Great for a family trip!

So me, my gf, and a fellow couple we met off of IG, did this as a night hike. Legit the perfect night hike to do if you have never night hiked before. I say that because the trail is short 2.5 miles up, and is extremely wide and well maintained. We started at 4:45 Am and were to the top by 5:45 Am with about two stops for water. Just in time for sunrise, which is why we night hiked it in the first place. Be carful, the trail gets a little rocky towards the end, but other than that pretty safe. I was there yesterday and it is still very hazy and Smokey from the wild fires, but I appreciated the different perspective. Over all a great hike and would recommend to any hikers or beginner hikers. The views of the lake and every greens our our this world, and I’m saying that on a hazy day. So could you imagine a clear day ? I’ll deff be back.

It was a fabulous backpacking trip. we only stayed one night but it was just right amount hiking. Took my 70 lbs dog with me and he did just fine. we did see some bear tracks but no bear. the views are awesome! well worth it.

Got in early and it wasn't too crowded for a Saturday. Gorgeous falls with good chances for nice photos. Friendly hikers. Easy trail down, not too tough back up but I did sweat.

Easy hike for kids with an amazing view. This was my niece's first hike (3 years) and she did well, but tired by the end. The rangers at the top were great about answering questions and explaining to my kids how the caves formed and why they were dangerous. Please listen to all the signs and do not go inside!

Absolutely awesome hike with beautiful scenery and the lake is stunning and a great place for a picnic! We hiked this trail with four kids (7, 7 1/2, 9 1/2, 9 1/2) and they were tired but did great, although they have hiked quite a bit. The littlest had the most difficult time. Rocks, roots, and switchbacks makes this trail challenging for the out of shape hiker. The view is worth it!

The trail is very well maintained, lots of benches and break spots if ya need it! Did this hike early on a Monday and almost had the trail to myself! It was lovely!

Walked it with our cat, easy loop not much elevation. Stinks by the beach due to the sewer plant but other than that great area right in Seattle for a walk, bike, or run.

Beautiful hike, smokey today from all the fires. Hikes up around 4:30am and were only accompanied by another couple and photographer for a wedding shoot. Lovely sunrise spot, the mist and clouds looked so beautiful rolling in through the mountains and evergreens. Lots of people hiking up on our way back down around 9a.m. On a Monday. Definitely a spot to get to early. Took us about an hour, hour and a half up.

Hike is okay. The view is nothing spectacular up top. When I got back at 10am Sunday, the parking lot was full, so get there early.

Beautiful and friendly. Make sure you have the right pass (mountain pass or something like that.) Many rocks and roots and lots of uphill, including some switchback. But absolutely worth it.

With the fire going on, there's too much smoke. And no shade. Good workout, but mediocre Vista. I'm sure it's splendid when visibility is good.

If you want to hop off your tour bus and see some easy waterfalls then you will enjoy. if you want to hike to the bottom of the falls and escape the tour buses then you will not enjoy. The hike to the bottom is just a viewing platform, you are not able to get very close to the water unfortunately.

Lots of parking and people.

Amazing views and a moderate hike. Would give 5 stars but the amount of people brings down the appeal a little bit. At 3pm on a Tuesday there were around 25 people at the top.

Loved it, get there early to get a spot and bring your Discover Pass. You can purchase a day pass in the parking lot for $10. Recommend walking sticks for the descent. Beautiful views of river and falls.
Air quality was good but a bit of a haze still lingered.

Been there on 2018/06/16 Saturday. Best hiking place. It is a package with nice lake at the base and very good views from the top. Very big parking lot. And nice picnic area at the lake. Good place for Kayaking in lake. Relatively near by and easily accessible from Issaquah and I-90.

Been there on 2018/06/02. Very good hike. Lot of crowd. Paragliding at the same point. Near to Issaquah Front street. Has a designated parking lot but small. I would go there again.

Been there on Saturday 2018/08/18. Took two hours - to and fro. I did not like it. Waterfall is very small not like the pictures shown. Hike it self is not pleasant and It is more of walk in the woods than hike. No proper signs, some confusion on trail route at couple of junctions, we made it though. 'All Trails' app map helps some extent. No designated parking lot, we were there at around 7:30 and could easily find the place to park on roadside. There is no board or sign at the trail head so it was confusing and had to wait for other hikers to come and follow them. Trail head is at at the junction of Mountain View Rd & Cherry Valley Rd where couple of concrete blocks are placed. It is an easy and long walk and good for kids. Do I go there again? Nope.

Good short hike. Good elevation to get your body working. Very heavily trafficked. We reached at 8:45 am and parking was starting to get full, and while coming back there were even more people going up.
The view from the top is spectacular, only problem being the high number of people. Overall a good hike.

It is definitely a moderate trail...some really steep hills . I personally thought the view while walking was better than the water view at the top. We saw a deer as well when we reached at the top.
The trails that branch off at the top are kinda nice.
Would suggest to go on a clear day...60F and sunny will feel very very hot while walking.

Pretty hike! Way too many people...

Fairly steep but great trail. Leave early to avoid the crowds.

First hike in the PNW and although it was great to get out... this hikes “work to reward” (views) ratio was lackluster.

I’m a novice hiker and this was my second hike in the PNW so far. The views along the way made it really enjoyable the whole way.

We did this hike today and it's beautiful. The first cave is easily accessible however the others require little effort but worth it. There was a water curtain due to a small water fall behind the cave in the last one. It was worth taking the effort to go up till there. We actually entered and experienced the cave from inside however one of the cave, which was small and fragile collapsed right behind us, be careful and don't risk.

Good exercise, and great for your first trail run. Really crowded trail. If you are interested in great views it is better to go elsewhere.

Great hike for all skill levels. very rewarding view at the top. plenty of other trails branch off from the main trail to turn a few miles into a few days in the Olympics.

For being inside of Seattle this is a great place to spend your day.

parking wasn't bad. the trail was fairly easy at the beginning. starts to get a slight incline a bit later but overall was an easy and relaxing hike. The way back is worse though because its mostly up hill. Seeing the old kiln is cool and if you hike past that for a mile is the river which you can eventually go down to if you want. The path to the river is a bit narrow so be careful. I'd go again. I went during the week in the early afternoon.
