great trails for running, I went before the sun went down and the trails were clear and great for training.

Great trail. Did the blue route, the “rough” part is great. Well marked. Would do this one again.

Great urban park with lots of variety! great for dogs early in the morning. watch out for bears in the spring and coyotes in the fall.

We have never been here before, but decided to make the trip up. 232 is closed so had to be creative to get there but it was well worth it. Great hike, we never saw another person the whole way till we were back near the bottom.

Awesome lookout at the top with a picnic table to eat lunch, which we did. Also lots of dragonflies so no mosquitoes up at the top. So we sat and enjoyed the view.

Well marked trails, easy to hike with some adventure, we did the whole blue ridge loops, we enjoyed the rougher trail area best.

Some mosquitoes but the mostly ate the female half of our group of 2.

We will be back to explore some more.

Trails are pretty clearly marked which is good if you are a beginner. Took the blue trail so ensure you take the climb up to the viewpoint it is well worth it. All around great trip through the woods.

Easy walk with the kids. Lots of cool old stumps and creeks.

Good with the kids, wish we’d had bathing suits for the lake at the end!

Really cool and fun walk from roughly Houston trail down to Fort Pub. Quite relaxing and quiet being by the river. Definitely a must! :)

Took my wife and 2.5yr old for a hike today. It was muddy, but super cute to watch my daughter climb over the exposed roots and climb up the boardwalks over the little streams. Very short hike with some of it on gravel path.

Only nice part is the fact its short. Had one view of the lake for 5 min. It was pretty ugly. Would not go again.

Easy hike alongside the river. We couldn't find the continuation of the trail, it maybe it is better accessible later in the year. River carried a lot of water.

Wonderful escape from the city and it's so close! I ran the blue trail today and found it well marked and so beautiful! Will do again.

Great for walking or running

Lots of variety in terrain. Beautiful forest and a good workout especially if you go to the Helms hut.

Good for kids, even little ones. Took my 6 and 3 year olds and they enjoyed it.

Great Park. a bit of a maze though. Plenty of turtles in the lake and a frisbee golf course too.

Wife and I did it with a 2.5 year old today. Awesome little hike. some delapitaded boardwalks but that just added to the hike. glad to see it hasn't gotten the "4 foot wide gravel upgrade" I've heard of so many other trails going.
Son really liked it. lots of mushrooms and tree fungus to check out. old growth stumps galore. lots of exposed root scrambles. good hike all around. took us 2 hours of slow meandering stop and looking.

Lovely Sunday morning stroll ... or run.

Love this trail. You are surrounded by trees most of the time so even on hotter days you stay on the cooler side. I have done this trail with my stroller without any problems (any roots are easily avoided but it gets a little bumpy when you are going over the bridges). Lots of great scenery to look at. Lots of people on this trail.
