Beautiful weather for a snowy hike today!

This is a great little trail! The views at the summit are perfect. We had the summit to ourselves at 9am, but came across many others on the way down. Lots of unleashed dogs.

The snow was fairly well-packed, and we used microspikes, but didn't need poles.

Awesome hike. Short, but difficult. Amazing views. Super windy at the top, would have liked to continue on to the other peaks, but decided to descend since I wasn't appropriately dressed.

Great hike! Through the pines for most of the trip and then pop out above tree line for gorgeous views. Spikes or poles recommended.

Quick hike with awesome views! spikes/yaktrax recommended, summit has a very open 360 degree beautiful view as well!! Hike it regularly!

Hiked this morning. Bit of ice and mud, but we had hiking boots on so no issues. Lots of people coming up from 11am so worth doing in the morning if you’re not a fan of crowds.

Quick easy hike and a good view of Denver :)

Awesome! Really fun with my boyfriend and dog. Absolutely amazing views! Also just really peaceful with very few people on the trail on a Thursday. But even on a day where Denver was 74 degrees, I regretted not bringing a jacket. Also the trail was very icy and slushy in some areas. We were really glad we parked at and hiked the west trail (thanks to another review here). Will do again!

Great hike in March, icy trails. Came across bears by the river.

HIked on 3/17. Packed. No snowshoes required. HIking boots/trail shoes required. Not a very pretty trail, but links up with others which is a work around for a lack of parking at Bear Lake.

Awesome hike. Still icey but fun.

Hiked today 3/20. The trail from the rock steps up was very icy and micro spikes were very helpful. I ran into many people who turned back because of the ice. It’s a great trail and the arch is really nice with great views.
Difficult but definitely worth it.

Took West ridge to meadow view to bear creek to bear creek cutoff. The trail was pretty snowy, slushy and muddy the whole way from Sunday’s snow but manageable in just hiking boots. Had a little bit of trouble finding the trail at the bear creek/ bear creek cutoff crossing because of the snow coverage it took me a while to realize that the fences were trail crossings. Over all a beautiful trail can’t wait to go back once the snow melts.

It’s not even a trail. You park on a residential street, walk 3,000 ft up the mountain to a dead end with no trail. Waste of time.

Hiked in early March, good amount of ice on trails, i had no spikes or poles but easy to avoid if you go from rock to rock, as there are a lot of rocks. Awesome views of the east

Fun trail! Nice views looking east through the Gulch. I took the short trail from the Hotel Ruins to the Continental Divide Viewing area. Short hike between those two points. There was a nice, steady incline all the way up.

This was a really fun hike. There were a few icy patches, but overall it was clear. It was challenging because it climbs a lot over low mileage. Great views and the arch is amazing.

Great views of the Front Range and Denver including Res Rocks. This is a must hike!

awesome hike. bluebird skies on 3/17. no need for spikes. brought trekking poles to ease descent. dress appropriately it is windy and cold even on a low wind day like I had. Loveland pass was forecasted to have 10-15 mph winds.

Hit the trail at 7:20 took me about 2.5-3 hours to do the whole thing. The first section up to the saddle of Sniktau/Cupid is rough. Easy to psyche yourself out there especially when the sun hasn't come over there hillside and it's windy. Stick through it though, totally worth it.

Steep hike so bring an extra pair of lungs if you’re built for speed, not for comfort. Great views with rock formations at top. Great place to hang out in the sun for a bit.

Great short hike with stunning views in every direction at the top. Packed snow most of the way 3/17, spikes a big help. Gorgeous day!

An absolutely beautiful trail. We took it up to the Continental Divide Outlook. The views are amazing. There were a few icy patches but nothing to difficult to get through in normal hiking shoes.

I would give this a moderate rating in the winter! Steep incline and icy at spots until you get to the top. Great views! I recommend for a short hike outside of the metro area

Great interval training, good views and not crowded

This was an awesome trail today (Mar 17, 2018). Pretty short, but spectacular views. I started off wanting to do Grizzly/Cupid but the winds looked rough on the summit of Grizzly. On the Snitaku ridge line winds were pretty calm, they picked up around 9 am but were probably not more than 15-20 MPH. I left the TH around 7:15 am and probably finished in 2.5-3 hours---forgot to record on my phone. The trail is pretty much bare, no need for traction, flotation, or gaiters.

Enjoyable hike! Did the West Ridge Trail to Bear Creek trail to Bear creek cut off. I like how you can link trails to make your hike longer or shorter. Very minimal mud and ice today. Nice balance of shade and sun. No big ‘vistas’ but lovely meadow and trees.

A good beginning of season hike. I found it to be busy, but beautiful. I will definitely come back. For those with dogs there is a brief stretch you must share with mountain bikers, not ideal for bikers or dog owners but it's a short stretch. This will definitely go in my early season rotation.

great trail with a steady incline pretty much the whole way up. I did this with my wife and two teen sons and enjoyed it very much. fantastic views once you break the treeline. it didnt seem to busy either.

Trail was very snowy and due to the past few days of wind the snow wasn't very packed. Super beautiful and amazing hike and there were plenty of people on the trail, but I would not recommend it without snow shoes or spikes

Pretty hike! Short enough to do mid-day, microspikes would be beneficial!
