Crowded but still very pleasant short hike.

Excellent trail. Very maintained and marked well. The park staff were very nice and approachable

This was a great trail and we accomplished it in 5 hours. Definitely needs a crosswalk at the intersection of park ave and highway 7

Great intermediate trail

We hiked this with our dog and enjoyed the diverse landscapes, views, and creek crossings. We hiked the Cedar Creek Trail afterwards and I would highly recommend that shorter (slightly more rigorous) trail for more water crossings and views. Also, don’t miss the scenic overlook towards the entrance of Petit Jean State Park (Stouts Point)

This is a really beautiful trail. There are some climbing parts. We started near the waterfall instead of at the visitor center, so then the visitor center was mid-way if we needed bathrooms or to pick up anything. We logged it a little longer than the 3.2.

This trail has several things to see. There is the natural land bridge, the grotto, and some turtle formed rocks. All in all, this trail should be on everyone's bucket list.

This trail was very busy, lots of leashed dogs, but totally worth it and all very courteous hikers.

The trail was rewarding especially when you get to see a beautiful waterfall. It was a lot of fun!

Nice trail. Better after a heavy rain.

The trails are well blazed and cleared for trekkers. During rainy seasons keep in mind the trails are on a incline into a hallow so the paths could be flowing with water.

Very very nice place

Good trail. Colors should really peak in the next week or so

Leaves were beautiful today. The hickories were a gorgeous yellow and the gums (I think) were bright red. A lot of trees are still green, but I thought it made the colors pop and stand out. Good week to get up there!

The trail offers 4 scenic hollows that make up for the 3 missing ones. Highlights include ‘Natural Bridge’ and ‘Grotto’. Terrain is variable: groomed/rough, dry/wet, level/steep with lots of natural rocks integrated into the trail. The creek was flowing freely with large rocks well placed to cross over. Poles are helpful to navigate unsteady/steep surfaces. Overall, a wonderful hike.

Good trek. Well marked.

There’s nothing particularly special about this trail, but it is a decent trail. The coolest and most unique thing to me was that this trail goes through town and then back into the woods. This trail is way more about the challenging terrain and distance than anything else. We felt highly accomplished that we completed a trail of this distance and it was certainly exhausting. The trail is very rocky in many parts so it can slow progress. There are also many steep climbs. This combined with the distance is what rightfully gives it a ‘hard’ rating. Be sure to have plenty of water, good footwear, and a compass. The trail is mostly easy to follow, but there were a few spots where the trail wasn’t marked properly and we had to check the map/compass to make sure we were going in the right direction. Overall, there are probably more scenic trails in AR, but this one was also conveniently close to town and our camp.

Great trail with the family with doggie clean up bags at the trail head!

Definitely more challenging than the bench trail down below. Some great views all over the mountain.

Great trail. Great view!

Nice loop, not too difficult. Great scenery and creek along majority of the trail with multiple crossings. Grotto and Natural bridge are nice to see.

It was great ! We met several other hikers along the way . There were areas where the trail wasn’t that wide close to cliffs . I am 56 and new to hiking . My wife and daughter joined me in the hike . To be quite honest it was a little bit more than I expected . However we pushed through and found ourselves tired and sore , but it was worth it ! Spectacular views

Wonderful photogenic spot with great reflections of red mill in the water.

we went in the evening, trail had very few people on it. it was a beautiful sight. can't wait to return to stay at the lodge and adventure out on more trails.

great trail after a big rain, don’t skip the grotto it’s an extra .25 off the main trail

some big slick rocks but all in all a pretty easy trail if you take your time, I stopped several times and still finished right under 4 hours and I’m pretty slow

Just a really nice rewarding hike. All around good

This was by far the best hike I have ever completed. We don’t have much hiking near my home (Memphis, TN) so this was an incredible find for me and my friend. The hike back up the switchbacks was tough, but we were expecting it. I would highly recommend pushing yourself further to make it around to the backside of the waterfall. I can’t wait to do this hike again next year!

I think that this was a good trail around the lake. I thought the old dam was cool looking!
