The trails at this park are in fantastic condition and very well maintained. Even on a nice Saturday, it was not super busy and I had plenty of peaceful alone time. It’s worth noting that there is not an actual trail called “Dash Point Trail”. The entire park is a series of small connected choose-your-own adventure trails. There were maps and signs throughout, making navigation quite simple. In total I was able to get in 5.6 miles pretty easily.

Nice easy hike. Bring the family. From the trail head and around the lake it is not as far as the map states. Pleasant walk if you have low experienced hikers if just want a nice stroll. Well maintained trail, lots of salamanders.

Great hike! Dog loved it too! Beautiful views! We will def be back!

Pretty trail. A lot of people. A lot of unleashed dogs. Be prepared to do some ankle deep wading.

Gorgeous trail. Beautiful river vistas.

beautiful old forest. easy trail

Beautiful easy stroll. A few small and one not as small river crossings.

A really unique hike. I did it solo and quickly felt it would have been a better time with a few other people. Make sure you have at least two durable and dependable head lamps. Some rock scrambling is necessary. Hiked March 6th, and it was warmer in the cave than outside, at about 40*.

does anyone know someone to contact for a reopen date of this trail?

Nice and easy hike through the snow. Didn’t need snowshoes or spikes.

I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the trails. Even with all of the rain/snow we've had they really weren't very muddy. Well maintained. Beautiful scenery. Wasn't super busy today but I imagine on a sunny weekend day it probably gets packed. Don't forget your Discover pass. When I was leaving a ranger was checking for them.

it was about a year ago that I went on this trail but it is super cool and unique, very beautiful. I am a Utah residing Washington native and this is probably my favorite hike of all time. I would, however, recommend bringing a sweatshirt, a headlight, and a handheld light (per person). Extra batteries wouldn't hurt, either. I love this trail, though!

A bit muddy, but I enjoyed the combination of forest and ocean. Perhaps a better place to camp out than hike.

Great view of the falls but trail is closed when you get close. Looks like downed trees is the cause.

who's doing a 12 mi loop?? drop a car in Ecola and rally at pelican then get your car in seaside later.

Awesome hike! There are plenty of stops along the way to look out at the ocean. Way less muddy than we thought it’d be considering the rain this past month. If you can time your hike to be at the beach during low tide it’s really nice to look in the tide pools. Lots of starfish and other creatures.

great views, easy hiking, big trees!

Very pretty hike. Didn't need snow shoes or spikes.

Never hiked before. A buddy and I who have been working out and losing weight for a month now decided to try this out and whoa! A lot of reviews say easy - for us not so much haha! The hill at the beginning seemed like it would never end. The views are nice. The quiet is peaceful and very enjoyable. The gravel road going downhill is annoying. Some muddy places but not too bad. We were the only ones on the trail which was nice. Saw some people down by the guest house but no one on the actual trail. Reviewing on the trail itself, the views and the overall experience. We recorded 3.3 miles instead of 2.7. Also,, the elevation recorded said 581ft but the trail map we were on says 769ft at our peak. Not sure what that's about.

We are excited about exploring more trails and can't wait to keep pushing ourselves to be healthier and see some cool places along the way!

It was really challenging for someone that’s never done it before, but I loved every minute of it. I’ll be back for sure to beat my personal record.

Beautiful day on the trail. Water is raging, it’s amazing!! Some snow in areas, but just a light dusting. Road had some icy spots but just before you get to the trailhead. I’ve never hike this trail at this time of year, it was awesome!!!!

Breathtaking views yesterday 02/10/18! Great trail for beginner snowshoeing. Plenty of snow for skiing or snowshoeing!

Lovely, quiet, easy!

be sure to get a snow pass for 23 dollars which can be purchased at the local store before the trail otherwise it's a 100 dollar fine. slushy snow at the start you have to walk about three quarters of a mile to the cave entrance due to snow. cave drips from the ceiling all throughout snow is at about 3ft right now upon departing the upper cave entrance. kind of a tight squeeze here and there. hardest part of cave is a 6 ft shear faced wall you have to actually climb up. not really for the faint of heart be sure to have a fully charged flashlight or headlamp because it's a cave and its pitch black, there's an opening in the ceiling about 4 fifths of the way through the cave, thats when you know you've almost made it. to get back down the mountain follow the blue/green diamonds. enjoy be safe check for conditions and landslide information before heading out.

Definitely on the easy side, but a phenomenal view if you catch it on a clear day.

One of my favorite go-to hikes. Easy enough but very gratifying and exceptionally beautiful. Plan to spend some time driving on a forest service road to get there.

Trail is washed out about a mile in or so but it has some amazing views up and down the coast.

So even though the trail is closed, I advise you go anyways and just go as far as the trail leads you. It is closed due to erosion but if you go past the closed signs, It is breathtakingly beautiful AND dangerous so be smart. One of my favorite hikes now and I definitely recommend it.

Just a few grass widows but views wonderful. Had not done the loop before, enjoyed it.

Went today and was absolutely breathtaking! The snow was really coming down, as a snow storm was happening. Lots of fresh powder & only people out there. Had to park and walk just over a mile to trail head but the walk was pretty too. If you’re in the area DO THIS! Easy, flat, beautiful. Snowshoes are a must, deep deep snow.
