It was very overcast at the bottom of the mountain and I almost turned back. So glad I didn’t, the road to the trail head (Conners Camp) eventually came out on top of the clouds! The trail / hike was great although more snow towards the top than I was prepared for. View at the top was sunny but above the clouds so no coastal range or Three Sisters . Will come back in the spring!

Great hike with incredible views. Do not be mislead by the trail that takes off from the parking lot--the actual trail starts down the gravel road a little ways and is marked by a sign about not spreading seeds and a boot scrubber. The route that takes off from the parking lot is a social trail that has been created recently--unimproved and poorly routed, don't add to the damage by taking this route! The actual trail is well maintained, with a few slippery spots and two small logs to cross. Dog friendly. Please respect the cultural significance of this site and not disturb any rocks at the summit. It was disheartening to see how much disturbance has occurred in the last couple of years.

Super cool bit of Oregon history here

In my mind this was a perfect mediocre hike! Not too much of an incline although this is most definitely a good workout. Great views throughout the trail even on a foggy and overcast day.

Great hike, moderate incline and well maintained smooth trail. Little parking lot with no toilet. Stunning 360* views if you can climb up a short steep trail at the top. Beautiful view of mt. jefferson

Hiked on 11/18. Gate closed so u have to hike half mile to TH. No bathrooms, no parking fee. Took trip around the lake first which was quite serene. No sun, no views but lots of cool mushrooms, unusual tree roots

Incredible day we had for this hike! We could see Mt Hood, Jefferson, Three Sisters, the ocean, and the beauty of the forests as far as you can see. Perfect distance and elevation for a fun hike with friends. You do need a forest pass.

Very difficult trail. Very cold weather.

One of my favorite hikes in Oregon that often gets overlooked. The view from the top is always worth it. Easy hike, well maintained trail and dog friendly.

I’m an avid hiker and frequently complete 14-20 mile hikes with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain. This trail was poorly marked and there was not a map at the trailhead (just a poison oak warning sign). After hiking about a half mile the trail comes to a fork. The left was blocked off with rocks so we went right and there was an extremely steep, loose scree slope. I would not recommend attempting the scree without hiking boots. As this was an unplanned stop/hike and I was wearing an old pair of running shoes so I turned around. Back at the fork there were people coming off the left (blocked off) part of the trail. I started to head down that trail and could see people standing on Mitchell Point through the trees. However the trail was extremely over grown and was washed out in some places. That coupled with all of the poison oak made me decide to turn around. I would not recommend this hike. The views from the trailhead were just as good and there are better trails in the area. Now that I see the all trails map, the left trail appears to be the correct path.

I loved this hike! We looked at both falls. Super fun to be able to walk behind both and see the backside of water. There was frost, so it was a little slippery in areas, but manageable.

Switchback incline was tough. But a break here and there and we were fine. Bathrooms were good. Cafe was perfect as we were cold and hungry.

This was a great hike with mild elevation change. Went on a clear day and the view from the peak is amazing. On one side you have mountains and the other you see the ocean.

beautiful even though it was short!

The term trail is a questionable at points, but the view is definitely worth the rocky trek.

Nice little hike through Mosier - precious Pioneer grave of local residents from 1800s. Beautiful waterfall and what looks to be a great swimming hike in the summer. Easy and lovely. Wish the coffee shop was open however when we were done.

Cool really short hike to an awesome waterfall!

We couldn’t find the falls even with the GPS... confusing signage and lots of red herring bike trails

Gorgeous views! A little slippery in spots but not too bad considering it was rainy. Kinda brutal, uphill alllll the way.

Don't take Berger Rd! It's terrifying!

Great introductory hike for a newbie. Not saying it was a breeze - my legs definitely felt the up and back but due to moderate length well accessible to all with the right shoes (I had tennis sneakers which were not ideal!) Anyway this walk has now got me up for more - !

My dog and I LOVED this trail.

Beautiful spot for a sunrise. I recommend traveling down river and exploring the canyon.

Had some steep hills, a bit slippery with the wet leaves and dirt! Gorgeous trail and views!

This is a beautiful trail through a lush forest that follows a stream and leads you to the impressive bridal veil falls. Nice and shaded, relaxing hike w some uphill along the way.

Started this hike in the later afternoon on 10/21/18 and was glad I brought the headlamps for the trip back down the mountain. There are many trailheads in this area and I was glad I picked this one. I always try to use map my ride app to track steps, distance and time which read 6.52miles. We did have to take the left at the very top because the marked trail on all trails was closed. Very enjoyable hike with several changes in terrains. It will get your heart rate up with the constant uphill that which is gradual to moderate. There is a bathroom at the trailhead and there is a $5 parking fee unless you have northwest forest pass.

Awesome hike, I’ve hiked it three times. Amazing falls.

Extremely steep most of the way up but the views at the top are worth it! Didn’t see anyone else on the trail and it was a beautiful clear day.

Great little hike. Really liked the cave! Not much of a waterfall but I was expecting that as it’s October. I’m sure it’s much bigger in the spring.

Lovely hike on easy trails. There are a couple beautiful falls for a shorter hike.

more steps than trail, but what views definitely do again

The first mile(ish) of the trail is rough, but to be expected after the devastating Whitewater fire. I never saw the "featured" lake though. I had an ineresting mind meld through the hike - from the first steps I took up the trail all I could see was the black charred timber and landscape. On the way back out (hiked all the way into Pamelia Lake) all I couls see was the new green growth. The forest has a magnificent way of healing itself :)
