Being scared of Heights, i was nervous about doing this. But it was not as bad as i thought it was going to be. Go early, we caught the first shuttle there. It was not that busy yet. The hike up to where Angels Landing starts, is the most difficult.

Short easy hike to Mesa Arch. It is one of the best views i have ever seen.

Awesome. Most inspiring, impressive, risky, spectacular view, trail I have hiked. It is only risky if you don’t take your time, do dumb things, or wear inappropriate footwear. I don’t know what I can add to the thousands of five star reviews but it is truly a memorable and taxing hike to the top. On the day I ascended I was one of the only people I saw with gray in his beard and hair! It is strenuous but worth the hike/climb. I did this with my son when he was 16 or 17 years old and it is still one of our most memorable experiences. Highly recommended, although if you have a fear of heights you may want to avoid this one. it really is safe with a chain guide on posts in all the appropriate places. But, the drop off is straight down at about 1000 feet on either side of the ridge you where you spend the most taxing time of the hike. View from the top down the valley awe inspiring! This is one you’ll want to tell everyone about.

short trail easy for kids and pets. Was easy to get lost. It's right off the road.

I’d give the views of the place a 10/10 if I could. But the fact that there are SO many people that you can’t really enjoy it killed the buzz. On top of the fact that it is a long drive from SOAZ or Central AZ.

Very cool

This one scared me as it started raining towards the end. The views were gorgeous.

Try and get there as early as possible because the parking lot at this place is absolutely insane! It is way too over crowded and people don’t pay attention to where they’re going. The view is absolutely amazing and it’s a must see but I’m only giving it 4 stars because of how crazy the parking situation is.

I’m wasnt a huge hiker when I did this but I loved it. Years and hikes later, this is still one of my all time favorite hikes

Wow this was insane. I’m afraid of heights so I had a few minor panic attacks, but I’m SO thankful I did this hike. Many hikers passed me and were very encouraging. We went in July which is monsoon season and we got caught on the top by a thunderstorm. It was fun though.

Trail was closed due to recent flooding. I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to hike it. We were told that parts of the trail were destroyed, so it will be a while before it reopens.

Best hike I’ve done but the kids at the top really scared me

Don't have any words for the views, its amazing. one of the best places i have ever seen.

Amazing! One of my favorites hikes ever (along with Mist Trail in Yosemite). Really fun rock scramble type hike, and GREAT views. I was a little nervous from the pictures and descriptions, especially because the whole family (no small kids) was going and I didn't want to lose anyone, but it was not as scary once you were doing it because they have chains for you to hold on to at all the narrow parts. Everyone LOVED it! It's also not as difficult as some other famous day hikes, so if you hike regularly, you won't be too exhausted.

Absolutely phenomenal but definitely not for the faint of heart. There were a few times on the chained portion where you have few feet of space to walk with sheer cliffs on either side. Definitely try to go early in the morning because 1. the heat gets up there later in the day and 2. the sheer amount of people is insane around the early afternoon.

My group began at around 8am and finished at 1:30pm but we took our time at the peak. We were there around memorial day and there were far too many people on the climbing portion at a time. They definitely need extra rangers there before something goes awry. Bring good climbing shoes and take deep breaths during your climb, the view at the top is so worth it!

This canyon may be the best I have ever hiked despite the crowd. Went around 10 am but still got plenty of great shots. Would definitely go again when in the area.

Short hike, crowded and need to wear good shoes. Sand covered rock makes for an easy slip. Saw a couple people go down. Was very windy and got sand in my eye on a couple occasions. Was there early evening, maybe its better at sunset but was not impressed.

Truly an amazing experience

Exactly what a true thrill seeker should be doing for a hike! Strenuous with an awe inspiring payoff. Bring lots of water, preferably a hydration bladder with at least 2L in it and get ready to work!

The best hike in the park. Don't let the steep incline scare you. We went to the right of the trail.

Go early! YOU CAN DO ITTTTT!

Went with family on June 20th, was hot but not something I'm not use too. I was pretty much carry my 40L backpack just to carry lots of water and food for a group of 9. It actually worked out because everyone had those little day packs with water. I saw people climbing trail with one little bottle of water, on my way down would find people going up really dehydrated; luckily I was able to help. Don't be to fearless with the hike. But honestly it's breathtaking and life changing. I got up to the highest point on the rock. Sudden wind felt scary. I hope my information helped you. Stay safe & hydrated!!!

Awesome hike! I did it in July and took the very first bus at 6AM. There are parts where it’s shaded but for the most part it’s exposed and the temperature at Zion got to 106 the day I did it.
Also, it wasn’t nearly as crowded.
The chains are not always necessary and trying to hold on to them can actually make it harder. It’s not too hard, and it’s a stunning great workout. Highly recommend it.

Did this in March of 2013 and it did not disappoint. I would not pack a baby on this but that’s just me. I also wouldn’t take young kids. Watch the weather before you go as this would not be a fun spot to get out of during the rain.
