you could take.

great trail for running, decent foraging. unfortunately came back to my window smashed in after hike. Contrary to signage, there are no cameras over looking the parking lot. Still a beautiful trail though, just be conscientious.

Hiked on 8/4/2018

This is a great place for beginners to hike rain or shine. It was a bit of a challenge for my two gamer children 11/16 yo. The falls are beautiful year round and are best viewed in the spring or after a good rain fall.

Arrive early this is a popular location. The lot was full by the time I made it back to the trailhead.

A discover pass will take care of your parking fee or pay by cc at the trailhead.

I’d agree that it’s a low-moderate hike if there were such a thing. Completely worth the drive out. Beautiful area. Do not skip the short trip down the stairs to the lower falls. Absolutely beautiful.

This is a great hike! Clear trail, lovely forest. I actually wouldn't call it an easy hike. Low moderate? There's a bit of up and down, so if easy for you means flat, this is not that. There is short portion at the beginning that is pretty rolling and easy, leading to the falls view that could be good for families, but beyond that it gets more moderate and the heart rate bumps a little. We did ~8 miles of hard hiking the day before and felt it in the calves. *thumbs up*

2018/07/08 Sunday (Hiking Date). Very good and beautiful river side hike. Good views. It is little challenging and calorie burning. Path is neat and well marked. I would go there again.
