We love it here! It’s a beautiful walk to the bay. Very easy walk, well maintained and clean. Wide pathways.

Great views- good hike for kids to burn tons of energy! watch out for cliffs and stay close to kids.

It is a great trail with many ups and downs which is a nice workout. The trees and forest are beautiful and the trails were well taken care of. The only amazing scary sounds we heard were monkeys.....oooh sorry they were our kids trying to make us think there were monkeys on the trail. Seriously though we will be back !!!

Accessible from the lower parking lot. Easy walk. Impressive tree.

Impressive tree! Definitely worth the short walk.

Quick walk. Worth seeing the 800 yr old tree from the upper parking lot.

Nice short walk

it was boring. 5.2 miles straight out and back. the end was where your pot of gold was but the trail itself was simply a walking path, couldn't even see the ocean. We veered off into the dunes on what appeared to be a horse trail and found the beach which was much more fun and exciting. This trail would be great for mountain bikers or horses but for walkers/hikers wanting to enjoy the journey, not the destition, not so good.

Easy trail, fun tour of small lighthouse

Quick and easy

good for kids. cool tree.

beautiful little Trail with lots of interpretive signs to learn about the local areas history. it is more of a walk than a hike, which makes it perfect for the whole family.

Easy short hike. Beautifully maintained. Great for any activity level as there’s MANY benches spread throughout if someone needs frequent rests. MANY! And a potty in the middle.

Flat easy, trail and well maintained! Informative markers share a bit of Kilchis history along the way. The views are great and there is a bird watching station. Plenty of benches along the way to stop and rest.

"None shall pass!" I played the part of the balrog while Sequoia was the young version of Gandalf guarding the Bridge of Khazad-dûm. A nice family adopted me into their hiking group for a few minutes. In addition to that bit of fun the loop was quite enjoyable and scenic. It was fairly crowded, probably from people staying at the adjacent campground.

easy,good birding even,several ecosystems,even saw a bald eagle.

Really short, worth seeing the tree.

Great views! Saw whales! Just head toward the big sand hill to the north and then go up left side of it to get to a viewpoint.

Fantastic walk! Good hike with kids and toddlers!

So directions lead me to the beach and not the trail. I would have given it more stars if I actually found the trail. I did however enjoy the beach/coast view.

perfect for my 3yr old. well maintained trails, just long enough to make the drive worth it.

Extremely well maintained trail. Beautiful grounds.

Beautiful views. Busy but not overly crowded.

I wouldn’t bother with this trail. It’s super sandy and not interesting.

We loved the octopus tree and the little lighthouse. We were able to go inside and to the top. The trails weren’t too difficult for our group of ages 9 and older. Would recommend. Beautiful views.
