wide range of things to see. so much fun and by far one of my favorite hikes I've done. I did the glacier and back down the other side so it was a bit longer but absolutely incredible.

It’s a quick jaunt. Still a little muddy and slick in some places.

Pretty steep trail and very muddy which made it slippery.

If you want to enjoy the sunset in a quiet place, you have to try it.

Short but steep. Beautiful view.

Great views of the city!

Pretty views! Awesome place!

Great city view, try it night time...

Beautiful area just out side of San Francisco. It was breathtaking seeing the redwoods. Can get pretty crowded so I suggest arriving early.

I've done this hike 5 or 6 times and it's consistently great, although there are always plenty of other people and their dogs on the trail. The trail is a short scenic drive from downtown Moab, and the hike itself is only a mile each way without too much climbing. It's a beautiful place. The first time I did it I was intimidated by the cable and the ladder, but they are actually pretty easy. The trail is well marked with green paint on the rocks and a few cairns, but there are signs that a lot of people and dogs are wandering off the trail and tearing up the fragile soil. Please don't do that.

Amazing. One of my favorite arches in the area!!! Best part is that it’s outside the park so it’s free to hike there.

Great view, very easy hike.

Stunning and a must visit. I did this today. Arrived in the parking lot at 6:30 for a 6:50 sunrise, with plenty of time to spare. The walk to the arch is only 10 minutes. There were about 6 other people there. If going in the winter, bring gloves and warm layers! It was 30 degrees this morning and even with gloves, my fingers were numb by the end of it. This is well worth the visit and braving the cold for beautiful views and photos.

What an amazing hike! Very easy, short distance and enough variance in terrain we didn’t get bored! We brought our 30lb pup, he absolutely loved it and did great. Just one section with a metal rope, we carried him up. All other sections very do able for a dog to go around. Arches were gorgeous!

Catching up on some reviews, so note that I did this in early September. I know many people start around 2am to get to the summit at sunrise, but I just wasn't done for that this go around. Started the trail around 7am and got back to the car around 2pm. Lots of people going both directions. The log at the top was already filled with 200 names, just from that day!! Saw a mother moose and her two babies, as well as a mountain goat. Beautifil wildflowers filled the fields. Great time with some good friends--would definitely recommend doing this one.

Really loved this trail with my husband and doggo. I thought it was challenging enough to be fun and rewarding and I loved the arch as much as delicate arch honestly. There’s one section with a ladder where we had to pick up our pooch and one small climb where you’re holding onto a rope and using footholds, but it’s short and even a cautious creature like me could handle it. Almost no one on this trail!

very peaceful hike

took my pups up during a storm, beautiful views, trail easily disappears during thr winter so its easy to get turned around in the evening hours but still a great hike.

Trail was muddy after the turn from the living room. Along the final climb spikes were very useful because of the hard ice up.

This little hike combines the beauty of Canyonlands with the amazing Mesa Arch. The arch frames the Canyonlands vista. The trail goes from the parking lot to the rim of the canyon at a point where an arch has been formed right at the rim of the canyon. Well worth the stop.

I loved this trail up to the saddle. I must have done it on the busiest weekend of the year so it was a little treacherous actually summiting due to mostly a lot of boys jostling, and the summit itself was very chaotic with lots of people on it. But the part up to that was pretty mellow and had such spectacular views of the wasatch and was lush with flowers. When I do this again, I’ll just go up the the big meadow on the timpooneke side or the emerald lake, once on the summit was enough for me.

Great hike with amazing views of the Valley. Great workout and worth making it all the way to the top.

Still muddy. Gorgeous view. I expected natural rock formations as the furniture but it’s stacks of rocks in the form of chairs. A bit steep. Definitely a moderate trail.

Love this hike. It's very rewarding, steep and strenuous. Great workout! There was hardly any snow last week amd we didn't use spikes.

The headlamp hike to Jacks Mt last weekend was good. I love the tributes at the summit. Heart warming stuff. I decided to proceed to the to the ridge line behind to the east. WORST MILE EVER. I ran out of deer trails altogether and found out that rocks are hard and shins are softer. My own mistake. Socked in at the top so no payoff. I'll turn around after summiting Jacks next time.

Completed this hike on 2/3/18. This is always a great easy-moderate hike with great views of downtown SLC and plenty of wildlife. Lots of wind at the summit, but still worth it.

Good short hike! Only took me around 35 minutes and I’m a beginner. A little steep on the way up but worth the view!

trail is dry now. 2.14.18

Fun little hike. Steep, but short. Cool history behind it and nice view of the city!

Great trail for a quick hike. Beautiful view of the Salt Lake Valley!
