Very beautiful. Lake was frozen solid minus a small portion.

Pretty difficult considering the snow, mud, slush, and ice. However, totally worth it when you get to the top! I will be returning when the trail is dry.

Great trail some rock climbing beautiful views at top.

Love this hike! Beautiful mountain and creek views. Challenging, but awesome if you are looking for a long hike. Well maintained and not crowded.

Great hike, a little harder then we were thinking. Brought two labs along, they got muddy but the Arch gave a nice view and a great place to sit and eat a little snack. The hike it self was out and back, the way there being mostly up hill. I thought it was "moderate" but definitely some slippery rocks this time of year. Wish i had worn my hiking boots, no my old tennis shoes.

Awesome trail. Great for when other trails are wet. This one seems to stay dry when others are not. Quick 7 ish mile ride. Takes under 1.5 hours on a mountain bike. Some challenging spots when climbing. Amazing downhills. Beautiful scenery.

We had a friend in town from Sweden and after coming in Moab for a weekend- we hit the mountains for a quick hike. This was well trafficked for a mid week early June visit.

Not the prettiest hike in RMNP but easy to get to an manage if you have a short amount of time. It is a great drive up, take a hike, and drive out destination.

The Waterfall is very pretty.

One of the most beautiful trails I’ve been on yet. 7.5 miles is very doable even for the most reluctant rookie hiker. Trials are in good shape and there are very few muddy spots. Active trial for hikers and bikers alike.

Brought poles and yak tracks, were very grateful to have them.

Amazing views, great trek. Lake today was frozen, the snow was piled high but the trail itself was packed in most areas.

Nice hike! We went a week ago and the trail was still snowy. Deep snow if you leave the trail but if you stay on it’s packed down enough to walk. None of us wore spikes (very slippery, especially coming down) but we learned our lesson and will def rent or buy some for next time! It was a beautiful hike with views at the top.

Gorgeous hike. Can be heavy traffic on the weekend but still not bad. The view is worth the hike.

Beautiful day on the trail. Even though this is ranked moderate it’s a tough one. The views from the arch are incredible.

Gorgeous hike on a gorgeous day. Spikes were essential up to the Loch, and poles were helpful after the trail splits to Hiyaha. Wind was brisk at the Loch but calm enough to break for a snack. We’d made good time and decided to try for Sky Pond. Definitely a good decision, but snowshoes would have been helpful. Wind was pretty calm at Sky Pond, and the views were fantastic. Definitely recommend doing the full hike in the winter if you haven’t!

This trail starts out going downhill so it's harder to come back than to get to the falls. It can get really busy and the views of the falls aren't really great. You can't get far enough away to really see well. I think the hike is worth the effort but not something I'm dying to do again, like Mills Lake.

Awesome hike! The climb was a fun challenge. Be ready for a crowd.

RMNP is one of my favorite places. This hike was beautiful from beginning to end, I was unable to see the actual falls because of the packed snow. We hiked in a Blizzard the entire time and also lost the trail because it covered peoples footsteps. You can actually climb up to the falls because it is frozen and covered in snow. The sign for Alberta Falls is very small, so you can pass it if not attentive. Bathrooms on the trail head : )

Great day for a hike. Beautiful park. A bit too crowded for me. I got here early so parking was not an issue but there are not a lot of spots to park.

Great hike, although a little crowded on the weekends.

I LOVED the flatirons! This was my first hike in Boulder as someone who was traveling from out of state. The elevation definitely makes this a bit more challenging, though I would say I struggled more with walking the inclined trail than the rocky terrain. Some of the areas were pretty challenging while others weren't so bad. Wear good hiking boots/shoes and you'll be set! The view from the top was fantastic.

Great hike! No issues with the trail when I went Saturday but they put up a fence so you cannot reach the summit anymore. You can still climb up the rock to a ledge to see out, but it’s not as great of a view with the trees out there. Lots of spaces to climb though if you’re interested. I’ll come back again when the fence is down and the cave is open.

Only a few muddy spots on the trail today (4/16/18)
I hiked the loop counterclockwise.
I found this one through...

The “Eldorado Falls” are not well marked. :(
I will definitely do this hike again and spend more time by South Boulder Creek.

Did it yesterday, MicroSpikes are a must, however some people did it without them.

Outstanding trail. Rushing creek, expansive prairie, winding woodsy paths. It’s great, and tiring! Worth it.

I don’t understand why this is rated hard and Sanitas is rated moderate.

Very rocky and in some areas eroded. Nice tree coverage. For the most part a lot of incline... up up up! Heavy traffic on the weekends, lots of families and dogs. The parking lot was full by 1 PM on Sunday.

Love this area! Packed snow the whole way to Lost Lake, spikes or snowshoes are not necessary but I did see a few folks with them on. The dirt road leading up the fork for Hessie TH and 4th of July was closed. So be sure to get here early as parking (which in general is tough usually) will have to be on the side of the road in Eldora until the dirt road reopens. Very peaceful hike and I had the lake all to myself (started the hike around 8:30am). I will definitely be back in the summer!

It feels like 18,000 stairs. Moderate? The view at the top made it worth it. Very challenging hike. It was not crowded at all but the parking lot was full.

Have done this hike multiple times. Short but challenging as it a pretty consistent climb. The trail is clear of all snow and ice at this point. The nicer weather has brought out huge crowds lately, so go early! I had the top to myself today for several minutes around 930 AM. Great views at the top!
