Love this hike!

Easy for a quick trip in the heat. The view is amazing!

Great hike. I took my 8 and 4 year olds with me and they did fine. Steady incline thats not too steep. A couple good view points, most notably on the north east side of the trail. Its easier than snow and bench lakes just down the road, but not as pretty. Still a great hike. Will do again.

The stairs are a bit steep, but overall an easy hike. Bugs are heavy but it motivates you to keep moving. View are exceptional. Wildflowers are blooming, too!

Beautiful scenery! Half way down the trail you will see a metal stake in the ground and a couple pieces of wood blocking the trail. You are missing out if you don’t take that path down to the lake! It is kind of overgrown but if you want a picture of the mountain reflecting over the lake this is the only spot to get it. Absolutely stunning!! Would have been a perfect hike if the bugs weren’t so bad!

AMAZING views! Tough walk for the kids. We had so much fun! Still a good amount of snow on the trail despite Temps in the 90s. Got only 4 stars only because it was insanely crowded. Walked in crowds almost the whole way.

Amazing views of Rainier along the way! This is a must do hike! We had a great view of Adams at the saddle. Keep going up to Plumbers Peak, you won’t regret it! We had a 360 view of Adams, Hood, Helens and Rainier. Can’t wait to go back!

Hiked here today. Short, slightly challenging. Would have enjoyed it more if we had not been swarmed by bugs the entire hike. I’d do it again in colder weather or if I can wear a mosquito net.

Fun trail. Challenging for beginners but I had fun keeping up with my kids. There is a waterfall past snow lake at the very end of the trail.

Pros:
Cool during the summer
Relatively easy with a few stairs, and mounds to go up and over
Fresh blackberries in the right season

Cons:
Trash
Not always safe to go alone
Gang graffiti

This is a nice easy hike, we took it just before 7am and by the time we got out it was already getting hot outside (80F by 8am) but you couldn’t feel it on the trail because most of it is covered by trees and the canal goes through there keeping it pretty cool.

Unfortunately, it does have garbage and some graffiti (not even cool looking ones :( ) and it does have some obvious signs of homeless camp sites. It probably wouldn’t be best to go alone.

I went with a friend and we both brought our dogs. The trail was mostly quiet minus some birds, a couple feral cats, and the 2 other dog walkers we saw.

If you need to go on a hike in the Tri-Cities during the summer it is probably the best spot to go unless you want to wake up at 4 in the morning. (It’s supposed to get to 106f today!). The rest of the year I would probably recommend any other place though.

Short easy hike with really good views

Great hike for a 4 year old even though the bridges were washed out from winter and about 1/3 of the loop was covered in snow. The snow patches were always short enough we could find our way to the trail on the other side, and kept my son entertained and motivated.

The Dead Horse Creek portion of this loop is still covered in a ton of snow. Be careful! The views are amazing and there is definitely wildlife around. Found a couple of paw prints in the snow from a mountain lion.

really nice trail. I went today with my two kids and they loved it!

Absolutely not wheelchair or bike friendly. That being said it is a beautiful trail. Waterfall is dried up but theres an okay fenced off meadow at the end of the trail.

Loved the changing vegetation and terrain. The end view was amazing. The only down part was walking back. Great is for kids and adults alike. Amazing views.

M CM pretty much said it all, which is to bad because it is a nice walk.

Hiked on 6/30/18. Easy for all ages. Some short snow covered areas near snow lake but easily traversed with normal shoes and the help of some poles.

Wonderful hike that’s got a decent amount of flora and fauna to enjoy. Not many views from the loop however.

Pathway of overgrown weeds and garbage following a drainage ditch through a neighborhood. Wouldn’t waist your time

amazing trail. bench lake access is kinda lame... but snow lake was beautiful and you can get right up to the lake to chill in multiple areas without overgrowth. went on 25 june and still a good bit of snow in spots of the trail

Lots of snow on the trail. Starting to melt so some spots are sketchy. We definitely sunk a couple times and my friend ended up in the creek. Poles are helpful. We only made it to the meadow and hung out there for a bit before turning around because people were heading back with waders, and ice picks, and hiking boots, and poles, and spikes, and they kept asking us how far we were planning on going and saying the snow is only worse the farther you go in. Would still recommend. Incredible views of the mountain and there weren’t a ton of people (probably because of the snow and it wasn’t SUPeR nice out).

HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU WALK THIS TRAIL such a beautiful area! And didn’t even know the Ford Slope existed til today! Interesting trail!

Lots of cottonwood blowing around this time of year.

Fun hiking, tons of trails to choose from to match your skill level. Trails are very well marked and maintained.

Easy fun trail to do without thinking! Just some exercise

Fun family hike with a few steep steps.

Easy hike. We took whole family, kids and family members of all ages. Views are of forest and trees thought we might see a bit more of the area. We did stick to main loop. Maybe next time we will go off main trail to see if views change.

Easy hike/walk. Not crowded, but got there early. Beautiful waterfall-ish. Not crowded.
